I'm watching cable, channel 55 , and Kevin Trudeau is talking about, "A weight Loss Cure"

Okay, for 1 thing, We do not have a diesease, so why are they calling it a cure??? We aren't sick.

and another thing, they say that Children are getting fatter and fatter and can't help it. IT'S NOT A SICKNESS!!!

I totally Agree. that's y I am starting the petition/ I'm overweight and I feel insulted by that word. We do not have dieseases. (pardon my spelling)

Obesity is caused by an eating disorder. A disorder is a disturbance in someone's physical or mental health. A cure corrects a disturbance in, or restores, health. That's my opinion and it's why I think 'cure' is an okay word for this context.

You can't bash someone just for the words they use anyway. I very much doubt he meant to offend anyone. :/

That's very true...

When you look at it from Mish's statement, it really does make sense to use that word. But, like I said in the other thread, a word is a word. Political correctness can only go so far before it just gets ridiculous.

 

I'm letting you know how it is, you won't change anything. Just let it go or watch something else.

 

To tel you all the truth, I wasn't watching it.... My sister was. We made a pact that whoever was on the interent wasn't allowed to control the phone or the t.v... My sister was watching it.. I asked her to change it but she said no. and I only have 1 computor in my house... and when I heard that.... It offended me!
