I miss rep because pointing out members stupidity in my de-reps gave me endless joy.

I've only seen that thread one time, and that one time was just now.

Okay, so, yeah. Interpretation problems and all that stem from what you stated in your example?

Pretty much, yeah. If we were speaking in person, I might not have as much of a problem with your communication skills.
    I agree.

The brownie recipe I use doesn't call for a light layer of vegetable oil over the batter in the pan, but I put it on anyway and they're delicious.

I'm just trying to point out that things that aren't called for aren't necessarily bad. Like my delicious fried brownies, for example.

I don't miss the rep. I always got scared before I posted when that was around. Now, I can say whatever I want, and all you can do is comment against it and/or ignore me.

I like you, but normally, I'd de-rep a post like this.

This is exactly why likes are a ****** idea and rep was a less ****** idea. Now we've got-- I hesitate to use the word people, but let's roll with it-- people who think that they're free to crap up the boards with nonsense of no value because it's not going to mark them as a pariah. That red block was stigmatic. It showed everyone that you were currently a huge faggot and that people should not be friends with you. Because you made this post you basically went from unobtrusive newbie to below Amaury. Basically, you are the worst person on the site. Go play in traffic while being chased by a mechanical giraffe or roller skates armed with laser guided missile systems. You really deserve it, kid.

Even though the blocks aren't there, you undoubtedly earn a reputation among the members. It's glaringly obvious when you are not well liked, and people won't hesitate for one second to point out your stupidity, at least in my experience. That said, you're right.

I agree that there are negatives of people thinking they can say literally whatever they want without consequence, you also have to consider that some people (don't know if this is the case with cse2311 or not), quite literally feel they can't post anything on the boards because they'll instantly be labeled stupid and mocked by the more poplar members.

Which yeah, high school is a high point (ohohoho) of cynicism for many people. I remember talking about how everyone around me was **** and the entire US was a crappy place to live. And that's fine -- if you're like 14 years old. Many people here are 18+, more and more sliding towards near the 20s range. I don't understand why adults are acting like the kind of people they probably hated during their high school years, and **** on new members or less popular ones because they use a lot of emotes, or they like something most people find lame and so on.

You have to keep in mind that there are different people here and you can't just expect them to conform to your idea of what a good member is. I dunno, I'm just getting really sick of people getting made the butt of jokes just for something they like or how they post; everyone's got a trail of less favorable stuff they did years back that they're not proud of, but they eventually grew out of it.

Ultimately, stop being acting like the elitist high schooler you probably weren't and realize that these "worst members" aren't the ones who've been mocked relentlessly, but are the ones who think treating people like shit's the only way they're gonna grow up and be "acceptable parts of KHV".

Clearly it hasn't worked for some here.
