This is my School network, so this is waaaay worse when there are many people here.

However, back home, I'd have around 40Mbits down and 20 Mbits up

The only problem I have with my connection speed is that I can't stream HD Netflix, otherwise I'm perfectly fine with it.

To everyone being all: mine sucks D; I will unleash my internetknowledgenerdity (which is probably a bit flawed, lol)
Don't look at your upload speed. Unless you do a lot of uploading of large files (via FTP or putting things on YouTube or something), you really don't need a very fast upload speed. You can usually see ISPs offering an upload speed around one-half or one-third of your download speed. That's because the average user just uses the connection to visit webpages--and the most you're uploading there is a packet requesting data from a web server, which you then download. The request packet is very small, size-wise, whereas the download packet is the webpage itself--all the images, the flashy stuff, and so on. We want and expect that at a fast rate, so ISPs put up the download speeds and scrimp on the upload speeds to conserve bandwidth. I believe in America the average download speed is like 3Mbps, and upload around 1Mbps. Could be wrong there.

    Anyway, mine:

I've seen both be around 20Mbps, download speed has been a bit slower lately for some reason but I'm not complaining haha.

I do quite a bit of uploading and downloading, not sure if you can beat me on that. I would do a speedtest but I am not running off my home internet at the moment.

For me it is constant, if I am on the computer which is very often, I am uploading or downloading. When i am not on the computer, it is still uploading or downloading. Mine can stay on for days and days and not even be warm.
