The man faced off against Ren. The two of them had their hand on the weapon on their back. Immediately the man drew his huge axe and swung it down with full force "your dead" the man yelled very loud. Ren smiled and drew the huge sword on his back and blocked the attack. Ren held back the attack for a while as the man pushed his axe against Ren's sword. Ren tried hard and managed to push the man away and knock him down. The crowd was surprised Ren was able to knock him down let alone block the man's attack. Ren walked up and pointed his sword at the man. The tip close to the man's nose. "your pretty strong but you have to control that anger" Ren said with a smile as he put his sword over his shoulder and began to walk away. "this is not over" the man said as he got up. Ren sighed and stopped walking "yeah it is. I don't want to hurt you so walk away" Ren said not even turning to face the guy. "shut up" the man yelled and ran at Seth with his axe ready to slash him but Ren was too fast and turned and slashed him across the chest. The man yelled in pain and fell down to his knees and watched as Ren walked away

Risit looked at Emiliana's finger and moved away from it. "No thanks." He replied, a bit surprised by the young woman's attitude. Even though he had told her something which she believed to be good news, Risit had not met anyone who wasn't in a state of depression in a long while. With all the horrible things going around, he thought that everyone was completely miserable. "Welk..." Emiliana was from Risit's hometown, the mention of it was enough for him to continue speaking. "I'm from there as well. Although it's been so long since I've been there." I've never been too curious, but were you ever a farmer? The spirit's question sounded out of place in his mind...but it did give him a reason to speak once more. "I was never a farmer. When I was born, crops around my family's farm just died off. My family survived only from the charity of others..." Then I left with the Shau and my family died of disease. Risit finished in his mind, slowing his pace as the two reached the edge of the city.

"That's unfortunate," Emiliana said sympathetically. She was going to ask how he came to live in Cala, when she heard the commotion becoming louder. "You're dead!" she could hear a deep voice shout from somewhere back in the city.
"That doesn't sound good..." she said in almost a sing-song tone. She looked up at Risit with nervousness. The sounds of violence were unignorable,
(OOC: lol did I just make up a word thar?) but there was no way of telling whether Risit was the type of person to investigate a situation like that.

Risit glanced over at the direction of the noise and rolled his eyes. It's died down a bit. Wonder if that's the only thing dead. He turned towards Emiliana, noticing the expression on her face. It was...amusing to him to find that a girl who could command lightning would be afraid of a fight going on elsewhere. "Don't worry about it. Getting involved in another's fight is...well, not healthy." Risit's beliefs were stronger than that though, getting involved with anyone was unhealthy in his eyes. He stopped walking and whistled loudly, calling for his horse that he knew was never too far away. "Wait for it..."

Ren sighed as he walked threw the town examining his blade and the blood on it "damn I really hate it when I have to wash this this. That guy can really bleed but then again it was his fault for attacking me from behind" Ren said as he continued to walk

"Or perhaps," Emiliana said thoughtfully, looking back at where the worrying noise was coming from, "by interfering, one could save another's life." She didn't move, until Risit's whistling nearly made her jump off the ground. "What the-...?"

Risit watched as a large black horse galloped towards them and came to a halt in front of Risit. "This is my horse. I name her." He patted the shining coat of the horse and let a faint smile show, the horse was probably the closest one to a friend he had at the moment. "I don't think anyone needs saving. Trust me on that." He motioned for Emiliana to come closer. "I'm assuming you've been on a horse before."

Within the castle walls of Cala, Dura was pacing back and forth in the throne room. He took a quick glance at stained glass window and noticed that the Sun was barely starting to set. He stopped walking and motioned towards one of his men to come forth. "I grow impatient of waiting for the games to begin. Let it be known that they will start tomorrow. I don't care how you get the word out. Just do it."

"Yes," Emiliana replied, "but not for years." Indeed it had been years. Her parents owned a horse, but his only use was for farmwork. She had travelled to Aimat on foot when she left. She slowly walked closer to the horse, but wasn't too sure of herself.

Risit rolled his eyes and grabbed Emiliana from behind, lifting her up slightly. "Come on. Get on." He said, slightly impatient. Aw. How sweet. You're-Shut it or I'll find a way to give you the worst headache ever.

    ~~

Dura paced back and forth within the throne room, once in awhile he would stop to look at the window to check the Sun's position in the sky. He lowered his head and muttered something to himself before lifting his head. A messenger ran up to him, seemingly out of breat, and bowed.

"Sire...received word...from our shaman...that the news...of..." The messenger's constant panting began to annoy Dura. "...The games...has been spread..."

Dura waved a hand to dismiss the messenger. At least my men are not so incompetent.

Risit glanced over his shoulder, looking back at the city when he heard a faint bell ringing. Sounds like there's news directly from Cala. Spirit, you're ears are better than mine, tell me what is it. A brief moment passed before he got his answer. First off, we share the same ears...I can just use this body better than you can. Secondly, someone in town is shouting about the games being hosted tomorrow. That was bad news for Risit, it meant that he had to get to Cala before sunset. "We better hurry." He said towards Emiliana as he forced her onto the horse.

Emiliana steadied herself after being forced onto the horse's back. She glared at Risit for being so abrupt. "What's the rush?" she asked, starting to get annoyed.

"I've just got a bad feeling about something." Risit got on the horse and faked a smile. "You just don't like being picked up, do you?" He reached around Emiliana to grab the reigns of his horse.

Emiliana didn't answer. She wasn't so sure this was a good idea anymore. This man was odd from the start, and now he seemed to be dangerous. He didn't come across as being especially evil, but there was definitely something not right about him. But she knew there was no turning back now. Plus, she hadn't traveled outside of Aimat for over a year. It was time for an adventure.

Risit tugged on the reigns, causing the horse to move forward suddenly before picking up pace into a full speed gallop. "Are you alright?" He asked when Emiliana gave no answer. She's uncomfortable. Want to kill her right now? No! Just trying to help. It's not my fault that you're being soft because of a slight resembla-Don't mention her. Ever. Risit sighed quietly, wondering if he should bother easing the tension...even though he would soon betray Emiliana.

"I'm fine," Emiliana said, though she knew she didn't sound very fine. She shook her head, and tried to sound more cheerful. "Are there others like me there? I mean, wherever we're going?" she asked Risit.

"Of course." Well it was true, the only thing is...the others would want to kill Emiliana. "So...why did you join the Shau?" Risit asked, he knew that only one of them would use their powers so openly and expect to get paid from it.

"I had heard rumours about them," Emiliana answered. "I heard that they used their magic somewhat freely. I loved, and still love, my magic and didn't want to keep it a secret. I didn't want it to go to waste." She left out the part about her cousin being one of them. She had no idea where he was, or even if he was still alive. Even though she had been relatively open with this man that called himself Alaric, something told her not to trust completely. Not yet.
