MCR, FOB and Eva sucks too. Linkin Park is overrated stuff. Their old stuff was way better.

Am i the only member who enjoys heavy metal and rap?

    Yes. Yes you are.

Ice T called out Soulja Boy's lyrics, Soulja Boy called out Ice T's age. Seriously, who hasn't said **** about SB's lyrics? I can rap better than him.

I've tried listening to Lil Wayne, but the way he raps, his voice is just... Ew. And from the songs I've listened to, his music is so boring. Ther'es like one or two beats going on. How exciting. ._.

did SB really ruin rap?..its amazing how when it first came out it was no. 1 on BET's countdown for weeks at a time, and months later everyone's hatin' on him.

Which of his songs did you listen to?
    Thanks xD

And as for SB, Crank Dat was just some dance fad with a **** load of internet hype. The rest of his songs were really retarted.

Can you link me one of the worst songs?

and even if his songs are terrible, did Ice T really have to tell a 17 year old to suck a d*ck?

I never knew one of the members of Linkin Park had an afro.
Then again, I don't listen to them much anyway.

    I hate Soulja Boy. :(

Comfortable, Shoot Me Down, Dr. Carter, Mr. Carter, Playing With Fire. You might like those if you didn't already listen to them.

And some not on his new album: Me and My Drank, Prostitute Flange Pt.2, Something You Forgot, and the106 & Park Freestyle was pretty good though it has no beat at all.

@Rising Storm: Stupid yet somewhat amusing http://youtube.com/watch?v=Dq9uUxj8Jww&feature=related

Yeah, I kind of agree with Trigger -- I don't really enjoy rap because, aside from writing the lyrics, which can often leave something to be desired, it doesn't really seem to require talent. It's just one beat played over and over again with some guy reading his poetry over it.

And since everyone else is. :P

I like blink-182, Rise Against, Paramore, (+44), Angels & Airwaves, Los Campesinos!, Bright Eyes, 1997... and other stuff that doesn't come to mind.

Like Linkin' Park?..Every song plays the same beat over and over, its just at different times..

All a BASIC song needs is a good and catchy chorus.

I just don't like the way they sing. I can't really understand what they say. Soulja Boy is annoying because he isn't that great at all, plus that song just annoys me.

Lil' Wayne isn't known for his beat and his outer music. You can ask 50 cent or Soulja boy for that. Reading his lyrics, the new ones off his album are very deep. But yes, he does lack some good beats.

I'd recommend you 6 Minutes by Cassidy (More of an MC instead of those rappers who just speak about drugs and sex =\) Lil' Wayne (Most of his verse makes me lolol) and Fabolous (His metaphorz and similies are very strong).

Read the lyrics if you must, as much as it uses profanity...it shows a point. But not that song though. That's just a freestyle, top of their head rip.

Some people enjoy a poem over an over-repeating beat. And beat changes can ruin flow of the rapper. And flow is important in it, since it is derived from blues and jazz. It shows a lot of importance and holds timing.
