~Justice For All~

OOC: I've got nothing to do, so I can read it for you! =D I'm bored out of my mind (just watching an FMA panel from '08).

BIC: "Tch," Terra grit her teeth. What had just happened? Kid Devil had almost killed her, that's what. But why? She tried to think of some reason for it. Mind control with the collars, perhaps? She couldn't tell for sure. She stared at Kid Devil, sweat trailing down her face. "I'm never getting on your bad side."

"I've never been," Elena answered. "I've just read about it in the paper and seen it on maps." She hoped that that little detail would be satisfactory for Green Lantern.

 

Sundra dashed after Greenscale as soon as he let go of them, really hoping that they hadn't been spotted yet on any hidden cameras. She jumped into the elevator shaft, only to catch herself and hover in the air as she looked around to find Greenscale. When she heard him ask the question of which way to go, she looked up... Then she looked down. She felt her stomach grow queasy as she stared into the dark abyss she was hovering right over. "How far does it go...?" Sundra asked to no one in particular. Then she looked at her teammate and said, "Down probably. What do you say?" Realizing they were missing a commrade, Sundra turned around to see that Sonic Boy hadn't followed them yet. 'Come on, get in here,' she thought, hoping that nothing bad happened to him already.

 

"I don't need a business partner, kid," the voice replied with a snicker. "Now stop trying to save your skin and tell me who you are." The voice came clear through the intercom. It was easy to hear someone yelling in the background, but that voice was indistinct. "I know you're not with the wannabe heroes. So unless you want to end up like they will," the voice paused, simply for dramatic effect before continuing in a lower tone, "You'll sing like a canary."

The window in the room Terra was in suddenly lit up, revealing a figure. The figure was Robin, strapped to a vertical table and squirming. He was missing his gloves. He was yelling, but it was inaudible through the glass.

"Well, then follow me!" The black suited Green Lantern said as he flew a quick circle around the girl before flying into the distance. "Follow the green!"

 

Terra's eyes flicked to the source of light above her. "Robin!" She was relieved to see he was alive, but he looked in a situation as bad or worse than hers. Looking around the room frantically, she tried to find some way to get up to where Robin was. If only she could hear what he was saying! He could be trying to talk to her for all she knew.

Elena cracked a smile; Green Lantern's humorous disposition was a breath of fresh air from what she'd encountered recently. She followed Green Lantern's trail, catching up quickly. She liked how Green Lantern hadn't prodded her for a name, or even brought up any possible news stories. Maybe he didn't recognize her; that wasn't such a bad thing. The last thing she wanted was to have to explain herself -- especially to a member of the Justice League.

 

Sonic Boy awoke from his short nap. There he stood, in front of the elevator shaft that was apparently broken. As he quickly looked around, he noticed that he was in a 4-way intersection of walkways with surveillence cameras as well. He was a sitting duck to getting caught if he stayed an longer. He looked around for his comrads, who he couldn't find. 'They could be invisible,' Sonic Boy thought. He was tempted to call out their names but soon realized that it would've gotten him caught. He really hoped that the cameras didn't catch him. He didn't think he'd been asleep for long, so he relaxed a little. He saw that the elevator door was opened. "That's weird," he said. He quickly walked over to it. He peered down the shaft and gulped. He couldn't see anything. He looked closer but lost his balance and fell. Sonic Boy closed his eyes so he wouldn't see his death coming (even though his back was to the ground). What he didn't know was that Greenscale and Sundra were in the elevator shaft as well. He was also going to scream but stopped himself because he didn't want to give away his friends (even though he didn't know where they were).

 

OOC: Sonic Boy was napping? xD talk about bad mission procedure xD
BIC:
"Heh, Red X, huh?" The voice repeated. "There's not enough room for all this red in this picture." Two clicks followed the voice. The first was the press of a button. The second was a finger pressing a switch, turning off the intercom. After turning off the intercom, the voice's full figure stepped away from the console where the microphone was hooked up. Behind him, the boy wonder was yelling through the glass, unsuccessfully trying to get ahold of his teammates. "Quiet down, pigeon. You mini-heroes will be together soon enough," the voice said as it turned around. "That dark mentor of yours never teach you to respect people when they're on the phone?" The figure joked as it walked towards Robin. Loud Cack, cack, cacks echoed through the room as his shoes hit the metal floor as he approached Robin. He stood next to Robin and looked out the window, finally revealing himself to Terra and Kid Devil, although Kid Devil was unconscious. The figure wore regular blue jeans and a dark motorcycle jacket. Leather gloves were visible on his hands. But his most distinguishing feature was his mask: it was red metallic helmet, protecting his entire head. The helmet had no details whatsoever, except for the white eyes that most masks these days gave their wearers. The figure laid his white eyes upon Terra through the glass and a hand reached into his jacket.

Next to the figure, Robin was still struggling to break free of his bonds. Though he stopped yelling, he responded to the figure's question, "Yeah, but when someone knocks me out and straps me to a table, I don't think I should be that polite." A faint smirk was seen on Robin's face, but fatigue and worry were even more visible. However, the Boy Wonder's charismatic personality didn't falter. "You know what I mean, Red Head?"

Click. The figure quickly pulled out a pistol from his jacket and casually swung around to place the barrel on Robin's forehead, pulling back the hammer. "For the last time, circus boy, the name's Red Hood." Beneath the mask, a smile formed when the hammer's click caused Robin to quiet down.

"Then," Green Lantern started to say as he flew in front of the girl, "I should probably lead the way, huh?" With a flash of green light, he sped through the air. "Try to keep up!" He laughed to the heroine behind him.

Greenscale was starting to get impatient when Sundra flew in. Moments after her, Sonic Boy jumped in. Greenscale wasn't sure if Sonic Boy didn't look before he jumped, if he expected someone to catch him, or if he just took a leap of faith, but the teammate was now falling down the shaft. "Hey!" Greenscale jumped down, flying after his comrade. "Got-cha!" He said as he caught Super Sonic Boy in his strong arm. Quickly spinning around, he looked up and shot his tongue at Sundra, intending to drag her down as they all fell after the elevator.

 

Terra clenched her jaw, hanging her head to hide her expression. As angry and scared as she was, she was still trying to think of a way to get to Robin. Her heart was pounding in her chest; she'd never been in a situation like this before. She only had one option at this point -- try to find some earth to use. The risk of being shocked was still present, but she didn't care much at this point.
Terra moved so she lay on her stomach and touched her hands to the ground. She searched for any kind of rock she could use to throw at the glass. But then a thought occured to her: Could she throw the rock faster than this Red Hood could pull the trigger?

Elena pushed the air behind her, trying to keep up with Green Lantern. This was the fastest she'd ever gone, and she was starting to get a little nervous. She shook her head, focusing her thoughts back on controling the air around her. Other tricks with air were getting easier for her but flying was still a difficulty. "Stay in control; don't fall," She murmured to herself, concentrating on following Green Lantern.

 

Robin might have actually been worried for a moment, but he realized something. "Come on, Red Head, you and I both know you won't pull that trigger. You need us!" And it was true, Robin knew it and he was sure the Red Hood knew it. After all, Young Justice has been captive for at least three days and they haven't even been unmasked, let alone endangered. Sure, they were all tortured, but no information was asked about them. There was an ulterior motive here and the sidekick of the world's greatest detective could figure that out easily...he just couldn't figure out what that motive was. "If you were going to pull that trigger, you would have done it already. Why don't we stop playing around and you let us go? Huh? What do you say, pal?"

Unknown to Robin, Red Hood was smiling beneath his mask. "You got guts, kid. I respect that. But don't get me wrong," he paused in order to turn around and placed the barrel right on the glass separating them from Terra. He aimed the gun at the geokinetic heroine, despite the glass being in the way. "I won't think twice about putting some lead between them baby whites of yours. The time ain't here yet, so get over yourself." And after saying that, he pulled the trigger. The bullet shot out from the gun, traveled an inch, hit the glass and shattered completely. The glass didn't even get a scratch on it. It was simply a show for Terra and Robin, and he knew both of them would get the message. That glass was hard. "Now...I think it's time for some fun. Let's see how if your friends want to play, pidgeon."

It only took a few minutes for Green Lantern to lead the girl to the Hall of Justice. He landed on the edge of the man-built pond. A full second didn't pass before he was bombarded with flashes of cameras and questions.
"I have no time for question, guys, sorry!" He shrugged as he waved. Unlike the other heroes, Kyle didn't mind the attention, but it wasn't professional of him to act like he liked it. Batman and Superman both have scolded him about it more than once. Even the other Green Lantern had lectured him about it and he had been in the Corp longer than him! "Right this way, Ms..." Lantern motioned for the girl to follow him before realizing something, "I haven't caught your name. I can't refer to you as Air Girl." He chuckled at his own joke, despite its lameness.

"Hello, X," A voice rang in Red X's room. It was a low, but serious voice. "I apologize for the wait, but it took some time for my...accomplice to transfer the call." The voice paused for dramatic effect before continuing, "You seem to have gotten yourself in a bit of trouble, my apprentice."

OOC: Holy crap; when I figured out who you wrote in orange and black my heart skipped a beat! D= Scary!! He gives me the creeps.

BIC: Terra flinched at the gunshot. She sat up again quickly, looking back to Robin. What was going on? She wished she could hear through the glass. She bit her lip, if a bullet fired that close didn't shatter the glass, could a rock from her do it? She still couldn't take the risk with Robin there.

Elena touched down next to Green Lantern, lowering her head to avoid the cameras. She didn't want to risk anyone recognizing her if someone got a good picture of her. Her less than heroic past wasn't something she wanted to see on the front page of the Washington Post or New York Times. She rolled her eyes at "Air Girl;" she'd heard that one before. "Call me whatever you'd like," Elena replied. "I don't really have a name."

To display his annoyance further he stopped completely and turned into a greenish elephant. His trumpet rose gallantly, and soon the music of the elephant began to blare out of the once humanoid looking boy. After about five minutes of the ear drum breaking racket he grinned wicked, now that he was back to being a humanoid and could grin.

"That should teach you, popsicle punk."

His face was smug but he was considering the question that was asked of him. I assume so... it could hold me. So I guess more super heroes could be locked away in here too. But how will you find them?

Icicle smirked at Beast Boy's transformation. A month ago, that might have annoyed him...but now, with what Icicle was a part of, he just found it comical. "Back to what I was saying, Dumbo," Icicle joked as he waved a hand and pointed to the wall to his left, "This room isn't to hold you, mutt, it's to hold them."...."I said it's to hold THEM!"....."Hey! Ginger man, that was the que! You're killing the drama in here!"

Beep. "Calm down, snowman. I'm busy. Here's your little pet," Red Hood's voice rang throughout the room. Two more beeps later, the wall adjacent to the wall where Icicle came in and to the wall where Beast Boy was imprisoned started splitting open; it was a hidden door. A low growling could be heard in the darkness. A light lit up the other side of the wall and revealed a large, white creature. It was roughly the size of an elephant and had the tusks to match. With an ape-like posture, it walked into the room.



"This is a Genomorph," Icicle told Beast Boy as he turned around, "A Troll to be more exact...and he's your new plaything." Icicle started to walk away as the Genomorph Troll approached Beast Boy, murderous intent in its eyes. "Have fun~" And with that, the door closed behind him, leaving Beast Boy alone with the Genomoprh.

"You forget yourself," Deathstroke replied, "You abandoned me. Now can you think of a reason why I shouldn't do the same to you? And leave you to your fate, to suffer like the one you were made to defeat?" The cryptic message was followed with a pause before the Terminator's voice continued, "None the less, I've invested too much in you as an apprentice. You should be free soon enough, but not by my efforts."

Green Lantern noticed the heroine's attempt to not have her picture taken. Despite loving the attention, he knew how the other heroes weren't fond of it. "Sorry, guys, let's be respectable," he told the photographers before raising his hand. A green light shot from his ring and split in half to form two large green walls, cutting off the media from 'Air Girl' and Lantern. The light of the Green Lantern was thick enough to block any view of the two, unlike most of his constructs. "Sorry about that, you get used to it after awhile," he told the girl. "I guess Air Girl it is! For now, anyway," he settled on the name with a smile. He found it strange the girl didn't have a name; maybe she was new to heroics? "Anyway, ladies first, right?" He motioned with his unringed hand for the girl to pass him and enter the hall, while the angry yells of reporters and tourists rang around his green constructs.

Red Hood turned his head to look at Robin, who was eyeing him intently. "You'll have to pardon the abominable snowman down there. For such a cold person, he's rather hot-head, right?" Beneath his metal helmet, a chuckle was heard. "I'll go back to you in a moment, since you seem to have some questions," he told the boy wonder before pressing another button. This time, the intercom in the room below him, where Terra was laying with an unconscious Kid Devil, turned on. "Hey, blondie," he repeated Icicle's name for her, "How you feeling? You bored? No video games down there? I'm sorry. I'll send you a playmate then," he pressed another button before turning off the intercom, giving her no time for a response. A door separate from where Terra had entered opened, revealing another Genomorph Trolls. Its eyes searched the room, found Terra, and then it moved towards her.

 

Terra swallowed the fear rising in her stomach. The beast was huge and headed straight for her and Kid Devil. She couldn't use her powers, couldn't run away, couldn't get Kid Devil out of the way, and definitely could not fight the monster. Her mind was scrambling for a way to get out of the position she'd been placed in. She could hold her ground and try to kick the beast's legs out from under it, but that wasn't looking like a good option at this point. She could roll out of the way, but she'd be leaving Kid Devil behind. She could try to move some earth, but she would be risking shock and possibly collapsing or caving in the building they were in.

Elena smiled the best she could as a thanks to Green Lantern. Kindness had become a rare thing in her travels. She walked ahead of Green Lantern, loving how the brilliantly white building stood in front of her. She'd read about it and seen pictures but being near it was something completely different. She was glad that she didn't have to worry about the photographers anymore. She didn't want her brother to see some obscure article about her being at the Hall of Justice. Other papers had written about her, that was true, but they'd not written anything of real consequence. And none of them had a very good picture -- mainly artist renderings and blurred shots of her fighting or flying out of town.

 

The young Tamaranean sped through the sky, going faster than light. Starfire had learned that her friends were in danger and was in a hurry to save them. Batman told her of the plane, where she could find him and Green Arrow. As she was flying, her conversation with Batman played back in her head. He told her of her friends being in danger, and the new team going to save them. He said she could help if she wanted, so she left as soon, or even before, those words came out of his mouth. "I hope I am not too late.." she said aloud to the air.

She soon reached the plane (yay for secret ways of getting into the plane), and saw Batman and Green Arrow. She flew over to them and said, "Please tell me, what am I do to to rescue my friends!?"

 

OOC: Sorry it's been moving slow, guys, but I got someone to do some...behind the scenes stuff with me >> so it should pick up pace

Red Hood watched through the glass as the Genomorph troll approached the blond. He knew she had no way of defending herself, but he also knew the troll wouldn't kill her. It was conditioned not to. In fact, all it had to was wear her out.
"Hey, Red Head!" Robin's voice called out, causing Red Hood to turn his face. White eyes surrounded by red met with white eyes surrounded by black. "What's your deal? You've had us for three days," Robin asked. It had been bothering him the entire time, but he avoided asking it, instead waiting to see if the answer would show itself. "We're all still alive. Cadmus didn't take Superboy back, and..." Robin's eyes narrowed as he reached most important point, "My mask's still on."
"Tsk, tsk," Red Hood shook his head. "It's not always about you, Pigeon. I thought you were supposed to be 'the best Robin'," the disgust in his voice at the end of his statement was very clear. "But you aren't that smart, are you? First of all, who said I'm with Cadmus? I just happen to be in an area miles below their building. What makes you think they even know I'm here?" Red Hood knew it didn't sound plausible, but he kept his story straight. "As for your mask...Let's just say I can respect the integrity of a mask. I'm not interested in your secret identities," His voice seemed slightly bored as he stopped talking and turned to watch Terra.

Green Lantern turned around and let the girl walk in first as his green constructs disappeared into thin air. "Right through here, Air Girl," he smiled as he pointed to a large library. The upper half of the room was mostly glass, showing more tourists and reporters (OOC: It's the same room in the first Young Justice episode where Speedy has his fit >>). A large computer took up the majority of one wall. "Oh, let me take care of that for you," Green Lantern said, noticing something. He walked over to the computer and pressed a button. The windows started to darken before turning pitch black, blocking all view in and out. He could make out the angry yells of reporters. "Let's hope they don't think of this as a scandal," He joked as he turned around to look at the girl. "So first off...Why do you need Batman again?" Lantern had no problem offering the girl a chance to meet the Dark Knight, after all she did just capture a criminal. However, Batman wouldn't meed just anybody.

"You did what?" Green Arrow looked at Batman as he was just told the news. "Starfire? The Teen Titan? You asked her for help on my team's mission?" Green Arrow was astounded. Batman could lead not only the League, but also his own private team of young heroes without anyone else interfering, but when Green Arrow makes his own team to help, Batman just jumps in? Ignoring the fact that Batman had told him Starfire contacted him, not the other way around, looking for Robin, Green Arrow started to verbally attack the detective. "What gives you the right-"
"My partner!" Batman took a step forward and interrupted with his deep, intimidating voice. "There is very little stopping me from going in there and getting Robin myself. I am not risking losing another sidekick!" Batman's voice lowered as Green Arrow looked on in shock.
Green Arrow stood there with his mouth open. He had heard stories of the previous Robin being murdered by the Joker, but that was it: stories. He never bothered to look any deeper than that out of respect and he knew damn well not to ask Batman about it. "Bruce, I'm sor-" Before he could finish saying anything else, Starfire flew in. Whoops, should've probably closed that door. The hooded avenger looked at the Tamaranean princess. "Uh-I," Arrow looked to Batman to see the Dark Knight still staring at him. "Your friends, uh, the Tit-I mean, Young Justice, they're in a building south of here. I have a team of new heroes attempting to rescue them. Feel free to help." Green Arrow was lost for a plan. Starfire didn't have any mission briefing. Then again, she was a warrior from a warring planet, if he remembered correctly. Surely she would know how to carry out a mission. "Go find the building, find my Cadets, and rescue Robin and the others. Don't waste time," With that, Green Arrow pointed to the door.

Deathstroke sat in his chair, his figure obscured by a shadow. Next to him, on the table, was the phone had just hung up and an orange and black mask. "That boy is starting to lose his value," he told himself, referring to Red X. "However..." He held his face up with a hand, his chin resting on a finger. He picked up the phone again and pressed a single button. He held the phone to his hear and waited for an answer. Normally, a secretary would answer the other side, but this was a private line. "Hello, Luthor. It's me, your new partner. I have an update."

Icicle entered another room. He was honestly getting tired of walking from hero to hero. Every one of them gave him the same angry response. Hopefully, this one would be different; after all, he wasn't a hero. The room was a large square room with a single door and only a table for furniture. On the table, a utility belt, gray gloves, black boots, and a black shirt with a large red 'X' and a tattered cape laid in a pile. Hanging above the table, suspended by a chain, was Red X. "Well, well, well, well, WELL!" Icicle said as he clapped his hand with each word. "You found yourself in a predicament, didn't you, thief!?" He inquired of the vigilante. "Tell me...what's your game?"

 

Lex stood, staring out across the skyline of Metropolis in his office at Luthor Corp when the phone rang, It was very clear who could reach him without notification from his secretary first, he answered smirking "Why Slade, how good of you to call, what have you got for me? " the sun in the background cast light around him shrouding him in shadows.

Superman touched down at the Hall of Justice and ignored the ruckus going on around him outside, as he made his way through he ran into the Green Lantern whom he greeted warmly "Well, Lantern how's it going? As excitable as ever out there I see. How're things going in here? Anything to report? he motioned for the green lantern to follow him on a leisurely fly through the hall.
