~Justice For All~

Terra pushed Kid Devil as far away as she could using her feet without hurting him. It was challenging but not impossible. She then struggled to get to her feet and keep her balance. She was up against a proverbial wall -- she had no way to defend herself or Kid Devil; the best she could do was keep the beast's attention on herself. "Hey ugly!" She jumped up and down -- a stunt that must have looked ridiculous -- to retain the monster's gaze.

"Thank you," Elena was glad that the pressure of cameras was gone. Now that she didn't have to worry about the photographers, she was able to appreciate the rather large room she was in. It felt professional and fantastical at the same time. Then Green Lantern's question brought back her focus. She bit her lip; she had no idea how to explain herself without saying too much. She didn't want to talk about her brother. "It's a favor for someone important to me."

 

Starfire listened intently to every word Arrow spoke. He pointed to the door and she flew out without a word. The princess flew south, thanks to her speed she reached the building in just mere seconds. She looked over the building for the place where the Cadets had gotten in. Finally she came to a window with a small hole in it. She stuck her hand inside, unlocked the window, got in, closed it and re-locked it. She looked down the hall, seeing no one. Using her faster-than-light flight she got down the hall without being spotted. She came to a hole in the wall, she peaked inside, after hearing voices, and decided to fly down. After some time she came upon Greenscale, Sonic Boy, and Sundra and asked the trio, "Would you three happen to be the Justice Cadets?" Not taking into thought that the others were falling or making their way back to the shaft.

 

Sundra didn't have time to react when she suddenly felt herself being jerked backwards and now she was free falling again. She saw the tongue, and then groaned inwardly. "Seriously?! The tongue again?!" Sundra would really have to wash her suit out when she got back off from this mission. How come Sonic Boy got the luxury of being held while Sundra was stuck with getting slimmed. 'It's fine,' she tried to reassure herself. 'It's fine. Gross... but it's okay.'

OOC: Sorry for the delay and the short post. I'll try to post every week now. Just a lot of... stuff is happening in my life. >> *Facedesks*

 

Deathstroke carried the phone with him into another room, one with a mirror. He wasn't used to people calling him "Slade" anymore. The last one who called him that was Robin, but the days that of his conflict with the Teen Titans were long gone. He would have normally killed anyone who called him by anything other than his title. After all, he was the Terminator. However, he knew that their plans were completely dependent on him being Slade Wilson, general of the US Army, instead of Deathstroke the Terminator, assassin for hire. "Red Hood says that the young heroes are almost at the end of the line and, just like you planned, another set of young heroes are on their way to save them," he said as he walked towards the mirror and laid a single eye upon his reflection. "We don't know who these other heroes are, but that's irrelevant. All that matters is," a single blue eye stared back, "Everything's going according to plan. I give it...twenty minutes before everything's set in motion."

Green Lantern jumped into the air and looked at Elena, "Follow us, Air Girl! Don't get too starstruck," he joked as he followed Superman. "Actually, Superman, this girl stopped a burglary earlier. I asked if there's anything I could to repay her and," he chuckled before saying, "She wants to meet Batman!" He laughed a bit, "I told her she could wait here for him since he and Arrow are...well, you know."

"Ughh," Kid Devil groaned as he started to regain consciousness. "My head feels like I got hit by a truck...if Superman threw it," he said as he tried top open his eyes. He struggled to get up, but managed to get on one knee before Terra's voice caught his attention. Just then, he caught sight of her being approached by the Genotroll. This thing again? He mentally asked as he struggled to stand up. "Move out of the-!" He started to yell before falling to his knee again.

Greenscale held Sonic Boy with his left arm, Sundra with his tongue, and all three of them with his right hand, which was placed against the wall. Starfire's appearance almost caused him to jump, but Green Arrow had just told him via comlink she was coming. He nodded at Starfire since his tongue was...preoccupied with Sundra in order to talk. "Glan you brly?" He asked Sundra in a garble, asking if she could fly so he could get his tongue back.

 

Terra's leg muscles cramped; after days of pushing against bonds as her only movement, supporting her weight was difficult. She balanced as best she could and looked over her shoulder at Kid Devil. "Stay out of the way," She told him. "I don't want you going all crazy again. No offense, but you really freaked me out." It wasn't the kindest thing to say, but Terra had never been very delicate with choosing her words.

It was a good thing Green Lantern said something because Elena's mouth nearly dropped open at the sight of Superman. Batman may have been Elijah's idol, but Superman was Elena's inspiration. She followed Green Lantern and Superman, struggling to keep herself balanced and up to speed with the heroes -- Superman was enough of a distraction to trip up her focus. She had no idea what to say to either of them so she just kept quiet for the moment.

 

Lex paced the room as he listened to Deathstroke's words "Very good, they'll all be finished in time, the League will lose their newest little pet project, You sure they aren't aware of the current situation? If they show up....." he paused tensing up a little at the thought of his plan being spoiled "No, no, no matter, Deathstroke you are doing wonderfully, keep it up friend, we will destroy any links the League has to weaken thier resolve, and all they will do is sit up in their ivory tower, with no way to stop me. So blissfully unaware." Lex went silent on the line thinking, In just 20 minutes........., Lex moved back to his desk and hung up the phone, he pressed a button on the intercom to reach his secretary, "Mary please hold all further calls for the rest of the day unless it's and emergency, I'm going home early.....I don't......feel well" before waiting for an answer he cut the line and packed up his things heading for the door.

Superman looked at the timid girl following behind them, Really now? That was you? Air Girl huh? Well good work and Welcome to the League, you'll be lucky if you get the chance to meet Batman today, he's uh preoccupied" Superman said looking at the Green Lantern for approval on that statement, "Now what exactly is your ability?" I assume you're meta, like me? the starstruck look on her face and the fact that Superman was asking so mant questions probably threw her off "You just tell me if i'm asking too much and i'll stop" Superman laughed.

 

Kid Devil was confused for a second. What could Terra mean? Before he could question it, however, the answer came to him. The demon in his soul must have taken control again. Damn it, Neron! He thought angrily, blaming the dark lord of Hell for his predicament. Ignoring Terra's suggestion, Kid Devil took a deep breath while still on one knee. Before the Genotroll could reach Terra, he yelled, "MOOOOOVVVEEEE!" at the same time that fire erupted from his mouth towards Terra and the troll.

Green Lantern let out a loud laugh. "Air Girl isn't her actual name, Boy Scout! That's just my pet name for her. She's a bit shy, it seems," The artist Lantern told the Kryptonian. "Oh...and Hawkman tells me that Batman requested his help. The rest of us need to stay on...alert," he added with a slight whisper.

Deathstroke dropped the phone on the floor, not caring what happened to it. He walked with stern steps back into the previous room and reach for the black and orange mask on the table. "Time to terminate the League, once and for all," he said as he walked out another door, the mask held firmly in his hand.

Icicle snapped and sent a wave of ice flying at Red X. "You think you're funny? The name's Icicle, you cheap knock off!" He yelled as the ice made contact with Red X's arms, freezing them and the chain they were hanging from. "I'm going to ask one more time," Icicle said, his voice calmer now, "And I won't be so nice if I have to ask again...what are you doing here?"

 

Terra jumped to the side, used her shoulder to cushion her collision with the floor, and rolled away. She sat up watched the flames produced by Kid Devil. The tiniest part of her was afraid of the amount of raw power the boy had; the rest of her was just amazed.

Elena took a deep breath, attempting to get over the fact that Superman -- Superman -- was actually talking to her. "I'm not here to be a part of your League." She kindly corrected her icon. It took her a moment to get out what she wanted to say, but if she wanted the questions to stop she had to make things clear. "I'm 'shy,' you're right about that, but for good reasons. I can't be a part of a team -- any team. It didn't work out so well the last time I tried, and I'm not willing to try again. I just want to get what my brother asked for and leave."
Before she knew it, she'd said too much. She'd mentioned her brother and inferred about her 'ex-boyfriend.' Frustrated with herself, she faltered in her flight and dropped in the air about a foot, but quickly recovered herself.
