Kingdom Hearts II Kairi's Bracelets

Just noticed today that, could the color of the bracelets represent Namine, Xion, and Aqua?

White=Namine

Black= Xion

Blue= Aqua

In a way all four are related. So.. thoughts?

 

Namine = White which is the color of her dress
Xion = Black which represents the color of her OXIII coat
Aqua = Blue which represents the color of her out fit

It's from the last scene of "Blank points" in bbs.

 

If I'm not mistaken that's from a secret ending in BBS? If that's the case then your theory would make sense, just a subtle reference. It seems almost too perfect to be sheer coincidence.

Then I'd have to say it's definitely a reference to Namine, Xion, and Aqua, nice find.

 

It's an interesting observation & theory, but I kind of doubt it was intentional. I don't think Nomura really puts that much thought into character designs, especially considering that Aqua and Xion weren't created until after her KHII outfit had been designed.

 

While this is true, couldn't they retroactively have something to do with it? For example, basing the primary colours of those characters on the bracelets to emphasise the connection?
Of course, it's unlikely that anyone would go to such depths, but regardless it's a possibility. I don't think we can just discount it so easy, subtle as it may be.

I would never notice something like that. Yes, it can represent them, and I don't doubt Nomura could think in something like that. I mean... It's Nomura we're talking about. It's an interesting theory. It might be true and it might not but true, though it's a possibility and even if Nomura didn't planed that, it is indeed a fact.

 

Interesting find, but pure coincidence. She had the bracelets in KH2 and at that point Nomura had only brought Xion as far as "Roxas probably left because of a girl" and Aqua was very unknown as well (though I believe that she was at least a bit more conceptually flushed out)

 

She did? Well then that's just a crazy coincidence, or we're looking too far into her bracelets. I could also make an argument that black was for Heartless, white for Nobodies, and blue was for the Ocean or something.

 

Or Unversed.


Then again, I don't even think they were conceptually developed yet.

If this is the Blank Points scene from the secret movie of BBS, then they could have thought of unversed....

 

I'm talking about her having the same bracelets in KHII.

They couldn't have already thought about the Unversed while creating KHII.

 

I don't recall those bracelets being on her in KH2. Since this was in BBS then it's safe to say that it is a possibility.

 

I checked for my post and they are present.

EDIT: It isn't part of her school girl attire, but getting kidnapped by Axel and forward she has them.
