I know the forum is pretty much facebook even in itself, but I was wondering if you guys were ever going to make a facebook "fan" account for furthering the KHV name?

I know the major controversy is "OMFG IF I LIKE IT PEOPLE WILL KNOW MY REAL NAME" etc etc. But not only will our real life friends and other people we are friends with see we like it, they may be interested and a chain effect of such would result most likely in a better outcome than a worse one.

Now, I would make it for you guys, but as you all know... *looks at username color* yeah.

I'm pretty sure one already exists, though I don't think it's been updated in a long time. It has a list of staff that is long out of date.

If we did create one, it would be staff run... for obvious reasons.

We never felt it necessary, though, not only because of the whole "real name" thing, but because Facebook is... a little pointless? Twitter is very news-oriented so we use it for that, tumblr has a nice mixture, whereas Facebook is more of a "social" site, which we don't really need. We want our socializing to go on via the forums.

I could really only see us using it for news, which I don't think it's a good system for, or a popular option.

That was one that some user made on their own, and is by no means official or even really associated with KH-Vids.

What about a Facebook like link system, if that makes sense?

To explain, many websites have Facebook like buttons on their pages, so when you like something, it appears on your Facebook page. For example, This Day in History (top right).

I'll be honest and say I hate things like that, I mean I suppose Facebook is about building a monument to your ego but there is little I dislike on my dash more than "so and so liked an article!!!"

Anyway, having share buttons listed under posts is entirely possible (though the like system will not integrate with Facebook's), but we removed them because felt they were cluttering the UI & nobody was really going to use them.
