Hullo y'all! You may have expected our resident Babyblue to post these, but like last year, we had to put her in timeout for messing up her diaper again. Anyway, Jayn, Llave, Stardust and I are here to bring you the winners of the 2013 KH-Vids User Awards! For this thread, all you artistic folk get ready, because the winners of Cycle 2, the Artistic Awards, are here! BEST PHOTOGRAPHER Last Year's Winner: Jade Last Year's Runner Up: DPWolf Armed with trusty camera and lenses galore, these photofanatics scour the world in search of the One True Shot, although their photos are always rendering out top notch. This year, you believe Marushi has got a perfect focus, but Llave's selfies dashing pics are nice on the eyes too. BEST TRADITIONAL ARTIST Last Year's Winner: Dinny Last Year's Runner Up: Rat (hoodrat daddy) Although digital drawing's been on the rise as of late, you will always see these folk with their pencils and pads at the ready. KHV thinks Dinny has got journals filled with beauties, but Llave's works are golden (like most of this text haw haw haw) too. MOST IMPROVED ARTIST (new!) Last Year's Winner: N/A Last Year's Runner Up: N/A Be it too early or too late to be alive and functioning, you'll always find these people buried in their work to push their craft as far as it can go. Dinny has made quite a large leap, though What?'s hops are nothing to scoff at either. BEST GRAPHIC ARTIST Last Year's Winner: Trigger Warning Last Year's Runner Up: Jayn You gawk at their avatars and signatures, and pray to the Photoshop Gods to bless you with something even remotely like the work they make. KHV believes Jayn has been blessed by our Adobe Lords, though Trigger Warning and What? make more than their fair share of sacrifices themselves. BEST OVERALL WRITER Last Year's Winner: Saxima, Sforzato, and Plums Last Year's Runner-up: N/A If you peek over their shoulder on the computer, these are the people that usually have a mountain of tabs open, ranging from "bullet hole sizes" to "ancient Icelandic ritualistic dancing". KHV believes What? has work that's a once in the lifetime read, though Plums also has some pretty nice stuff. BEST POET Last Year's Winner: Sumi Last Year's Runner-up: Plums When the pimp's in the crib, ma', these are the folk that hit tha' floor and drop it like it's hot. KHV thinks Styx has the illest beats this side of Destiny Islands, but Odamadillo's tearing it up through the underground too.MOST IMPROVED WRITER Last Year's Winner: Clawtooth and Guardian Soul Last Year's Runner-up: N/A These people evolve with each letter they type: that's how a story works. These words will leave a hole in the center of the universe: the drafts left behind and the revisions that will follow, both blend together to create a piece better than it's predecessors! And that is true improvement, that is a true writer! According to KH-Vids, masterofkeyblades has recreated his heavens far and wide, but darkhorseD is seeing his boundaries grow too. BEST FANFICTION Last Year's Winner: Disconnect (Guardian Soul & What?) Last Year's Runner-up: Infra (Misty) With heads spinning after seeing some fantastic film, reading an entralling book, or even just hearing rumors from/about friends, the youngins of the web choose to expand upon worlds created by others and put their own spin on things. This year, KHV believes Plums' Cascadia takes the cake right out of Valve! Guardian Soul's and What?'s Disconnect is quite a read too! BEST ORIGINAL STORY Last Year's Winner: Darunter (Jiku Neon) Last Year's Runner-up: Cargo (Clawtooth) Putting down the fanfiction, these people take their own ideas to the paper and just go disappear into world of their own making, one with rules and customs (and even jokes) they decide are Law, Order, and Absolute Hilarity. You believe Hyuge's A Lawless Land is one for the record books. BEST POEM Last Year's Winner: N/A Last Year's Runner-up: N/A A work so sublime,it even gets away with rhyme. Here are your winners:Odamadillo's "Be Strong" is a snapplause of a piece, but Myst's "A Life is Has Been" rocks the stage too. BEST ROLEPLAY Last Year's Winner: Crossover Cove Last Year's Runner-up: The STRANGE, Welcome to the Velvet Room These are the roleplays that tend to get you hooked that you never leave the RP Section. Ever. In fact, some of you may never see me write this! In any case, KHV feels Kingdom Hearts SOS is where the party's at, but 100 Days is pretty bangin' too. BEST ROLEPLAYER Last Year's Winner: Jayn Last Year's Runner-up: DarkTraitor One minute they're Roxas, the next minute they're Optimus Prime leading a valiant charge against Megatron. KHV believes Jayn and Dinny are masters of character disaster, but Hyuge and What? have a few tricks up their sleeves too. MOST IMPROVED ROLEPLAYER Last Year's Winner: Midnight Star Last Year's Runner-up: Hero of Time This hand of theirs glows with an awesome power! It's burning grip tells them to defeat their limits! TAKE THIS: their love, their dedication, and all of their effort! KHV believes masterofkeyblades has acquired a golden touch, but that hand of Hyuge's is always burning red. MOST MISSED ROLEPLAYER Last Year's Winner: N/A Last Year's Runner-up: N/A Concepts, sign-ups, launch, roleplay. Long ago, all members signed up would participate for the whole RP run. But everything changed when some members left. Only they, the Departers, could muster up the full spark the roleplay once had, but alas, they vanished. KHV believes Dokuro (Monochrome) was Number Wan, but Droid isn't far behind in the cycle. BIGGEST GODMODDER Last Year's Winner: Bushy Brow Last Year's Runner-up: starseeker3 "Move, Parvati! God out Yahweh, God out Yahweh, God out Yahweh. Move, Susanoo! Allah Yahweh, Allah Yahweh, Allah Yahweh." This is the song Thy Holy Godmodder sings when the gods stealin' they swag. KHV believes Bushy Brow is a force from far Beyond, but Mindstorm's reality warping is no laughing matter either.BEST ROLEPLAY CONCEPT/STORY Last Year's Winner: Crossover Cove Last Year's Runner-up: Ascension These roleplays have a spark as far as they eye can see. It's said if you bring a Keyblade to them, you'll see hearts within as far as the eye can see. In the end, 100 Days captured the most hearts for Jynax's Roleplay Hearts, but Cupid's Brew itself is also quite lovely. BEST ROLEPLAY GRPAHICS Last Year's Winner: Garden of Rose: The 9th Eve Last Year's Runner-up: The Hunger Games These roleplays are puckered up and ready to hit the town tonight! Just don't try to do anything without thier sourcing -- only yes means yes, anything else is a no and a probable punctured artery. KHV believes Cupid's Brew is a real eye catcher, but 100 Days is quite a radiant garden too. BEST MUSICIAN Last Year's Winner: N/A Last Year's Runner-up: N/A These are the people whose songs line up your iPoops, and who you see in the studio well past any point of sanity. KHV believes Jayn is a masetro to be reckoned with, but don't count out GhettoXemnas either.BEST SINGER Last Year's Winner: N/A Last Year's Runner-up: N/A Most people only sing in the shower, but with these guys, you'd want to be right outside of it while they do! KHV thinks Jayn carries a wonderful tune, but Amethyst provides quite the ballad herself. BEST VIDEO EDITOR Last Year's Winner: Stardust Last Year's Runner-up: Sacredlith You see them in the Video Portal and love their MEP parts! These members are truly video savvy, and know how to hook you within 2-3 minutes tops. KHV believes Cat~ has got the Vegas touch, but Jayn makes some cinematic stuff too. MOST IMPROVED VIDEO EDITOR Last Year's Winner: Cat Last Year's Runner-up: N/A If you saw the size of these people's Recycling Bins from how many video drafts they've gone through, you'd probably cry. ~Phoenix~ (cloud<3) has risen to the Editor's Challenge, but Jayn's taken her own leaps and bounds.
