Below is the category list thus far. Within this thread, you can suggest potential categories for this year's awards. Please keep in mind that category suggestions should be accessible by many members--use your better judgement.

  The staff and I have been talking about this for about a week, but we were debating whether we should change these up or not since they're not really inclusive of people outside the gender binary. We've talked about having a single Hottest Member category, however that does present some of its own issues, namely:
  
  
  • We wouldn't have as many winners as usual (@. : tale : . had a good idea of having two winners for this category, and two runner-ups, so that's offset!)
  • The polls have a maximum of 18 entries, and as a result there would likely be people who may not be able to get on the singular poll. (I've been doing research into this and I could probably expand the number of entries, though that poll would probably be hella packed, haha).
  
  I would like to gather some feedback on these two categories; as someone who is cis, it'd feel pretty scummy to decide on something without involving people whom it would effect, and from there we'll formulate a way to tackle it that will hopefully be a step in the right direction. :]

Category suggestions will be taken up until Wednesday, June 24th! After that, nominations will be open for submission and we'll be kicking this puppy sometime in early July!

 

Firstly I would hope you don't actually kick a puppy.

Secondly, I would like to suggest a category for the roleplaying awards:

Cutest Character Shipping in a roleplay

one more, actually: most memorable roleplay moment.

That is all.

 

The limit can be increased. I've actually increased it in previous years just to facilitate the awards. :x

I'm in favor of them being combined, though.

 

Of all people I'd never expect you to suggest a shipping related award. The other one is much more understandable.

 

It was the idea of @Aelin FireHeart , I just passed it on. The second one was my idea though!

 

Okay, that makes more sense. Still a bit surprising though.

 

Cutest Character Shipping in a Roleplay: I'm not really familiar with the RP Arena so I don't have any idea how big shipping is in roleplays, haha. ;_; I'll add it to the 'Maybe' section for now, but if it is something that's prevalent, then I don't see the harm in adding it in.

But for realsies, I think in the Hottest Member categories, having two winners would be good! We could just alternatively change the categories to Hottest Members.

Additionally, suggestions end tomorrow! So, send 'em in folks!!! Also, be sure to comment on the "Hottest Members" thing pls. I'd be willing to push category suggestions back into the weekend if people are itching with them, but otherwise tomorrow they're closing down shop.

 

How about Snarkiest Member? Or Most Snarky or something along those lines.

Personally, I think two winners for a Hottest Member category sounds like a great idea, and a lot more inclusive to the general public of KHV.
