When i was researching the 11th Ansem Report and i spotted something:
I have chosen one special girl. I do not know if she possesses a power like that of the Princesses. But, there is a chance, and this is an experiment. She may lead me to the place where the one holding the key is...

I shall send her off to the ocean of other worlds.
Xeahnort knew she was a princess and let her go.theres something suspisious about that.....

 

Never saw that, Ansem's wise and stuff so yeah he is cool..

I found KH1 rly hard compared to KH2

Yes, Xehanort had figured out that she was a Princess of Heart and so he sent her off to Destiny Islands. This is also how he more than likely found Riku, by following her journey and in KH when he is a child, Sora leaves the Secret Cave but Riku remains behind to see the door glowing there.

Probably because he was the first candidate for the keyblade.

 

Doesn't he find out what's in that door and Ansem tells him about darkness? I thought I heard someone say "You stayed behind"-yadda yadda yadda...-"And allowed darkness to posses your mind?

I also never knew that Ansem knew Kairi was a princess...I guess I'd rather finish the game than find out it's secrets.

 

If you mean does Riku find the door probably lead by Ansem (the Heartless) yeah, and he opened it. The Heartless knew to do this also because Xehanort before he gave himself to the Darkness let out a Shadow and followed it to the door and opened it. This reconnected the world of Radiant Gardens, opening it up and is why later King Mickey showed up, but also sadly opened it to Darkness as well. Riku was duped to opening the door so that he could 'go to other places' because all worlds were apparently sealed at one time. DiZ in the 'real' Ansem Reports makes a comment there that he was not sure how Xehanort opened the door but did not really go into it much. Presumably because he may have at one time been a Keyblade Wielder he was able to, just as Riku was able to on his world, even without a Keyblade.

Xehanort in the Ansem Reports he wrote was not 'sure' she was a Princess but obviously felt something was odd about her and that the Princesses of Heart were connected to the Keyblades and to the Hearts of worlds (or to Kingdom Hearts) and so this is why he sent her. He felt she was a Princess though he was not totally assured of it, so yeah, sent her off to 'other worlds' through interspace as they call it in Kingdom Hearts. She ended up on Destiny Islands and that's how he found Riku...and then in the cave met Sora as well.

 

Woah.... Thats pretty cool....

 

Riku was the one originally chosen by the keyblade, remember? Sora wasn't technically supposed to have it. He was like a substitute that eventually became the real thing.
