Kingdom Hearts: SfE Part 2 - The Final Keyhole and the Mark of Mastery

Eden sadly laughed. "Aye, I believe so. Too many memories. He'll need to sleep things off a while.
"Imminent collision with the World of Darkness." a robotic voice chirped.
"Ah, that's our cue..." she sighed, hauling food, potions from a storage unit next to the door, and the red walkie-talkie. "There... Gex, you ready?" She summoned her fiery red Keyblade, ready to fight.

 

"Oh good. that distraction was just what we needed we're coming in for the landing, guys."Riku saw that they had arrived at the Pridelands. "I hope I'm a giraffe. I get to be taller than allll of yooou."Valerie giggled. "I'd be an awesome hyena..."Roxas said. Kurix just stayed quiet. "Riku, you could be a leapord. You would look like one of those snow leapords and it'd be sooo coooool."Sora said. Riku just smiled. "Namine would be cute as a bird or something like that...."Kurix couldn't help but remark. The trio of boys gave Kurix a weird look while Valerie gave a small "aaaawwww......"

 

Gexln un-sheathed Darkness' Sorrow and held it in his left hand as he pulled up the hood on his cloak. "As i'll ever be" he responded.

 

"Collision in 3...2...1...Darkness hit." The Gummi chirped, allowing Eden to send the doors wide open and watching the gruesome figures of the dark slip by.
"Equius! Watch Ashir!" The Master yelled, jumping right out and gaining a new idea. Shifting the Keyblade to look like she was floating on it, and jetting out white hot flames, it acted like a hoverboard. Thank God I could occupy myself! Now to ease the fall and get moving!

 

Gexln took the more reckless, quick way. He simply leapt out of the Gummi Ship and hurtled towards the ground below.

 

Eden watched as Gexln hurtled towards the ground, deemed nervous by the stunt. Firing up her rocket fire, she edged down, but quickly went to the hypothisized "heart" of this infestation. The darkness eagerly stretched to consume it's falling meal. "Gex! Watch yourself!" she yelled, a bit worried.
The tendrils started its attempt to curl around the Nobody, whispering sweet words to allow him to allow his being to be given up to them.

 

Gexln swung Darkness' Sorrow viciously, cutting through the tendrils quickly as he said "the darkness doesn't control me". He continued crashing towards the ground, opening up a dark corridor on the ground to break his fall.

 

Eden hovered high above the tendrils of darkness. The whispers started to claw at her ears, familiar voices of her family and loved ones... people she remembered dying in front of her... "Gex! C'mon! Let's get going!" she cut through the dark tendrils easily with her fiery light.

 

Gexln was still hacking and slashing through the tendrils, gradually working his way forward. "I can make you stronger...all you must do is accept me...use me..feel the strength i give you" the darkness called to him. Gexln gritted his teeth. "Been there once. I rely on my own darkness" he said in response, cutting through the tendrils even faster than before.

 

Eden hovered closer to Gexln, holding out her hand. "C'mon Gex! We have to get to Xehanort before this darkness gets to us!" she yelled, burning a tendril that had the sound of a little hyper girl emanating from it. "I want our job to be done as soon as possible."

 

Gexln nodded. "Lead the way!" he yelled back as he kept cutting the tendrils.

 

With a heavy bound of flames, and a tight grip, The Master of the Key headed to the heart of the Darkness, where a figure laid in wait. The figure kept up a false form of a burly young man, silver hair and tanned skin that would make girls swoon. He seemed to be sleeping.
"Well! Here goes everything!" Eden shot forward quicker than ever, tossing Gexln into the heart, and herself into the chaos.
The boys eyes opened to reveal their piercing yellow orbs of human visual receptors... Raising an almost graceful hand, the false human put up a wall. But this was no ordinary wall, it was a wall of human outlines and their hearts. All the humans murdered by Eden's heartless and Gexln's attempts for power... All the humans they had lost due to the heartless invasion Xehanort was no doubt involved with. This put the master at a stop, hearing screams of agony, pain, and the blood-filled throats screaming out their last breaths of life.

Upon arriving at the Pride Lands the majority vote was to... 'beam down' as Valerie dubbed it onto the world. and while Sora said it was rara for it to happen, the group had been seperated from eachother. Valerie shook her head, immediately seeing that she had hooves. She was a Thomson's Gazelle, obvious by the black stripe on her side and white underbelly. "Sweeeeet! I am a graceful magestic grazer!"Valerie started bouncing around, alittle too happy.

Sora had brought Kisa, finding himself at the edge of Pride Rock. He found that he had matured, looking like an adolescent male with the very beginnings of a mane. Great! Now to see... He looked down, seeing the tiny little cub next to him. The little cub had a light grayish fur, seeming like a normal lion cub. However, the fur coat had dark spots, symbolising a leopards spots. Sora realized the little cub was Kisa, carefully picking her up by the scruff of her neck.

Kurix has discovered that he had become a zebra, trying to count his stripes. Am I... black with white strips? or white with black stripes...? Meanwhile Roxas has stayed by Kurix, becomming a Hyena with a golden colored coat and darked spots. "Great. Now we have to find the others."he sighed.

 

Gexln stopped mid-run, hearing the screams of pain and agony of all the people he had consumed teh hearts of, of all the people he had killed to get stronger, of all the victims to his undying bloodlust. He froze in place. Looking straight at them, he took a deep breath. "Just an illusion..couldn't be real.." he said. He started to walk towards the wall.

 

Namine was stood in a grassland. She was an impala, with a white underbelly and black markings on her face and the back of her hind legs. She heard a rustling in the grass behind her. "Who's there?" she asked, turning around.
"Relax, Namine, it's just me," Jeffrey told her. He was a cheetah, though the usual black spots and stripes, as well as the black "tear" markings under his eyes, were dark gold.

Kairi was a meerkat, with darker strips going down her back. She looked up at the brown lion. "Hey Sora, how are you so tall?"

 

Eden weakly hovered down to the ground formed by tendrils of darkness, frozen in fear. "I... I didn't... No, I didn't kill anyone! Sean... Andrew... they were killed by heartless!"
"You left me..." One mangled voice hissed, hovering next to the still Master. Holding her hands, which were turning into a shade of black as she was mesmerized by fear, it spoke again. "You left us all to die...."

 

Sora looked down and at Kairi, putting Kisa down. "Kairi...? Oh my gosh, you look..."he picked up Kairi by her tail, easily holding her in his paw. "cute...."he couldn't help but chuckle.

Valerie had stopped her bouncing when she heard a rustling in the bushed. She could see a blur of grey pass by. The creature crept out, growling. It was a leopard, the coat a shade of gray with darker spots to give it a snow leapord look. There were tufts of white on the leopards head and the predator glared at Valerie with icy blue eyes. "Uh-oh."Valerie bolted, the leapord chasing after her. The predator still pounced on her, baring his fangs. "NOOOOO. I'm to young to be eaten!"Valerie whined. The leopard paused, a bit confused. "Val...?" "Riku?!"Valerie huffed, shaking Riku off her.

"What the crap, man? were you trying to EAT ME?!" "I didn't know it was you..."Riku remarked, looking at a paw.

 

Eden screamed, trying to lash outvoted the tight grip. "I didn't kill you! I swear that I'm not a murderer!"
"But you left us... you left us all. You let us DIE!" The figure grew a gruffed voice, its illusion comrades started to take a grip on Gexln,piercing him with the memories of his somebody and their combined murders and responsible deaths. "You left us and came back too late."
With whatever darkness creeping up to consume the Master, it was already proving to be too late in any attempts to escape. But the Master to Earth would not stand down. Lighting herself on fire, it only minorly helped. "Gex! Run while you still can! Get to the Gummi and tell the others to STAY AWAY FROM HERE!" with her few screams of warning given, and an inferno of self defense, Eden fought herself enough freedom to give her keyblade's charm to Gexln, and pushing him out of there. Happy to see him escape, and her weaponless (her Keyblade didn't come as she tried to summon it.), she only could take it the talkie once more. "I give up my Title. Sora, you are Master of th----"
And the Wielder of Earth was cut into static, consumed by the dark illusions of her past.

 

Gexln's throat went dry. He had just witnessed something that was, in his mind, horrific. He looked at Darkness' Sorrow in his left hand. I...i was useless..couldn't do anything? he thought. He looked at Xehanort. Though he was sad, he began shaking with rage. More rage than he had ever felt before. Blind fury welled up inside of him. "XEHANORT!" he yelled out in fury as a violent burst of dark energy surrounded him.
