Etrius re-entered the mousehole and continued to swing upwards until he found another mouse hole leading to a high dresser. As soon as he came out, he saw a small white button. He jumped a gap and grabbed the button. One less item to worry about. As he stuffed th button into his cloak, he felt a sharp flash of negativity from below. He saw a strange twitchy blue creature wandering around the rug. As it dissapears, Etrius returns to the mouse hole, eager to return to the others.

Steel had felt the creatures for a while now. But of course he ignored them. He was ashamed that they were on the same plane of existence as him. "How can they eat that jello-C? It taste awful." But he was beginning to wonder what they were. They weren't Heartless, so what were they? "Could they be exclusive to this area?" he pondered. "No. They are to diverse in their existence. But they seem uncannily similar to certain other creatures..."

Etrius exited the mouse hole that led to Cinderella's room. He saw the others gathered around, holding the stuff for Cinderella's dress. He jogged up to the group, button in hand, and asked, "Heres the button. Does any of you know what those blue creatures are? They look kinda twitchy and odd."

"I have not yet labeled them." Steel said in response to Etrius. "They seem to derive from Negativity, but they're definitely not Heartless. "I have not seen any though, what exactly did it do?" Steel was hoping for more data. "It could be useful to know their behavior patterns beforehand." He thought.

Etrius thought back, then he spoke, "The creature was small and blue, about the size of a Shadow Heartless, and coincedently, acts somewhat like one. I actually have a bad feeling that there are more stronger ones. The most interesting fact however, is that they are not pure darkness, like Heartless, but actually pure negativity."

Stunned for seconds, the detective blinked, still grasping that he had been full on slapped. "Yes, well... quite," he replied, fixating his jaw. "No doubt some sort of adolescent trauma, I won't hold it against him," h claimed, attempting to brush it off. Re-adjusting his apparel, he pondered for a moment before replying. He paced towards his fireplace and placed his eyes on a fixated newspaper of Ratigan escaping. "Not a corner of London's safe while Ratigan's at large. There's no evil scheme he wouldn't concoct! No depravity he wouldn't commit. Who knows what dastardly scheme that villain may be plotting even as we speak..."

    Elsewhere in London's Sewers...

A slender, mouse was hard at work with his project. This such mouse was Olivia's father; Hiram Flaversham, who had been captured early on. He was currently being imprisoned in a human sized barrel, that was modified and turned into a jail cell. Working at a podium, he was sadly controlling a mechanical machine in doing simple tasks. Before his abduction, Hiram was well known for his unbeaten work in clockwork toys and had caught the interest of Ratigan for his mysterious plan.
As the toymaker was hard at work, Ratigan had come evil chuckling into the cell.
"Quite an ingenious scheme, eh, Flaversham? And aren't you proud to be a part of it" Ratigan was a large and well groomed rat with a very professional way of doing things. As Basil described him, his criminal genius had always led to his escape, and his most recent scheme was something he was sure would fool even Basil.
"This whole thing...i-i-it's monstrous!" Flaversham replied angrily.
"We will have our device ready by tomorrow evening, won't we? You know what will happen if you... fail?
"You can do what you want with me. I won't be a part of this... this... this evil any longer!"
Ratigan calmly lit his cigarette, and inhaled deeply. "Mmm... very well. if that is your decision. Oh, uh, by the way, I'm taking the liberty of having your daughter brought here."
    "O-Olivia?"
"Yes. Hm hm, yes. I would spend many a sleepless night if anything unfortunate were to befall her."
    "You... You wouldn't!"
Ratigan picked up a ballerina doll that Hiram had taken parts from to finish Ratigan's requested machine. The doll was now hallow, and Ratigan used his monstrous grip to squeeze it, until the head popped off. He gazed at the doll in mock sorrow and lunged it threateningly at the toymaker.
    "FINISH IT, FLAVERSHAM!!"
With a heavy heart, Flaversham reluctantly did as he was told. Outside, Ratigan had begun humming a happy tune to himself. He took out a piece of paper and handed it to the bat; Fidget, who was standing guard at the door.
"Oh, I love it when I'm nasty... Now, here's the list. You know what to do, and no mistakes" he handed the piece of paper to the disabled bat.
"No, no. No mistakes, sir," he replied with a twitch. He took a long look at the list and began to read it aloud; "Tools... gears... girl... uniforms.
    "NOW, Fidget" he ordered.
    " I'm going, I'm going! I'm going!"
As fidget hesitantly fled, Ratigan pulled out a newspaper that featured the Queen's picture on the front page.
"Tomorrow evening, our beloved monarch celebrates her Diamond Jubilee.And... with the enthusiastic help of our good friend, Mr. Flaversham, it promises to be a night she will never forget! Her last night... and my first as supreme ruler of all mousedom!"
He took his cigarette and burned the queen's face off the paper.

    Back at Basil's...

Basil was pacing at his fireplace for quite some time. "Hmm. Ratigan's up to something. A crime of the most sinister nature no doubt. The question is, what would he want with a toy maker?"
Unbeknown to anyone at the residence, Fidget had begun to make his way onto the scene. the little bat was exhausted from racing around the sewers and was quietly making his way near the house. He tried to stay exceptionally quiet, as Eon was outside, frustrated and pacing around.

Eon was still in rage. He was determined to find someone else other than Basil to help the girl known as Olivia. A large rat in the distance could be seen reading a newspaper. He looked fancy and intelligent even. He might be a good person to help him find her father. He walked up to the rat and began to speak. "Excuse me sir. Could you help me? A friend of mine, a girl by the name of Olivia, is trying to find her father. I tried to get some help from another mouse but all they seemed to care about was this Ratigan." He said that last part with a little bit of anger. Basil was an arrogant rat and the thoughts of him were sickening. "Could someone who looks so intelligent like your self assist me in finding him?"

Luna walked back to Cinderella's roomed lost in thought for a bit. I wonder, why would any body leave materials like this out in the open? It doesn't make any sense. And speaking of that, that guy I saw when I was leaving the Land of Departure, by Yen-Sid's magic, he had had that kind of aura that leaves me speechless. Luna shook her head as she came into the room. She pulled out the materials she had in her satchel and dropped her silver box in the process and had not seen the box fall to the ground. "I have the materials I found. What about you guys?" She asked the others.

The number of dogs left seemed to be the lowest so Yana thought it best to rid the area of them first. Running over to the nearest she jumped to strike its head, killing it quickly. Others were near by but the frontal approach seemed foolish, as all would attack her at once. Or so she assumed. So instead she decided to use fire once more, taking out half of the group before going in to take down the last half. After that only two more dogs remained, marking what she hoped to be the sign that meant this battle would soon be over.

"Actually, yes," Etrius said, turning to Luna, looking grim, "And I got a little bit of intel suggesting that we might not be just up against Heartless. While I was grabbing a white button, I sensed negativity coming from a creature, yet, this creature didn't feel like it was from darkness, but straight from negative emotion. Do you have any info regarding this, Luna?"

Luna fell silent as she started to head towards the window sill. "I don't to hear anything about those creatures or even talk about them so just let's drop the subject." She clenched her fists in anger as a scowl appeared on her face as she looked towards the kingdom and its castle.

"I got some." Kel said, just as Luna walked over to the window. It was clear that whatever Etrius had asked her had brought some discomfort to her. Though he didn't want to try and pry at her past, he'd already gotten the needed material and had nothing else to do, so he tuck it away and went over to the window sill and sat beside her.

"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable Luna." Etrius grimaced, "But its a fact we have to face. The Heartless took our homes, and any info regarding them might be useful to turn the tide." He turned to Kel. "And I appreciate the input. Whats the info?" Etrius asked.

It looked like the numbers were slowly, but surely declining, and that was a good thing, considering that the battle was tiring him out. Slashes here, spells there and more physical attacking, it was a whirlwind of carnage. The two women he was with had their impressive strengths but apparently they liked to fight alone, which he did not approve of. A team was a team, even in battle. Unaware that one of the dogs remaining was behind him. He looked around until he felt a searing pain on his back, making his vision go momentarily white. He turned and swung, thwacking the dog and sent it back, blood dribbling from his back where two slash marks were apparent. He dropped to one knee, putting his blade into the ground and reeling in pain.

From the corner of her eye Karina saw Kross get injured by one of the dogs. Instently she stopped fighting the group of heartless that she was fighting to kill off a bird that was flying his way. Kross was the last person Karina expected to have gotten injured. She took out on other bird then turned back to the heartless she was fighting. With her back turned to Kross she asked him. "You going to be okay?"

"Let's just focus on sewing Cinderella's dress, okay?!" Luna stood up and turned around. She looked at the ground and saw her father's box on the ground. Luna checked her satchel and the box was not there. Luna stepped back a bit and ran off the edge jumping towards the silver box. The box must've fallen out when i was grabbing the materials I gathered. She took a peek inside the box to see if anything was damaged. Luckily, the contents of the box were still safe and sound. Luna put the box back into her satchel and went towards the dress design.

Some time later after some deliberation and conversation, courtesy of timothy Mouse, the show was about to begin. Timothy was behind the curtain with Dumbo, who was very timid at the time. Dumbo was very shy and being the main focus in front of all these people didn't help. Krowley and Shapur gazed from the same curtain as the ringmaster took center stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen... we will now present for your entertainment... the most stupendous, magnificent... super-colossal spectacle. On this tiny... little, insignificant ball... we will construct for you... a pyramid, not of wood, not of stone - but a living, breathing pyramid of ponderous, pulsating... pulchritudinous pachyderms" The ringmaster spoke in a very thick Italian accent, and really drew in the crowd. He was under a single spotlight, and surrounding him, were the elephants who were gossiping about dumbo previously. "I give you the elephants!" The crowd cheered and music began to play. One by one, the enormous elephants began to mount on top of one another, carefully balancing themselves onto a 5 foot rubber ball. "They're almost ready now, Dumbo. Don't forget to wave that flag." Using his trunk, the little elephant waved it back and forth. "Okay, okay. Don't wave it no more. I saw ya! Now wait for your queue." This was the little elephant's chance to make something of himself, and as scared as he was, he let out a cute little smile.
" And now, I present the world's smallest little elephant... who will spring from this springboard- in one spring... to the top of this pyramid, waving his little flag... for a grand CLIMAX! Ladies and gentlemen... I give you Dumbo!" The small curtain opened to reveal the wide eyed Dumbo, frozen.
"What's the matter with you? Dumbo! That's your cue! You're on, Dumbo," Timothy urged. Unsure of what else to do, the small mouse took out a thin point and pricked the elephant into running out, unbeknown to him that a new act had entered the ring.

"Who are these shmucks? They ain't part of the program. Look like a bunch of horns without the clowns. Just ain't right I tells ya."
"They're not part of the program," Krowley mentioned in a panic. the little elephant was running out and heartless were surrounding the arena. The audience clapped, assuming it was part of the show. they tooted at Dumbo, scaring him and making him serpentine back and forth. "Hey, what's the big Idea!" timothy yelled out,
"We'll take care of it," Krowley reassured.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Sewerline

Ratigan looked back at the young mouse with interest. "Oh, I've found the little girl's father," he replied, continuing to inhale his cigarette. Exhaling with a grin he continued; "In fact, I've found great use for him in my latest scheme, hmm, hmm. And rest assured, I've sent some one to help reunite the two of them." He took another quick puff. "I wasn't aware Basil was accepting interns now, but I'm afraid I only have time to kidnap one child today..." From his coat pocket he took a small bell and rung it a few times. From the ground, heartless appeared in increased numbers. Ratigan chuckled. "Marvelous, aren't they? Much more proficient than my previous henchmen. as great as my bestial knowledge is, I have no idea what species they are, but to be frank, I could care less. They are obedient little shadows." He looked down to the twitching heartless and gave a cutthroat gesture. "Dispose of him elsewhere... Oh! And in case your primitive mind had yet to piece it together... I am Ratigan..."

    Back at Basil's

Fidget was scurrying around the house in an estimate that the little Scottish mouse was out seeking Basil's help. He peeked his large snout by the windowsill in which Olivia was sitting quietly in Basil's large chair. Breathing heavily, he was unaware of how loud it was. Lightning striked, revealing his outline, and caused Olivia to scream. This made Fidget startle and drop, but not fast enough for Basil not to notice. "A-ha! the fiend makes his appearance! Quickly Dawson, we've not a moment to lose!" they rush outside to find that Fidget had already fled. Basil looked around and knelt down to look at the sidewalk, where Fidget has left behind his muddy footprints.
"No sign of the blackguard anywhere," Dawson sighed.
"Not quite, Dawson. He left some rather unusual footprints. They obviously belong to the same fiend who abducted the girl's father. Ratigan's peg-legged lackey Don't worry Miss Flammerhammer, your father is as good as found!"
    "Flaversham!" the small mouse correct.
"Whatever. Now all we need to do is follow the tracks, and that scoundrel is as good as ours. Come along Dawson."
    "Y-you want me to come?"
"Ha! I should think a stouthearted army mouse like you would leap at the chance for adventure"
"Well, heh, heh. I am rather curious. But uh, what of these gentlemen," he motioned, pointing to Aden and Raisor."
"What of them? Oh, yes, well... I suppose they can come along. Who knows if something needs to be... carried or something. Besides we're already bringing along an 8 year old, so a couple of young men don't exactly hurt our chances."

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Phew!" Jaq said, exhausted as he carried in the last piece of material. The material was wrapped vigorously around his waist, and the mouse had to shimmy his hips to get it to slide off. Kicking it to the side near the dress, he looked to the other. "That one not easy to get, No no... Jaq had to jump on dresser, den da couch, den da other dresser, den use ball a yarn, den hop on ruler and balance to bookshelf, den..." the mouse went on in a mixture of words for a few more moments on his exhausted journey through the wardrobe room. He looked down and noted that everyone had found the right materials. "Zugk-zugk, we got everything for Flinderelly's dress."

"Hmm... still missing something," he said, wondering to himself. "Still needs... pretty pretty pearls," he added looking at Cinderella's drawing. Jaq tried to get them yesterday, but... Roos-a-fee..." he said shuddering. Mean cat-cat break necklace. Now pearls are all over da house!" he sighed. If Kel-kel, Etree, Runa, and Steer find da pearls, Jaq can finish up Cinderelly's dress" he motioned ecstatically. "Roos-a-fee should be sleeping downstairs, but be carefee!"

Kross seemed to have taken out a dog but only after it struck him. She started to move to assist the boy but was beaten to it by Karina. Still, this shouldn't stop her from going there so she continued, taking out the last dog on her way. Once she was near the other two she turned, guarding Karina's back as she tended to Kross. A few drills came at her, but it was nothing the girl couldn't handle.

Eon didn't realize this being was the one Basil had been searching for all this time. Maybe it was wrong of him to storm out like that. He had to leave and tell him what has happened. With the Heartless all coming down on him, he summoned his keyblade and struck them while running to the sewer entrance. His defense was high so none of these little things could do any sort of significant damage. Now came the part of climbing the ladder without being tumbled down by any of their attacks. "Aero!" He shouted. This would make him invulnerable for the needed amount of time to get out.

He emerged from the sewers with the heartless still after him. He continued to fight them off until reaching Basil's. Everyone was outside so the heartless would eventually attack them too. His heart was racing and he himself was breathing heavy. He gave himself a second to rest and walked to Basil. "I'm sorry. Ratigan knows you're hunting him. He also plans on kidnapping this little girl... I know where he is though."

Kross slightly struggled, trying to at least get back to his feet while the other two fought with him. He nodded once to Karina's question."Sorry..it caught me off guard."He said."I'm just winded"He said, finally getting to his feet and pulled his keyblade from the ground. He breathed out slowly to loosen himself and then stood with his stance wide, pointing his keyblade out at the drills."Stop!"He exclaimed, freezing the few that were closing in with clock symbols over their heads. He mostly did this to give the two breathing room so they could attack however they liked.
