Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

"Great, just what we need." Kel said as Luna ran off. With no choice to follow, he managed to catch up just in time to see the blue creatures vanish. True he was curious about them, but right now there were more pressing matter. "Who are you talking about?"

 

Steel didn't know what to tell Etrius, for he had not been participating in this struggle for long. The others would know better than he how to explain their predicament. Something had been making Etrius very angry. "Revenge" Steel thought to himself. "At least it serves my purposes. Hatred can not lead very far, but if I can help him through this he will fulfill his destiny when the time comes..." Steels thoughts were interrupted when he heard a noise. The others continued to talk as if they had not heard anything...

 

"You obviously know what's going on." Etrius snarled at Kel and Luna. Etrius never acted this way. But his patience was just about to pop, so the others better mind their words. "You obviously know about a boy in a mask. He's somehow controlling these 'Unversed' and quite possibly the Heartless as well. And the boy isn't alone, but has two other subordinates, a man in a black suit and a woman in a purple suit. Not only have you kept me from knowing what I have the right to know, but you also failed to mention that we were against the boy who killed my entire family?!" His voice had started to grow guttural, more menacing and inhuman. "Do you know how that makes me feel????!!"
Etrius' skin had taken a pale white tone. The corruption that he was feeling, from the Unversed, and the entire visit had started to take its toll on Etrius. He was starting to change into something worse. "Explain yourselves!"

 

"Even I did tell you everything I know, you really think to can stop them in your current state." It was quite clear that Etrius wasn't kidding, but neither was he. "If you fought them now then you would have no chance at winning." Even as he said this, Kel never lost his calm look on his face. Ever word he said had significant force behind it. Whether or north they would reach Etrius was a different story.

 

With two more in sight Yana ran towards the remaining birds, jumping once in range. They were taken out with some time and the area was finally clear. Whew...that was tiresome. She was too prideful to say anything of it though and Kross was still hurt. So there was no point in trying to draw the attention to herself, especially when it was unwanted.

Either way, after a few moments to make sure no more were coming, her keyblade vanished as she made her way to her wounded party member. "Better now?"

 

"You could've at least told me so that I would prepare myself." Etrius hissed at him. Etrius turned to Luna. "And you." He growled, "You failed to give info, you've been completely abstain to everything that we ask, and it look likes you about to leave!" Etrius voice suddenly sound sad as well as angry. "I had just met all you guys," He continued, lowering his head, "I don't want you to leave. I don't know where you're going, but I don't want you to leave.

 

Luna saw the pained expression on Etrius' face. She clenched her fists and walked up to him. She then slapped him across his face. "You need get a grip on yourself. There's no way ANY of us will leave. Do you think your parents will be happy seeing you like this? I know my parents won't be seeing me like this. You're letting your anger get the best of you! Etrius, you need to calm down and just relax a bit. Getting angry won't bring your parents back now will it?"Luna scowled a bit as she said all that stuff to Etrius. "Everything I do in life has a reason behind it and some of my actions don't. Kel and I will explain everything we know so far to you guys but not right now. Right now we need to focus on getting the pearls and finishing Cinderella's dress. Ok?" Her expression softened a bit. Luna started to walk back to the mouse hole. "I'm going on ahead. I want you guys to find 7 pearls and meet back in Cinderella's room once you do and no objections, got it?!" She turned back as her previous expression returned only with a little more determination.

 

"So many emotional problems." Steel thought. "They remind me of me back when I was losing my pretense of Sanity. In reality the hurt runs to deep to ever be normal again until you reach your goal." He pulled out one of his orbs and before he could bite into it, realized it was solid. He checked his bag and found that it and three other S.E.E.D.s were really pearls. "I guess that's 16."

 

Kross took a second or two to get his wind back, He stabbed the tip of his keyblade into the ground and took a momentary breather, glancing up as Yana addressed him and smiled." Yeah, thanks Yana, I just feel winded."He said softly. He picked up the bags and made his way to the wombat, seeing Karina get on. Though he would wait until Yana got on as well before he attempted anything. Maybe the time could give him a moment or two to breathe, the battle would have gone better if the wound on his back didn't impede him so much.

 

Base Noble flew much with the same velocity as a popped popcorn kernel through the air as he entered the world of Pachyderm Parade unwittingly. Of course, falling backwards while shrunk was not the most lovable sensation in the existence. For one thing, the ground was much farther away than if he were his normal size and everything that would be big normally was enormous now. He screamed at the top of his lungs as he felt the air part underneath him, and even though his voice sounded normal to him, to a lion in a cage nearby, all it could hear of him was his scream raised several dozen octaves, making the effect far more to sounding comical than tragic. Base tried to reach out for something to grab in mid air, but found nothing; he couldn't even summon his keyblade! He looked below him disparagingly as a mammoth canvas appeared to be getting bigger and wider as he approached it in his descent.

Once he hit said canvas, he shot through it like a pea, leaving only the tiniest of holes in the roof of the Big Top, and he entered a very different atmosphere. He was inside a Circus tent, and was met with the fact by repeatedly hitting things that belonged toward the roof of a Circus tent. His fall was softened, fortunately enough, to the point that once he came into reach of a tight rope, much thicker by his new perception, he latched on and managed to keep a steady hold. He breathed a sigh of relief that was left unfinished as a a Heartless below mindlessly rocked the post supporting the wire as it thrashed into it. He clamored to secure his hold and held his breath and lightly hollered as he lost his grip and started falling all over again. Only this time when he instinctively called for his Keyblade, it came to him, materializing in his Right hand. Now with a little more security, Base knitted his eyebrows together and stared at the ground as he made the dive. All he could hear was the slowed down cheer of masses as he dropped, Keyblade and head first; they sounded like a group of happy people that had been submerged underwater. It wasn't long in this slowed-down mental state Base could physically stay, and so he thought quickly. He aimed for a particular odd little Heartless with a familiar shape -familiar to him only because it looked like a note painted blue- and landed with his Keyblade thrust in through it's head, and he used its dispensing its remaining dissipating mass to break his fall. He had really fallen into the midst of an uproar! He looked around, dizzy from the lengthened free fall and happy to finally be on solid ground. He looked blindly around, searching for someone to answer for all the madness. He knew the Heartless would be drawn here only by a few things, and he faintly hoped a Keyblade user was a part of that reason.

 

Etrius was surprised at Luna's slap to his face. His mind went on rewind again. He looked at his hand, now pale white in color. Little wisps of dark smoke was floating out from his hand. He clenched his hand. Luna was right. Etrius realized that the corruption was getting to him, making him fall apart. Etrius relaxed a little, returning to normal color, but his eyes remained red. He still wasn't happy, and all he needed was to think alone. "My head hurts." Etrius said, his voice normal but sullen, He crouched then did a backflip off the dresser. A normal human would have gotten seriously hurt, but not Etrius. As he landed, he stood up, turned an walk towards the othe mouse hole.

 

She nodded at Kross' reply before moving to the 'transportation' and climbed aboard. It was not unheard of in her world for animals to be used in such a manner, but it was something she's never done before. Well...first time for everything, she guessed.

 

Kel nodded in agreement before heading off in search of more pearl. Fortunately, he found pretty quickly. Two down, no clue how many are left. Either way he continue his search around his search.

 

It seemed that everyone had left Steel just standing there by himself. That was okay though. Steel had known for a long time that no one could truly pay any real attention to him. They mostly just acted like they cared. It was the most basic part of his existence; other people could not truly grasp the full length of his presence, even if they wanted to. He had learned not to care about what other people thought, they were usually self centered brats anyway. He had people to save; Cinderella being one of them. Therefore, he cared very little in the long run if people didn't want to participate in the grand scheme of the universe. It was up to him. He ran up the side of the Wardrobe, jumped to the shelf, and grabbed 4 pearls. Noticing that Kel had found 2 others, he said; "That's 22/40."

 

"Good enough." Shapur said under his breath as he took up a position about ten feet away from the elephant. He would tail Dumbo, slashing away any heartless that got too close. All the while, he kept his eyes on Krowley to make sure he would be alright.

 

Base lunged at a crossing Heartless. As if by response, he received a good rough bump to his back from one of the legless monsters hopping around. He hollered out in reply as the swift attack had caught him off guard and sent him forward onto his knees, winded. He leaped to his feet, knowing the Heartless would still be behind him. A pulsating bubble of red heat nearly scalded him as it flew by to his left. The attack had missed, but the fervor radiating from the bubble had been intense at even a distance. He made a mental note not to let them have a direct hit. He slashed at the creature and it rocketed head over buttocks three feet away, landing with a thud; he finished it off with a crushing downward movement of his Kingdom Key.

Panicked and out of breath, he ran for cover inside a discarded, half-empty Popcorn bag. The smell of salt, butter and burnt organic matter balanced heavily with the fluffy texture of Popcorn pieces bigger than he was. He stopped to catch his breath, doubling over with his hands on his knees when, all at once, there was another Heartless like the last one. His eyes darted at it with a pained expression.

"What does it take to get rid of you guys!?" He yelled a remark at the mindless Heartless, flaring his Keyblade with a flourish. The Heartless' response was merely to blow yet another bubble of flame toward Base, and Base reacted by getting out of the way. Unfortunately, even though it missed him, it did not miss the background which, due to the high amounts of paper, salt and animal fat, caught flame right away and blazed brilliantly. Base threw himself out of the burning popcorn bag and swiftly ended his third Heartless since arriving. Almost instantly following he was blasted with a gust of Cold Wind and felt a creepy sensation of Absolute Zero on his back carousing up his spine. He wheeled around to see another Heartless, this one like the last but blue in color. It honked madly at him and swelled its body up.

"Silencio!" Base retorted, casting his Keyblade in a toss right through the minuscule monster as it puffed up. The Keyblade pierced the air pocket it was creating and let loose a popping sound followed by something that sounded like a rubber ball deflating. The Keyblade fell to the floor and Base dashed to pick it up. With his weapon again secure in his grasp, Base continued to carve a path of carnage until he reached the sight of a large grey elephant bounding about, and took out a few Heartless that were emitting all manners of dangerous bubbles towards the mammoth animal. Again, he was winded, and doubled over once more, his Keyblade's tip thrusting into the ground and he took a knee as his body collapsed. He fell with a clatter and a WHUMP! into the dirt of the Big Top floor, his Keyblade returning to whence it came. Then, for Base at least, everything went black.

 

From the top of the Wardrobe, Steel went through a mouse hole. 2 Unversed, which had been carrying pearls, quickly fled his presence. "Worthless creatures." he said. He grabbed the pearls and continued through the walls inner corridor. He came across another pearl by the intersection that would take him to either the end-table or the ground floor. After picking up the pearl, he decided the best route to take would be to more thoroughly search the ground floor. In accordance with his decision, he jumped into the wide gap that stood before him.

 

Luna had a careful eye looking for the remaining pearls out left as well as the enemies carrying the pearls. After a while, she stumbled upon 3 enemies, two in fact had pearls. "Killing 3 birds that have two pearls. All the more fun for me." Luna had drew a smirk on her face as she jumped and attacked the enemies. She grabbed the two pearls and continued on her way.
