With the final hit, Lucifer was knocked back into the wall. He hissed and rubbed his bruised nose before slumping away into the hall. Whatever score he had to settle with the small vermin was not worth all this hassle. especially not for a house cat.
"Oh, that's a big Thank you," Jaq said to his new and old friends.


(OOC - This group is somewhat ahead of the overlapping group timeline, so I'm kind of stalling until the others finish)

 

Karina considered using her limit but not yet. She would wait. For now she would focus on just straight physical attacks. She wanted to help heal Base. She had learned that whether or not she liked her team, they where people she had to learn to work with, there was no getting around that, so it is better to have a healthy strong team then for one person to faint. But unfortunately she didn't bring any items with her. The best help she could be now was to take out the Symphony master as quick as possible. Karina charged up and attacked it.

Karina finally decided to use her limit, it was charged up so why not? It only proved more power for her meaning they would finish this battle faster. She looked forward to the time it would be done. The battle was so long and took up so much energy. Everyone would be glad when the battle was over. They all needed the break. But Karina wouldn't sit down or take things lightly, she would keep going. Vanitas and his friends needed to be stopped. As long as they where out there she would not rest.

The Cursed Coach rocked back and forth, swaying it's vines in a dizzy fashion. The unversed had taken all the damage it could muster, and as per tradition with previously encountered unversed, began to deteriorate back into darkness. The behemoth-like pumpkin had fallen with at least two warriors still vigilant from the battle.​

With little time to reconcile, the Grand Duke from the Royal palace had made his way onto the scene, rushing as fast as his thin legs could take me. "Oh I must find her, or his majesty will never let me hear the end of it!" Whilst running, he caught sight of the four young men and raised a hand, asking for assistance. "Oh excuse me young sirs! A word?"he decreased in speed, taking out his pocket handkerchief to wipe of any excess sweat from his very furry brow.​

"His royal majesty has sent me on a search o find one very young, lovely lady... all she had left behind was this," the Duke reached into his uniform pocket to pull out the glass slipper that Cinderella had left behind. This was however, unknown to the Prince, or any other residents who attended. "The prince has found her to be a most suitable bride, but does not recognize her as a denizen of the kingdom. Th-therefore, the king has decreed whoever fits the slipper shall be his... bride." Before the last word was uttered, the duke wiped off another chorus of sweat from his face. "I am now off to Lady Tremaine, as she is the closest residence." Now having caught his breath, he proceeded to briskly jog towards the manor. "Spread the word!" He yelled back, dawdling his small legs to Lady Tremaine's.​

The Grand Duke had made his way to the residence of Lady Tremaine, and the home of her daughters. He briskly walked to the front door to get the first house over with. Who knows how many women could fit the prince's description. all they had to go on was the shoe size, and even then, it was no re-assurance it would truly be the one they fell in love with.

He gave a swift few knocks on the door, and awaited an answer.

On the other side of the door, Lady Tremaine was peering through the peephole, as if expecting his arrival. "It's just as I feared... they know she's here..." Her daughters; Drizella and Anastasia were still left in the dark as to what she was talking about. "I don't understand. What would they want with Cinderella?" One asked, adding disgusted emphasis on her name. "Because Drizzella, she's the one the prince was dancing with. And if he finds her, then he will make her his bride!" they both gave looks of envious shock. "Which is exactly why I locked the little betrayer in her room. I've hidden the key where no one will find it..."

Meanwhile, outside Cinderella's room.​

"Got the key! Got the key!" Jaq shouted in joy. The little mouse shuffled his legs at such a quick pace, dragging the key alongside him. Having the mind of twitchy little creature, he never even bothered considering that any of the keyblade wielders could have just opened the lock for him. If not for Lucifer being the obstacle he is, they would have reached her sooner. Nevertheless, the group had made progress since their initial separation from the rest of their party, and could now continue on with their goal.​

Passing the stairs, Jaq stopped with his ear lifted into the air. Lady Tremaine had opened the door was speaking to an unknown visitor.​

"You honor our humble home m'lord."​

The high pitched man cleared his throat before replying; "Quite." His hands were delicately holding a glass slipper, that of which belonged to Cinderella.​

"May I present my daughters, Drizella and anastasia..." She took the man into the living room where their voices became more and more muffled. But Jaq didn't need t know what they were saying. He may be a mouse, but he could still put two and two together. If he didn't let Cinderella claim that shoe, then one of Tremaine's daughter's would. and that would just be wrong.​

"No no no! Cinderelly slipper! We're coming Cinderelly!" He was now moving his legs faster to get to the door. All he had to do, was push the key under the door, and allow her to unlock herself, so she could show her stepmother what's what.​

​

 

Karina charged up her next move. The end of her keyblade has a purple tint to it. She hoped this would work. Karina charged forward leaping up and slashing the Symphony Master. As she made contact with him the purple tint left her keyblade. It would do them some good if she successfully poisoned the thing. Speed up the fight a little but. If she didn't then it was back to fighting with just her shear strength.
