Cat, still staring down llama Kuzco, answered Ananta. "Are you kidding? Who else would be so selfish and cocky? Besides, magic exists, right? Changing shape isn't so preposterous when you think about the evidence." She wanted to mention that each world has its own rules and this one's might've involved that sort of magic, but they had an order to maintain, so she kept quiet about that bit.

Whirling around his keyblade in a windmill sort of fashion, Glen charged straight through two of the small shadow heartless, causing them to disappear in a black vapor. How many were there? They didn't seem to be slowing down. He took the same stance he had taken before; the one that made it difficult to predict his movements, and surveyed the area around him. It seemed like despite the heartless not slowing down that many of the people fighting had not slowed down either. Glen breathed out a sigh. He was getting tired, but there was absolutely no way he was going to be the first one to give up. Suddenly something occurred to him; he had completely forgotten about ping. How was the girl/guy doing?

She didn't seem to be faring too well, it seemed almost like the armor had been holding her back. If it was such an issue, why didn't she just remove it? He nearly slapped himself in the face. Because she's trying to look like a he, idiot he thought to himself. He rushed over to where Ping was. "You look like you could use some help" he stated bluntly as he arrived there, and he quickly set to work once more, attempting to keep as many of the heartless off Ping as possible.

"Well it was mostly the Aussie doing the arguing, but yeah that was me." Beuce responded to Luna before taking her hand for help. "Thanks. You know i think you're the first girl here that hasn't conspired to choke me in my sleep. You're not just lulling me into a false sense of security or anything are you?" Asked the white haired man who spoke very nonchalantly about everything. This usually lead one to assume he was joking while leaving a shadow of doubt otherwise. Beuce waited around for Krowley to finish the introductions to the blonde girl apparently named Alice. "So we're following a white rabbit. That's always a good time."

"Le gasp!" Beuce exclaimed, literally speaking the word gasp rather than performing the action. "Footprints. Conveniently placed footprints! Where ever might they lead?" Beuce said sarcastically, as though he already knew where. Any fool could guess that they lead to the white rabbit, as they were about the right size and shape. not to mention the only ones around. Out of seemingly nowhere, Beuce pulled a magnifying glass and began staring intensly through it at the dirt tracks. With a wave of his hand, The wielder motioned for the rest of the group to follow him. "Tally ho!" Beuce called out in his best british accent.

Following Beuce's rather dramatic evincing of the footprints, Base shook his head and followed in suit. No, quite literally: he followed in a Victorian age suit. He had grown a moustache or merely placed a false one upon his lip and donned a bowler hat. In his opinion, there should always be balance, after all, what is Sherlock without a Watson? Granted, that's the same age of story-telling as Lewis Carroll's, but Carroll came a bit earlier than Doyle and his Detective, but oh well, Base followed as Watson anyway. "Quite frankly, Beuce, it's not only women who have had the urge to strangle the daylights out of you." Base prodded at his comrade from Pachyderm Parade, as he too followed the trail to the White Rabbit.

The llama turned his neck behind him after recovering from his daze. "What llama? Why are you all looking at me like that? Look away from the royal emperor!" He held his right hand demanding that they cease looking, only too look upon it in shock as he had only just now noticed his changed form. "WH-what? It can't be!" He clopped his front hooves together and began to panic with each new feature he discovered. The fur, tail, neck, ear, everything was piling on top of an already heavy situation for him. In his panic, he ran to a small pond a few feet away to get a confirmation of his complexion. He was not pleased. "Ahh! My face! My beautiful, beautiful face! I'm an ugly stinking llama!"

The emperor broke down in tears began hitting his face with his hooves in shame. "LLAMA FAAAACE!!" His tantrum only got worse and worse as he tried to deny it, but the truth was as real as his fur. He overheard Ananta ask; "Why would that guy turn into a llama?"
"I'm trying to figure that out, okay!" he yelled out, despite him not being the target of the question. "I can't remember... I can't remember anything!" He rubbed the side of his head where he was knocked out to see if anything in memory would spark. "Wait a minute... I remember you guys. I remember ordering my guards to kick you out the side window, and you looked really mad and-" Kuzco's face pieced together his own conclusion for what happened, and eyed the party angrily. "And then you turned me into a llama! Yeah... and then you kidnapped me!"

"What?" Cat was shocked that Kuzco would dare accuse them of doing this. "Of course we'd be mad at you for sicking your guards on us on a whim! But we're not vengeful pricks. Have you even considered that that Yzma lady might've, I don't know, valued her job? Maybe if you'd take a second to re-evaluate your little self-absorbed fantasy world, you'd see that your actions actually have consequences." She was beyond furious, and there was no stopping her now. It felt good to chew out the emperor for his selfishness. He was taking everything for himself and completely disregarding anyone else's needs. He reminded her of her father.

She thought back on her home and how hard it had been for her mom. How was she doing by herself? Was she better off not having to take care of a kid, or was she lonely in that apartment? Either way, she'd have to make it a point to write to her when they got back to that place she'd first landed in.

The heartless were as persistent as ever, and it bothered Glen. Why would they be trying so hard right now? How much would it take to actually defeat them? He was beginning to tire out a little now, but his grip on the keyblade was as powerful as ever. "I'm not going to slow down, they'll all die. Every last one of those stupid creatures" he said, in a somewhat dark tone. He rushed at a soldier heartless and attacked them with a flurry of attacks, before leaping into the air and coming down onto another shadow heartless with his poison edge attack.

Ananta, after hearing cat angrily scold the emperor, she held her arm forward. She shook her head and approached the emperor cautiously. "Look, we weren't mad at you as much as you think we were. In fact, we were more scared than anything. All of those guards you send scared most of us half to death. We escaped with our lives, at the least. That doesn't really matter though, let bygones be bygones, I say." she said, holding a hand out as if asking to shake his...hoof. "Shake hands, to show that you understand. I'm not really mad at you, though, but I can keep my comrades from trying to hurt you any. Right now, however, we need to get someplace where we can treat the ones injured. So if you'll agree to go with us to the nearby village, you'd be alright and not try and charge us with anything while we try and figure out what really happened with you. Because honestly, you were at dinner with Kronk and Yzma while we were running away from your guards." Ananta pointed that out to him. Maybe he'd be able to agree with them. She needed to rest, her side was paining her a little bit.

Once the dust had settled. many of the wounded soldiers arose, with the party and Ping still out on top of their game. Captain Shang approached the six with an impressed look on his face. "That was quite the impressive display. What are you're names?" Ping took this as an opportunity to make her family proud, even if she wasn't the one doing most of the fighting. "I am the son of Faa Zhou-"
"I didn't ask you," the Captain replied harshly. "You could barely hold your weapon, let alone use it. If it hadn't been for these soldiers, you would have fallen in seconds. If I were you, I'd return home." Turning to the party, he addressed them with respect, unlike the courtesy he had given ping. "As for you five, you're welcome in my troop. your battle skills are encouraging. We could use that kind of skill in the campsite just north of the mountains."
Mulan was still discouraged. She didn't want to bring dishonor to her family, and couldn't leave now after she had run off.
"Captain, I will train as hard as I can to be a part of this army. If I leave now, I will only dishonor my family!"
"You would rather dishonor my troops?" Mulan remained vigilant despite that last remark. She remembered what Mushu told her and kept a serious face. It seemed to have been woring as the Captain hadn't repeated himself.
"Hmm... So you want to be tested?" He looked to the five keybladers. "Since you seem to be associated with him, I'm leaving him in your care. I can't have the others slowed down. Your assignment is to head towards the Northern campsite I mentioned earlier. You six will advance through the mountain pass and scout out the mountain for my troops. Stay alert, and don't get yourself killed. This is your one and only shot at proving to me you have what it takes. Move out!"

Steel laughed out loud: It was funny to him. "Us turn you into a Llama? Me: Maybe. Them: Uh-uh, and they wouldn't go along with me if I tried." He reveled a bit longer in his cruel cackling, then returned to the matter at hand. "Ananta is right, this is best figured out at the village; away from those who would seek us out." He walked in the deriction of the village, then stopped and turned around. "Unless his Imperial Majesty "Llama Face" Has a problem with that?" He bowed to Kuzco.

Karina finally saw the end of the heartless. It was a long battle but she took relief in the fact it was over. Her back was sore from the attack and she was sick of the sight of heartless. It seemed like they where never ending and she hated it. Couldn't they just once do something without having to deal with the Heartless where ever they went. It was ridiculous. Karina stepped out from between the tents and looked around at the rest of the army. A bunch of weaklings is what they where. Even when she was injured she kept going without caring.

Karina approached the rest of the group. She quickly used one of her new abilities to cure herself. She took her place at the back of the group like always. Ping didn't do too well and the Captain wanted to her to leave. Karina felt bad for her. She stepped up. "Sir, the name is Eric..." She hesitated as she realized how out of place her name sounded here. "Do you not think everyone deserves a chance to prove what he could do?" Karina said trying to convince him. She didn't want to see Ping go home.

Karina nodded. "We will train He- him well don't worry." She assure as she turned towards the path that lead to the mountain pass. Karina clenched her jaw as she took the orders from the Captain. Even though she seemed to agree with him, in her mind she hated the fact that he was telling her what to do. And why did they have to scout it out so for everyone else's safety. What if they came across something. They where sent out to die while the rest of the troopssat back safe and sound at the camp. It was ridiculous. She was mad but she didn't let that show on her face. She started to head along the path without waiting for the others.

Glen gulped. This Captain had been impressed by them for sure, but could they keep up at the pace that he seemed to expect? "I'm fine with being part of your troop, but I think Ping should be given another chance. He's really a much better fighter than you think, he's just having an off day, aren't you Ping?" Glen said, nudging Ping just a little bit with his elbow.

After hearing of the 'test' Glen nodded his head. "There's no way that i'm going to die out there" he responded quietly. He turned and began following Karina, who had shown that she herself was capable of defending herself. With the team they had, what was there to fear? Sure, they weren't the absolute best fighters there were, but the others seemed to be competent enough, and Glen had faith in his own strength. Even if the others turned out to be burdens, which he doubted, Glen was always up for a challenge.

Flora nodded. "Ping'll be fine for sure, he just needs to warm up some more." She patted him on the back. "Anyway, my name is Lee. These soldiers are Glen, Raisor, Kel, and-" She stopped as Karina introduced her male self. "Yeah." Karina then set off and Flora followed closely, catching up to her comrade. "Hey Eric... Mind if I ask you something?" She quietly whispered. She was curious as to why Karina hated being ordered around so much. It wasn't like he was forcing her to do it, it was still up to her to listen or not. She hesitated a bit though, Karina would surely yell or hit her for it. Flora didn't want that, she just wanted to be her friend, or at least not totally hated by her. Chances were, Karina just needed a friend anyway. Plus, she was so much like Flora's old best friend that she wanted them to be friends. The thought of her old best friend Ayla made her sad. They got along so well before the darkness took her world. She shook it off and continued, looking ahead and waiting for Karina's response, which would likely be something mean.

Raisor put away his keyblade as the heartless were finally finished off. He wasn't expecting much, but for an army this big, he was hoping for a few more people with some kind of spine. He also realized Mulan was incredibly lacking in fighting ability. It actually was embarrassing for him to watch her fight.
They were all called together by the Captain and he treated them with some respect. Apparently if they were already good enough to get his respect, the rest were in dire need of more training. Flora ended up introducing him, which he really didn't care, but he could speak for himself when he wanted. The only problem was that the Captain didn't have much interest in having Mulan in his army. What he found even more stupid was the fact that he cared about the honor of his troops. At that point Raisor just wanted to kick the Captain in the shin and explain why exactly that doesn't matter. I would think that having your family's honor is a little more important to the person himself, or herself, than the honor of troops who can't even fight. At least she tried fighting, compared to the rest. He couldn't say that out loud, but he was getting annoyed with the way this army worked.
The Captain gave them a mission to go to the mountains and secure it as their first mission, as well as a test for Mulan. Raisor supposed that as long as the Captain wasn't watching, and they managed to get Mulan up to it fast enough, they would be able to keep her in the military. But he really wished that she could learn to fight better. There was not much in her future if she did all that nonsense again.
He started walking towards the edge of the camp, looking back behind him.
"Hey guys, are you coming? I'm not doing this job by myself you know."

"Yzma!" Kuzco exclaimed at the name of his former adviser. "She can change me back! This is just her kind of shtick since she has the 'secret lab.' She can change me back to human again!" The llama emperor had completely ignored their words and was now only focused on one thing; getting back to the palace and finding Yzma. "Now that that's settled, help me get up so I can get back to he palace, and get back to normal." He wobbled his hind and front legs, still adjusting to his new form. "Hey, I haven't got all day peasants, come on, chop-chop! Village, no. Palace, yes."

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The group walked along the main path, following Alice and the footprints. As he walked a few feet behind her, Krowley was curious as to how she was able to get here. This was all as foreign to her as it was for them. So how did she trek on with no knowledge or worry?
"You said you fell down a rabbit hole, right?"
    "I did," she politely replied.
He pondered if it was the same vertical hallway the group descended through. What if it was a gateway to a new world? A world within a world? Would that even be possible? The more questions he asked himself, the more his head hurt. Alice seemed so calm and surreal on the whole thing. Optimistic, and kind as well. Were she in a more royal gown, he could of sworn she would be a princess of heart.

"Oh dear," Alice spoke out. The group stopped to see the footprints had fully faded at a crossroad.
"I wonder which way we ought to go..." she pondered aloud. Which way indeed. There was a number of signs with no directional meaning, with wording like this way, that way, go back, up, down, and all other possibilities. Like some kind of sick joke where there is no right way.

"Lose something?" an unfamiliar voice asked. The sound came from a tree overhead, where a pink and purple striped cat appeared from thin air. Were this world not messed up already, Krowley would have gone on the offensive.

"Well you see, we were just wondering which way to go." Alice replied
"Well... that depends on where you want to get to..." The Cheshire cat replied.
"Oh well it really doesn't matter, as long as I-"
"Then.. it really doesn't matter which way you go..." The cat turned invisible and began walking around the group, creating two different sets of paw prints to confuse and playfully tease their sane heads.

Etrius had to laugh at Steel's last notion. " 'Imperial Majesty???' " Etrius asked, laughing, "He isn't even worth the effort! He might as well be left for dead. If anything, this entire mission is becoming a waste of time. But, if he does choose to be polite for once in his life, then maybe I might help. I can't help if he doesn't."

Ananta stood up, wincing a little bit. "I know you wanna get back to being an emperor and all, but do you see how late it is? We'll die if we try and head back for the palace this late at night. You don't want to die, do you Kuzco?" she sighed at him. Indeed, it seemed to be getting darker as the minutes passed by them. Medical treatment and some sleep sounds pretty good right now. As well as something to eat. "Also, are you hungry? Because I'm hungry. And I could really go for roast llama right now." she chuckled.

As the last of the heartless threat finally vanished Kel made his way back to the other, where they were given praise by the commander. Well most of them. Ping on the other hand didn't get much praise. Though he had to give him credit, he was quite determined not to bring dishonor his family. That was all good and all, but if you didn't have the strength to back up your resolve, it might as well be an empty threat to the opposition. That's right, with power you can reach your goals and he wasn't going to let anyone get in his way.

Hearing that Ping was going to be left in their care didn't surprise him too much. The previous display of fighting aside, it was probably for the best due to his little secret. After they were given there order, Kel remained silent before heading out towards the mountains. It seemed that there were more troops aside from the ones that did little to nothing before. Maybe they would have more heart and not run from an unknown threat.

Karina was a fair amount ahead of most of the rest if the group due to the fact that she ran off so much quicker then them. That didn't stop Flora from catching up though. And of course it would be her so eager to talk. Could that girl not just leave her alone already? She kept appearing an it was irritating Karina. She was the only one to not leave her alone. "What is it!?" She snapped at Flora. She didn't want to hear it but if she had to she would humor her for now. She just wanted to finish this mission as fast as possible. Who really wanted to scout out a mountain anyways. It was such a boring job to be doing. Would her strength not be of better use somewhere else? But in the end a mission was a mission and who was she to refuse it? She really had no right to do so. Mind you she didn't have a right to anything in her culture but none the less she had to do this.

Raisor stayed a little behind the rest of the group, wanting to keep to himself while they walked up the mountain. Plus it'd be good for them to have someone in the back in case they got ambushed. Since they were right in the middle of a war, there was no telling what might happen, so they all had to be extra careful. He didn't know how far they were from the mountain village, but he just wanted to get there and rest his legs. Climbing up hills and mountains was the one thing Raisor hated above all else. It made his feet hurt and he did not enjoy dealing with the unevenness of the ground.

As they continued, Raisor saw as Flora and Karina were near each other. They did not seem to like one another, but at least they could fight well, so there had to be some kind of friendship going on there, even if it's just a rivalry. Glen just kept to himself, and Raisor was wondering what his story was. Raisor joined this case because he wanted to learn how to use his keyblade better and get stronger, as well as he wanted to fight strong opponents, but he wondered why the others came. There would probably be a lot of interesting stories if they were all to get together and talk about it. He noticed Mulan as well, walking with the group, but a little tired. They really couldn't stop, but it would also be good to push her a little, if not just for some training. He just wondered why she didn't have a horse with her. Hope she didn't walk to the army camp from home; that would have been harsh. He kept to himself as they continued up the mountain, wondering what might be there by the time they get to the village.
