Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Eon's pleading reached Steels ears. As he continued to duel with Panchito, he wished he could do something to support him. But he knew the mission: It was one of self defense. They needed only to convince the trio that they could not win this battle. Over by where the others were fighting, It seemed that his stop spell had worked, but only for a few moments. "Ugh." In his brief distraction, Panchito had managed to successfully shoot him. He grunted and staggered back, then continued to block the bullets that came at him. It was a minor injury. He could take care of it later. "If Leo were here, he would be shoving SO many jawbreakers down your throat." He thought. Then he reconsidered. "But you guys aren't heartless...So I suppose it's a good thing he is not here." He put those thoughts aside and ran for a quick jab at Panchito. Upon a succesful hit, he went for a combo of a few extra slashes and an upward thrust. He tried to knock Panchitos' guns away but nearly got his face blown off. He jumped back before the bird could retaliate further. "Oh well," He whispered to himself. "It's Kingdom Hearts; he would've gotten them back anyway."

 

Base was perplexed. Not only to the reasoning of why Periwinkle was somehow a more "manly" color than Pink, but also by the musicality of their strange hosts. He sat in a big satin Victorian chair with swirls in its fine pink cloth; and dark elm wood for its chassis. Curiosity got the best of him, of course, and so he tried to conduct the Tea Set whistlers with a surprising effect: they followed his command and he added a quaint syncopation to the silly song they were whistling. When he was thoroughly satisfied with his musical feat, he continued to conduct as he asked the March Hare. He took advantage of the fact the Hare's back was turned, and asked in a keen imitation of the Mad Hatter's voice. "Pardon my asking, but what exactly is an Un-Birthday; I seem to have forgotten." Of course, he did not want to come across as stupid or out-of-the-loop. "You know, this really is the best butter." He then said quickly and casually in his own voice to detract from his previous deceptive question. He laced his toast with the gooey hot butter and dunked it in his cup of tea. Upon further inspection of the cup, he noticed it had a crack... or rather a chip... on one side, and the most curious thing about this particular cup, with its white body and golden trim, was that it looked like it had large blue eyes painted on the sides. He continued to drink from it with poise and grace; sticking his pinky finger out. "A very Merry Un-Birthday to you." He murmured while taking a sip.

 

Flora noticed the scene with the mouse and rolled her eyes at Glen. "You are such a baby. That poor little guy could be dead now!"

Flora then heard Karina then straightened up and declared they needed to move on.

"She's right. Although thanks to Glen we have to find a NEW way to go into the rest of the cave without being brutally assaulted. I have no doubt SOMEONE knows we're coming." She rolled her eyes. "What do you say Karina?"

 

Raisor walked behind the rest of the group, keeping his guard up for whatever might happen to them. He wasn't about to let any of them get ambushed, but if they were all hiding outside the cave, they might be in trouble; if they got caved in, they wouldn't be able to get out very easily. He walked on, trying not to think about the painful thought of being buried alive.

As they reached the end of the cave, they came to a small clearing. The only problem was, there wasn't any body there. In fact, the only sign that there was were the candles on the wall. Other than that, it was completely deserted. Raisor knew something was bound to go wrong, and of course he had to be right. Mushu freaked out about no one being in the room, but as soon as Raisor turned around he saw the Hun leader. And just as soon as that, a barrier blocked them all inside. He really wished that he had been wrong about the trap, but his luck wasn't quite as good as that. Just as soon as the barrier appeared, Shan-Yu went off, laughing.
"Okay, that guy is way to cocky for his own good. Next time we see him, I'm knocking his head into a wall of snow." Raisor tried to make the situation seem less worrisome, but just then heartless started to appear around them. "Scratch that, first I'm going to beat him senseless for making us do useless fighting. Then I'm going to smash his head into a wall of snow."

Raisor brought out his keyblade, ready for the fight that was about to ensue.

 

Beuce's green eyes were fixated on the horse which had run by them after Alice. He thought he caught a glimpse of the rider, but wasn't entirely certain. Even if he was right, it made no difference as it wasn't a good enough look to tell anything and it was now out of their reach. He groaned, wanting to give chase. However, this wasn't the time for that. Heartless were appearing and teacups were flying. The sound of shattering glass pulled his attention to the fight. In a flash of light, a small wooden keyblade was in his hand. It wasn't much in the department of strengthening him, but it had its uses. The white haired keyblader began charging toward the foes like a bull attempting to gore its target. Normally running headfirst into a swarm of heartless was a bad idea, but not when you had the ability Beuce did.

With a quick leap forward, light engulfed him and took the form of a rotating shield around his body. He was temporarily defended from harm as well as mounting an offensive manuever. "Strike!" He called, as the heartless had resembled bowling pins to him. This barrier was, however, quick to fade. Though it didn't last long, it made way for the other wielders to follow suite and lay waste to the heartless. From his experience in these situations, he knew that once the last foe was dead, the barrier would drop and they were free to give chase. He just hoped the could catch up.

 

Steel finally managed to knock Panchito on the side of the head and beat him in such a manner that The bird would surely feel it in the morning. The others seemed to have taken care of Donald. Now all that was left was Jose. Steel zoomed in Jose's direction and sent a flurry of rapid jabs and slashes at him, but to no avail: The blows merely bounced off Jose's magic umbrella. This irritated Steel, but he quickly came up with strategy. He Sent a few more slashes at the impenetrable umbrella, then quickly performed a reversal, slashing at the vulnerable side of the bird. Jose dropped to the ground and dropped the umbrella. He grabbed for it in vain as it was now in Steels' possession. He smiled at Jose, and what happened next was very entertaining: Jose launched an ice crystal at him. Steel used his combat acquisition to push the crystal in Donalds' direction, ensuring that his determination would not be a hindrance anytime soon. Jose cast multiple magic spells at him, but each merely glanced off Jose's own umbrella. Steel smiled as he ran up to Jose: Faster than the eye could see, and sent another flurry of slashes at him. With no barrier: the onslaught was effective and he managed to knock Jose across the clearing. They were almost finished.

 

Cat looked over at Steel, who, having incapacitated Panchito, kept going after Jose until that ridiculous umbrella was finally in his possession. The bird's last ditch spell bounced right over to Donald, and she smiled as the duck was frozen with absolute fury in his face -- she almost swore the ice would melt from how angry he was sure to be. She went around behind Jose and, trying her best to remain undetected, swung her Keyblade at him when she was within range, using the momentum to keep the hits piling up. When she couldn't hit him anymore, she stumbled backwards, absolutely exhausted. It looked like he didn't have much, if any, fight left in him, so she at least stood herself up and got ready to defend.

 

He couldn't do anything. They were his friends. He refused to fight anyone who he trusted. What exactly came over them. Was the pay just THAT good they would attack them. It unsettled Eon completely. He needed to do something to help, but what. He thought for a moment until a light went off in his head. He could at least heal his team mates. "Life dwelling within, Heal they wounds! Cure!" He yelled as he cast the spell onto Steel, Cat, Ananta and all the others in the party. At least he could help them, but in turn, that would mean they could last longer to hurt the birds... Eon was beyond conflicted.

 

Glen cursed quietly to himself. They'd been led into a trap, and one filled with heartless at that. Well, not a lot of choice here, we'll have to kill them he thought to himself. Thankfully, he still had his keyblade out from when he had hit the mouse out of the cave. "Screw hitting him into snow, I say we just end him" Glen replied. He was being more grim than usual, possibly because being trapped against a large amount of heartless was exactly the way his father had died. And as much as he missed his father, he wasn't eager to join him in the afterlife.

As Karina ran forward and attacked one of the assault riders, Glen decided that teamwork would be the way to survive the encounter. He ran over next to the assault rider that Karina had attacked, and was unprepared for the attack that came from it. Thankfully, his reactions were quick enough that he managed to dodge out of the way of the weapon, and after sidestepping around it he swung around in a 180 degree arc, delivering a violent swing at the Assault Rider. "Kill the riders first, they're the ones that will do the most!" he shouted as he braced himself for a counter attack.

 

Glen turned to look at Karina. "You may have been able to handle it alone, but you're too slow. Don't show these scum mercy" he said. Glen then heard a scurrying sound behind him, sounding as though a shadow heartless was behind him. He whirled around and swung his keyblade lightning quick, slashing through three shadow heartless. "They don't deserve any mercy, all they do is prey on the weak" he added coldly. He stepped forward and stabbed his keyblade straight through a heartless, dispatching it quickly as it turned into black vapor.

In all honesty, Kel was quite surprised to see that Shan Tsung was leaving the cave after the barrier had trapped them. Clever little sneak, it'll make it all the better when I take you down. While that thought was pretty cocky, he didn't care. Actions spoke louder than words and thoughts anyway. Still, the heartless surrounding would have to be dealt with first. His timing to summon his keyblade was well since four of the swarm headed for them. Unfortunately they traveled in a clump which made it easier for his to use fire, the one spell he actually uses, to wipe them all out.

 

Raisor picked a spot in a corner of the cave and let the heartless come to him. He watched as Glen and Karina took down an assault rider, and chuckled. They were certainly being showy with their moves, that's for sure. He look in front of him as three heartless jumped at him. He quickly switched his quick to a back-handed grip and swung himself with his keyblade, making a big arc and taking out the heartless. Just then an assault rider came after him and as it plunged its spear toward him he ducked under it and ran past the heartless, giving it a blow to its side. As he stop, he stabbed another shadow behind him, making sure he wouldn't get attacked from any blind spots.

 

"YEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAWWWWWW!!!" Came a cry that belong to Flora. She was riding the Ursa Assault Rider and hitting it with her Keyblade on the back. This was fun. She tried steering it into a few smaller Heartless, successfully taking out around three of them. When the Heartless slammed into the wall, it staggered backwards, then fell, allowing Flora to roll off it. "Aw... it's broken." She said. She was then swarmed by Shadows, and she swung swiftly enough to kill a few of them. Suddenly, she noticed another Rider coming toward her. "Uh-oh..." She said, realizing she wouldn't be able to dodge in time. She had to think of a plan, and fast.

 

The heartless waves seemed unending, every time they took out one heartless another one would just take its place. There's gotta be an end to them..right? Glen thought to himself. He focused his attention on a small group of shadows in front of himself, coming towards him with no organization like the beasts they were. He could probably take them out quickly, but he would risk injury, and there were still a lot of heartless left. No, better to prevent injury where possible so that he could take down Shan-Yu. Reacting quickly, he cast his gravity spell to cause the four heartless to float in the air, followed quickly by hurling his keyblade at them, utilising his Strike Raid ability, as all four of the shadows were destroyed simultaneously.

Etrius immediately got back in the fight, taking up Cat's target. He whacked Jose in the side, and as Jose stumbled back a little, Etrius finished with another Poison Edge. He huffed and huffed tiredly, his skin lightening a little. He wanted to stop, he really did. But if he did, Kuzco would be dragged away.

"Thunder!" Came a familiar squawk. It was Donald, and he had broken from the ice. And he still couldn't chill.
Electricity cracked as Etrius felt sharp static hurt his body. Grey smoke curled from his back as the spell abated. The smoke then turned dark and black, and grew larger. Etrius attacked Donald with a Sliding Dash, his skin dark as ever.
"How 'shocking' to know that that spell was enough to 'energize' me!" Etrius said as he attacked, smirking.
