Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Luna saw the Heartless appear right before her eyes. She wanted to fight the Heartless but she knew she also had protect the Mad Hatter and the March Hare as well. She felt torn between both choices. She turned toward Krowley and asked him,"What should we do? Fight the Heartless or protect those two?" She pointed at the two people behind the four keybarers. Luna saw Heartless coming fast and got to an offensive position and struck it down. She turned toward Krowley once more. "I suggest making a decision fast before we're all Heartless chow."

 

"Damn!" Etrius growled, as the 3 Callebreros took off. Etrius concentrated and took off after them. He fought his way through the brush, cloaked in smoke, and hacking at leaves and branches. He was not going to allow the emperor to get away!

 

Watching as the three dimwits ran away with the emperor, Ananta stopped to think. What could they do to impede their escape? Thinking back to the fight they just had, she made an audible "Oh!" and turned to her party members. "If they're running away, anybody that can use the Stop magic should use it! I'll aim for Donald, the others can aim for Jose and Panchito." she smirked, turning towards the direction the three birds ran towards. Seeing Donald in the distance, she held her keyblade out and yelled "Stop!" at him.
Hopefully this worked. If nobody else tried to or did the same, she'd go for the next of the three.

 

Glen's movements were getting more and more vicious now, having no sympathy for the heartless at all. Why would he? All they did was prey on people for sport. He spun in a 360 degree arc with Frolic Flame, taking out two Shadows in the process. He then turned and faced two more of the shadows. Was there really no end to them? He shrugged off the thought, there was only so many heartless that could be thrown at him, in theory. A wicked grin appeared on the young keyblade wielder's face. "Just keep cutting them down, again and again" he said quietly to himself. He lunged at the shadows in front of him, and with a quick one-two combo attack they were slain.

Flora looked at Karina, who had selflessly saved her. What's more, she wasn't mean about it either. She gave Flora a chance to attack the a shadows, and Flora took it, knowing fully well that Karina would rage if she didn't.She saw Karina get nicked. 'Oh no... She's hurt and its all my fault, if I had reacted, she wouldn't have had to save me and wouldn't have gotten hurt! I'm so useless!'

Flora saw a shadow coming and retaliated. She did the same to about four others. When would it be over?

 

Beuce was glad to see that Krowley had his back. As cocky as he was, allies made things easier. Although Beuce would never admit that out loud. With a swip of his keyblade, he deflected a seed back at one of the flower heartless, then yet another. "Huh...I'm actually pretty good at that...wonder why..." For some reason, the thought that it had something to do with demons came to mind. He was snapped out of it by a sharp pain in his back. A shadow had used a clawing attack from behind him. It didn't live long after that. Beuce let loose a combo on it. He was nearly hit by another, however he leaped to safety just in time. A swiftly executed strike raid put that heartless down, along with irritate a large body behind it. The thing began wildly flailing and jumping up and down. With only a slight warning, it began to charge Beuce. Not quite quick enough, the wielder took quite a heavy hit. He'd be feeling that in the morning, but he wasn't quite down for the count yet. Quickly recovering from the attack, he rolled behind it to counter. A heavy combo sent the large body flying across the are they were in. "Good god, lose some weight tubby!" He screamed at the heartless. "Here, let me help you burn a few calories." Following the horrid pun was a fire spell. The blazing orb raced across the grass and finished off its target.

Beuce allowed him self a brief chuckle at his pun. This time, he learned that when you get distracted, heartless sneak up behind you. An unfortunate shadow was impaled by his keyblade for attempting a pre-emptive stike. Heartless began to surround him, so etting out of the immediate thick of things was a good idea. He raced over to behind Krowley and summoned dumbo. Mounting the tiny elephant, Beuce issued the command to spray his foes with a stream of water from above. "Yes! Fly my pretty! Fly!"

 

Cat heard the Banditos call them honorable before they ran off into the jungle. She felt somewhat glad that they had earned their respect, but at the same time they were bandits, so it wasn't entirely a victory. As much as she enjoyed being away from Kuzco, she knew everyone else was going to insist that they should save him, but she still had to catch her breath. Almost as if on cue, Etrius rushed into the brush and Ananta attempted to cast spells on the birds. She took a few more moments to catch her breath at least and figured that now was as good a time as any to prove her mettle as a Keyblade wielder. She held her weapon firmly in one hand and threw it in the air, willing it to become a glider. She focused on the thought and when it came back down, it was a bright yellow. It almost looked like a hovercar of sorts, but the important thing was catching up to their targets fast. She hopped on and grabbed the handles before turning towards her comrades. "Anyone want a ride?" She figured they would be worn out from the fight, and an over-exhausted teammate was the last thing any of them needed now.

 

"Karina!" Flora called out. SHE rushed over to go help her ally. "Hey stupid!" She said to the Assault Rider, "You leave her alone! Why don't you pick on me for a change!" Hopefully Karina would take the chance to attack the distracted Heartless. Flora would be toast if she didnt. And not the good kind of toast either.

 

Base heard Krowley summon him to act. "Mystic at the ready." Not long after saying so, he dodged a barrage of spitted seeds being fired at him. He then acted as gardener by uprooting the planted heartless, finishing two off with Blizzard spells. "Anyone needs a Cure, be sure to ask!" He bit back his own pain from being bitten by one of the Heartless flowers. He swept the last three flowers in one quick blow, followed quickly by a lunge at the belly of a Large Body. Not surprisingly, to those more experienced with the obese beast, he was knocked several meters back headlong as his keyblade was useless against the monster's front. "Thunder!" He cried, and a quick burst of lightning took out not only the Large Body, but also killed off a few nearby shadows. "Any possible reasons why I was knocked away from that thing when I tried to hit it?" So far, Base had encountered Large Bodies, but when he had been he was always viciously outnumbered to the point he couldn't take on his foes alone; he always had to run from the masses. That was then, and this was in the now. No more running, but as a tactician, he always wanted to be two steps ahead of the special enemies that required a special strategy to take down. He looked around and shook his head as he went after a cluster of Shadows with melee attacks. He shook his head as he knew there were originally more Large Bodies than what remained, but he had failed to pay attention to how those ones were dealt with by the others. At least the Killer Plants were easy to figure out; the strategy with them, he found, was that they appeared rooted in the ground, and that’s where they fired their seed artillery bursts from. Once they were uprooted, they were momentarily dazed, but they would start biting since the fighter was close enough to its spiky jaws bonneted with yellow petals.

“Krowley, look out!” Base jumped in between his armoured comrade as a seed was fired at Krowley’s back. Base deflected the shot with a single, well-timed blow from his Keyblade, but he was immediately on his feet to strike down the perpetrator that was now turned to fire at the Mad Hatter. “These are the things that upset me!” He mimicked the Hatter’s odd voice as he brought his full power down upon the petalled head and forced it back into darkness.

As Kel continued to take out more of the basic shadow heartless, he looked around to see what was left that needed to be dealt with. Aside from the assault rider and the small swarm of heartless still surrounding them. Clearly the Assault Rider was going to be a problem, but if they turned all there attention towards it, then the shadows would attack while there back was turn. Some that Karina demonstrated perfectly. So instead of falling back to take care of bigger threat, he stood back and took down another 4 shadows.

 

Beuce didn't take much damage from atop his summon, due to most not being able to reach him. The few air-capable heartless that did manage to reach him were quickly dispatched by the keyblade. Jets of water rained down on the heartless below until the two people in the room crazier than Beuce began agitating the heartless again. With a groan, Beuce stopped the water and descended. He quickly laid waste to a few shadows around the pair with a well placed combo. Now that they had a moment to spare, he heaved the two madmen up onto the elephant. "Keep these two out of trouble." Dumbo nodded and flew into the air, carrying the hatter and hare with him. From aloft, Dumbo began using RapidFire to assist the party. Beuce, meanwhile, stomped out about 3 soldiers which went after him with two combos. His sights were now set on a large body. First came a strike raid, getting it injured enough to begin its berserker. Next, Beuce waited for the charge. He let it come to him, but stopped it dead in its tracks. There seemed to no longer be any ground to leave tracks in for the beast as it began floating. "You know, i dunno why i don't use gravity more. Seems pretty useful." A jump and a combo knocked the nearly-dead large body over to Base. Leaving it for him to easily finish off, the red-clad wielder went after one of the new plant heartless. He was trying to stay fairly agressive.

 

As the rest of the team fervently rushed forward in pursuit of the birds, Steel just calmly floated after them. He couldn't see why they were all in such a hurry: They were the ones who said they didn't like Kuzco. In his eyes, their efforts seemed hypocritical and frivolous. Then again, he had said he would take them to the keyhole, and they probably weren't going to let their morals drop on the snobby brats account. Oh well. If they got to far ahead, he would speed up a bit.

 

Glen swung his keyblade viciously at the shadows, taking them down one after the other. He had to finish the fight quickly as he was beginning to tire out a little, but he could not stop. He WOULD not stop. His passion for battle was equalled only by his desire for vengeance, so his keyblade acted as though it had a mind of its own, cutting down heartless left right and center.

Glen saw Karina defeat the Assault Rider. Well, there was absolutely no way he was going to let Karina show him up. He wanted to be as strong as he could possibly be, if he allowed Karina to defeat more heartless then how would he ever be stronger? He whirled into action once more, slashing in a 360 degree arc and taking out four shadow heartless in one strike, before turning to look at the last Assault Rider. "I hate to put a good horse down, but I don't have much of a choice" he said, showing a sense of grim humour. He struck out at the Assault Rider, hitting it in its center before he leaped back a little bit and put himself in a defensive stance, prepared for any counterattack that may come his way.
