Kross took his mage stance with a purpose, smiling with a set glare as the battle ensued. He watched as Clay rushed at him, the adrenaline pumping through him. He reflexivel brought his keyblade up as the man uppercutted, clashing with a metallic 'clink!' and sparks came out for their clash, his muscles straining to hold back the strong man. He enjoyed this kind of thing, battling an opponent to defeat him, sparring with a friend to gauge his skills, it didn't matter, he enjoyed it, it brought him a sense of peace knowing his friend could hold his own. He was good for a beginner, he was really good. He swung when Clay was distracted, but it looked like the clash was over. His brown eyes caught the sight of white light coming from his right. He turned and faced the light, eyes wide with curiousity."It looks like a portal of light..to a different world but this one feels different."He told Clay, it felt pure. He walked towards it and reached out, the warmth rising, and it looked like the light reacted when he touched it, warping and spreading through the area. He covered his eyes with an arm, it was bright!. The loud sound ememnating from the aura blocked out his screaming of Clay's name.

Etrius heard Cat's question and said, "I'll come with you. Eon doesn't seem to want to deal with me at the moment." He rubbed his cheek and walked over to Cat. He also grabbed hold of the lever, and pulled down, helping Cat.

(Apologies for the short post. Don't have too much to write about. Will make more of an effort.)

As the cat appeared above Beuce, a small piece of cake dropped into the wielder's hands. Beuce sunk his teeth into it, chewed, and swallowed it. It seemed as though everything around him was getting smaller bit by bit. A moment later, he realized he had grown. Now, the only thing in the room larger than Beuce's body was his ego. Since he was now towering above the card soldiers, it went without saying they proved to be no match for him. "Ready to fold?" Beuce taunted the card soldiers with an evil grin. The brave red sixes tried to take him on even in his enlarged state, however that proved to be a mistake on their part. Without even using his keyblade, he grabbed the pair by their heart-tipped spears and lifted them off the ground. "Look who's holding all the cards now." He chuckled, holding them up high and shaking them off of the weapons they desperatly clinged to for dear life.

With those two now taken out, he dropped the weapons and went after the eight of hearts and diamonds. They weren't nearly as brazen as their six counterparts. Timidly pointing their spears at the now giant, they slowly backed away. The wielder crouched down and swatted the diamond away via a swift backhand. That was it. The eight of hearts lost heart and began to run. Figuring he wouldn't be bothering anyone anymore, Beuce stood up straight and looked at his comrades also taking out various cards. If they had been playing poker with the cards defeated, most of the others would be filthy rich by now. He was thoroughly enjoying his new enlarged state. It was a shame it wouldn't last the whole time they were in this world. In fact, it'd likely wear off before the fight was through. But while he had this kind of power, Beuce intended on abusing the hell out of it.

OOC: Took out the 6 of hearts, 6 of diamonds, 8 of hearts, and the 8 of diamonds.

Cat nodded at Etrius's offer and they pulled the lever together, falling into what appeared to be some sort of ride. She looked down at what were likely tracks before hearing a disembodied announcer say, "Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times." Before she even had a chance to question it, they zoomed off into the pit. She screamed and desperately held on to the bar in front of them. As Eon and Ananta finally came into view, a lab coat was dropped onto each of them as well as a pair of black goggles. They kept her from seeing clearly, so when the coaster came to a grinding halt she was thrown out without any sense of direction, and landed face first onto the cold, hard floor. "Owww..." She got herself up slowly, taking off the goggles when she was on her knees and looking down at the coat she was now wearing. It seemed pretty snug, but she didn't want her own clothes getting dirty either. She undid the top two buttons and got onto her feet, seeing the two familiar faces in front of her. "This seems more like a theme park than a secret lab." She thought Kronk might have had some say in the... entrance to the lab, but she got back on track when she looked out and saw shelves full of glass vials. They appeared to be labeled with photographs -- which seemed a bit disorganized in her opinion -- and filled with liquids she'd rather not test. She looked back at her teammates and sighed. "Looks like we'll have to start looking for a cure." As much as she didn't want to help Kuzco, she'd be in the minority; though if she found some sort of 'goody two-shoes' potion, she'd have to be sure and snatch it in case of an emergency.

Glen stayed silent most of the time that Shang had spoken. He felt a little bit guilty that they had deceived the captain, but that didn't give him the right to dismiss the ones that had just saved his life. However, he felt that if he voiced his thoughts it would only cause trouble. He remained silent up until Shan-Yu appeared out of the snow. How he had survived that Glen would never know, but it didn't matter. The important thing was that he was headed for the emperor, and by the way that Mulan spoke of him he seemed rather important. He began running away from the area, before he came to a realization. He turned and looked back at the rest of the party. "Where's the imperial city again?" he asked sheepishly.

Eon looked over at Cat with a smile and then a glare at Etrius. So naive and self centered, Eon thought to himself. It was nice to see others join however. It would be important to find the cure of course. It really only mattered though if Steel and the Emperor would come down themselves. It had been over a week since the mission began, couldn't they just move on and grab the potion for the llama and head back up. Only time would tell.

Base was content to free-run through the chaos, being accustomed to using the battlefield as his own personal playground. He latched onto the handle of the Nine of Club’s axe and he swung on it forcefully to kick its wielder away from it. He tossed the axe to the ground and shouted “Thunder!” while the Club and a few of its suit (Eight, Seven, and Six, to be exact), took notice. In a rush, Nine lunged for his axe, while the sequential three heaved theirs into the air above their heads. A second later, and all four were dazed on the grass; knocked out cold. “My dear carded friends; it’s time to talk of other things! Of shoes and ships, and ceiling wax! Of cabbages and kings!” He lauded to the KO’d cards. “Now if you’re ready, dealt-out dears… we can begin the feed.” Soon after, Base whirled around just as the Five of Clubs brought an actual club down upon his head. “Forward, backward, inward, outward; Come and join the chase; Nothing could be drier; Than a jolly caucus race…” He sang in a stupor. “Backward, forward, outward, inward; Bottom to the top; Never a beginning; There can never be a stop.” He quickly returned to his senses, and faced the club.

“Well, it would seem this turned into a Nine to Five job.” Base bit his teeth and whipped his Unbound Keyblade to his side. “I’m giving you to the count of Five to run before I flush you out.” He was not counting on the card to obey his command, nor did he expect the threat to be taken seriously; still, the Five gave a noticeable shudder before he dropped his club and ran away screaming. Base lifted an eyebrow consciously at the curious circumstance, but his inner-feeling of success was momentarily depleted at the thought there was something far more intimidating behind him; his mood improved when he realized there was nothing worth noting or running away from behind him. “Well… I probably should be a man of my word…” Base readjusted his stature to full, unaware of the pink-and-purple-striped sitting atop his head with its grin expanded and its paws crossed. “One…” The Cheshire cat faded away. “Two… Three… Four… Five…” The Five of Clubs had disguised itself well amongst the indistinguishable seas of flat foes; to the point the target could not be readily found.

“Where are you?” He asked the empty air as his eyes scanned the “deck” in front of him. In his head, Maurice Ravel’s “Bolero” played boisterously as he readied himself to the hunt. What he did not realize was that instead of merely hearing the music in his hand, his very being was emanating the sound; his aura was softly playing the “Bolero” as he dashed between cards, looking for his own. “Five, Five, Five. No one clubs me over the head and gets away with it. Show your face, you coward.” The surrounding cards paid him no notice, curiously enough, but he could only guess that the Five was using them to hide among since they were standing so still. “This is turning into a headache. Five can’t hide forever.” He expected the flattitude of the cards to be used to the Fives advantage, so the Keyblade Wielder was surprised when he saw a black sticker fall to the grass; the point of origin had been the Five of Spades, but Base had seen the Five of Spades taken out by Krowley. Given now that the card was a Five of Clubs on one side and a Five of Spades on the other, it became obvious which was its true face value. Unfortunately, the Five realized its downfall before Base could make his way to the target. The Club picked up a nearby diamond shaped shield and charged off again out of Base’s view. Now, with no Five to protect, the six other decoy cards were ready to keep Base at bay; their own weapons brandished. Base sighed.

Steel had now been left with the three birds and the llama. Counting him, that was 5 people; two had to go at a time. This made for an interesting problem... With an interesting solution. "Umm... Am I the only one who sees this problem?" Kuzco asked rather harshly. "Who's staying behind?" He continued. "It's not gonna be me, I have to keep an eye on you people." He stated in a rather rude manner. Steel shrugged. "You go on ahead. I can down there on my own." Jose was somewhat surprised. "You are positive señor?" Steel nodded and insisted they be on their way. After a few moments and some glorious out takes with the "wrong lever", (which seemed to be pulled every to single time no matter how many times a person watched the procedure) Steel was alone. "Alright Kai' you can come out now." His cape slithered off of his neck and hovered over the floor. It rose up to form a black being of shadow with a few blue stains on it's back. (Think; xehanorts shadowy other (ansem's gaurdian) with legs and less prominent teeth.) "Pull the lever Kai!" Steel declared with a finger pointing into the air. Kai bowed, grabbed a lever, and pulled down. Quite suddenly, a trap door opened beneath Steel. He stood there over the gap with his finger still in the air: several moments of silence ensued. Finally, Steel looked down and noticed the pit beneath him. "Huh... It would seem as though you pulled the wrong lever." Steel wondered aloud. "Indeed it does sir, my mistake." Steel merely shrugged. Kai reached for the other lever and the two then went through the exact same experience as the others. However, when Steel reached the bottom, he was alone... And his outfit was different. Unlike the others, Steel wore a black lab coat(tapering into to dark threads at the bottom) and white goggles. He made his way for the potion table to begin his scheming.

"Ahhh, how shall I do it?" He wondered aloud. "I know!" He stated as his words took shape as blue silhouettes on a black background. "I'll have the time honed one kill the original, who will then become a time warped ghost wanting revenge on his killer! But when he learns he was the killer, he will kill himself again, causing a time loop that will ultimately break and weaken the black divinity! ...and then Chernabog will be as a flea before the forces of time!" He shouted. "Then I'll put that flea in a box, and I'll put that box in another box, and I'll mail that box to myself; and when it arrives..." Maniacal laughter escaped his throat. "I'll smash it with a hammer!" The vision ended showing the covered yet obviously pleased face of Steel. "It's brilliant, brilliant, BRILLIANT I tell you; genius I say!" In his excitement, he knocked over a glass beaker with blue liquid inside. The liquid spilled off the table and onto a flower which, in a puff of smoke, died instantly. Steel just stood their for a moment with his hands in the air. He then brought his hand to his chin and observed the flower. "You know..." He began with a look at the others. "...this seems familiar but... I can't place it."

"Oh no you don't!" Said the enormous Beuce as his eye caught the 5 of clubs fleeing from Base's grasp. The cards may have been able to bar the path of Base, but not Beuce. In his enlarged state, he could easily step over the barricade, and he did so. His foot "accidentally" stooped a bit lower and flattened the 10 of clubs where it stood. With a sprint, the 5 was easily caught. A bird's eye view helped keep track of the slippery card. There were about 14 meters between him and the card. Easily closed with a sprint. One heavy kick sent the card and the dirt it stood on flying and slapping against the wall. "Take that you son of a beuce!" The wielder yelled, as "Beuce" has apparently become the universal censor for swear words. He turned, Glaring at the only two remaining clubs. He readied his keyblade for the first and last use in this grown state. Holding it behind his head, he unleashed possibly the most deadly strike raid every witnessed. It sawed through the dirt like butter, sending the soil and grass flying in every direction.

An audiable squeal came from one of the cards shortly before impact. The blow was indeed a devastating one, as both cards were instantly downed and anything in the area came tumbling down with a loud crash ontop of them. "Clubs, down for the count." He said cockily and walked over to a rose bush. Placing his hand on one of the painted flowers, the effects of the cake began to wear off. The large wielder began to shrink back to his ordinary size, and broke the stem of the rose as he did so. "I could probably use this later." He murmered to himself, placing it in his back pocket. "Hey Base, you've been counting cards." He chuckled and wagged his right index finger. "Bad boy."

With some spades knocked down, Krowley set his sights on a new set of cards. The clubs had been knocked off and there were some hearts and diamonds within range. They waddled vigorously and toppled on top of one another trying to get in the queen's favor by defeating any of the party members. They worked for her out of fear instead of respect, and she ruthlessly loved it.

The seven, eight, and nine of spades charged forward along with the two and three of diamonds. Taking a change of direction, he dashed to the three of diamonds on the far left and isolated him before knocking him away with a combo. He continued slashing away with the keyblade, filling the MP recharge gauge to a decent length, while finishing off the card. With four, still blinding charging against him, he squatted down, preparing to rocket himself in the air against the other diamond; the second of the suit.

Waiting until it was close enough, he shot up into his aerial sweep, swinging his keyblade against it's paper thin exterior into a powerful air combo. Hacking and slashing away until it was finished off. Upon landing, he was greeted with some spear charges by the three hearts he had yet to take out. He had some above average defense, but the poking was not exactly lenient against such thin armor. Wishing to up his defense, he lifted his keyblade and cast Aero. His health was knocked down by almost a quarter, but he didn't want to heal. Not yet anyways.

With his spells cast and MP recharged from combos, he still managed to be left with 2 MP. He could take them out again with another Aqua splash, but he wanted to conserve his Magic for the 25 cards that were still flailing their weapons around. He took charge with a quick thrust against the seven of spades, knocking it back. Holding off the combo, he slashed at the eight and nine as well, damaging them all slowly instead of one at a time.

With enough hits, he managed to take down the seven and eight, while building up the MP charge gauge high enough to reach 3 MP. Only the nine of spades remained and would only take a few hits to take out. But even as it was, there were still plenty of cards to take out. They could use a good strength boost.

Lifting his keyblade high once more, a flash of light emitted from the tip. "Give me strength!" he called out. A red, green and blue orb emerged from the keyblade and phased into Panchito, Jose, and Donald; the three Caballeros! "Party it up amigos!" the rooster cried out as they ran and danced around the cards, increasing the atmosphere's energy for more critical bonuses for the party. Krowley could feel himself being empowered and with a final slash knocked out the nine of spades. He rolled back his shoulders and stared at Base and Beuce, having there only little duo technique of laughs and attacks. Feeling three would be a crowd, he left to find more cards to take out. Alice was still frightened and the Queen held no reason to cease her soldiers.

The light from the mirrored frame consumed both Kross and Clavis in a flash of radiance. The light blinded them for a few seconds until it slowly dimmed to reveal a new setting. They were at a base floor surrounded by mirrors and a long spiraling staircase that led far up above. There was an exit, but a magical seal crawled along the edges of the door, sealing out any heartless that would try to enter.

This new environment was magical indeed and it was still unclear as to where they were. The mirrors looked like water in their disoriented reflection of the boys. They had two choices; try and make their way back through the mirror, or climb the staircase and see where it would lead.

Luna ran her way through the card soldiers as she took down the 7, 9, and 10 of diamond. She turned back around and ran straight toward the 10 and 11 of diamond. "Why don't you guys just take the hint that you guys aren't a match for the four of us?" Luna had a scowl that had come across her face. Before she knew it a card had hit her on her right shoulder from behind. She fell to the floor grabbing her shoulder in pain.

Clay winced as the light began to fade as quickly as it came into existence. When he looked up, he could see his and Kross' reflections in the mirror, but it was distorted somehow, like settling water. After Clay had watched the mirror settle, he tried to touch the now smooth looking surface. Solid, he thought. It didn't budge. Clay noticed something else as well however. They were no longer in the Castle! They were in a room filled with mirrors and a big staircase. There was only one door, but something about it seemed.... impenetrable, Clay thought. There was light coming from around the edges of the door, and it seemed to be glazed over somehow. "Kross, where are we? What's with the mirrors? How did we get here? Why does the door loo-" Clay stopped himself, he had just started spewing out questions without thinking. "Sorry." he said to Kross, who was probably just as confused as him. "Let's start small. Can you check that door, and figure out where we are maybe?"

Swing to swing, Base removed the last of the Spades from the playing field; they saw dancing notes above their heads instead of stars after he was done with them. The last Deuce had his bell rung on the latest of the sprees Base endured. By then, he was tiring, and knew he was just about spent. "Cure!" He cast for Krowley instead, since he had seen the comrade struggle a bit more since a certain point of the lengthy battle. He was certain this was the most exhausting of all the battles the young Keyblade wielder had fought beside the armored friend in; he noticed just how he had to fight anything or overcome any obstacle without the individual who still held a bit of mystery to him. "This is for all the guidance, chief." He said of the spell before passing out flat on his back.

Beuce turned just in time to see Luna get struck by the 13 of hearts. Naturally, she clenched her shoulder in pain and was open for another attack. "Oh no you don't!" Beuce yelled as he tackled the card shortly before it took advantage of such an opening. With the 3 cabelleros out on the field, just two or three hits was enough to put the former king down. He stood and offered a hand to help Luna up. "Don't really know any healing magic yet, so i can't help you with that wound, but i'll cover you for the rest of the battle until we can rest if you need me to. There aren't many left." He said, looking at the remainder of the cards. They were all hearts. The three and four, and the nine through twelve. Three of the cards advanced cautiously, knowing that most of their soldiers had been decimated by these wielders.

Brandishing sweet memories, Beuce advanced on the lowest of the hearts' numbers. A jab from the three was ducked underneath and followed by a leg sweep, knocking it off balance. Next the four and nine came both at once. The white haired man weaved between the thrusts, carefully watching the points their spears headed toward. Finally an opening presented itself, and Beuce thruse his foot vertically into the groin of the nine. However, being a card, there was nothing there and it endured no more pain than any other place it could have been kicked. "Well that didn't go as well as i'd hoped...." He said shortly before one of the spears managed to stab him in the knee. it buckled beneath him as he winced in pain. "Well at least it's not an arrow huh? I'm too young to retire." Tucking his head down, he rolled beneath a spear thrust and between the card's legs. With his key-like sword pointed skyward, bolts of electricity came raining down. "Ooooh! You've been thunderstruck!" He sang. The nine was down, but the four endured it and the three had gotten up by this point.

"En card!" He called to the two, leading them towards him. Not only were they going after Beuce, but their attention was drawn away from Luna. Beuce raised his keyblade to the side and blocked a horizontal swing, creating an opening. A quick combo was dealt to the three, and a headbut to the four. Nearly down, Beuce jumped backwards and tossed a well placed strike raid to finish them off, although the landing caused his knee some pain. "Okay, look, other three cards. We're down one member. You're down 49. Do the math, i don't think you'll be winning this but hey, if you want to come at us, be my guest."

Kross, felt the heat of the light fade and deemed it safe to open his eyes and removed his arm from his face, staring straight into a mirror. He stepped back, startled at this and glanced around. He saw a staircase to his left, eyes wide with curiosity. He could spot the fetish on the base of the stairs, one held a design of a wizard's hat and the other held a crescent moon design, something he recognized. He then looked at Clay, then regarded the door that had a shining lavender glaze over it. He went over and tapped it with his finger, his expression grimace before a stepped back."It's a barrier, and a very strong one too."He looked at the staircase."Whoever takes residence here wants us to go up."His serious expression faded to a bright grin."Come on!"He said to Clay and hurried, briskly running up the stairs, same ole energetic Kross

Krowley felt a burst of rejuvenation from Base's cure. He nodded to the mystic and continued to what little card soldiers remained. There were only 3 left, actually. The ten, eleven, and twelve of hearts. They held their spears and held firm their ground. For a fate worse than being knocked out by blades, is having your head chopped off by one. "For the Queen!" the ten yelled out.
"For the Queen!" the eleven and twelve replied in unison. Holding their spears like jousts, they gave a charging waddle against Krowley, who had both full health and a wind barrier that halved damage. He was almost sympathetic for these poor cards. They didn't seem to want to be here more than he did. Not wanting to do anything fancy, he figure he should end it quickly and end any stressful suffering they might have been put through.

He guarded all three of their charges and began to flail away with the keyblade. Using some quick fencing maneuvers, he executed his combos and put the poor suffering cards to rest, knocking them out and watching each one float to the floor, like a sheet of paper.

The Queen of Hearts angrily pounded her gavel. "Unacceptable! Off with their heads!" Breathing heavily, she took he time to look around and found that all her henchmen had been knocked down and there was no one for her to command. The only follower left was the White Rabbit, who was hiding beneath a podium. "You there! Protect your Queen!" she commanded. The white rabbit timidly looked up at the Alice and the four party members. He was stunned and didn't wish to poke his head out. He didn't have to, as another dark portal appeared above the queen's judge throne. "Don't let them take my heart!" she cried out, fleeing from her seat. She jumped under the podium with the White Rabbit and looked shy over the counter top to see the horse rider emerge from the darkness. This was the first time they had seen him fully aside from the quick flashes from earlier. The man wore all black clothing, including boots and a cape. Even his horse was black. But the most chocking thing about him, was his lack of head. The horseman had no head to be seen, but continued his taunting laughs.

He charged forwards, blasting back the keybladers and took the cage Alice was trapped in. He cackled and fled deep into the forest. The girl they were protecting was taken from them in one fell swoop. Who was this person and what did he want with Alice?

The Queen was now stunned and continue spouting; "Off! Off with his head!"
"But your majesty, he has no head to... behead!" the White rabbit added.

Ananta stood to the side. A little distant due to the events before falling down to this place. She stood there and examined the whole laboratory. "Everything is so crude...yet somehow she can create concoctions such as the one to chance Kuzco...?" she thought. Walking towards the table with beakers upon beakers on it, she lifted a few. Recognizing some of the chemicals here, as well as some herbs, she sat down what she was holding and looked towards everyone. "Whatever you do, don't touch any of these. Most are dangerous!" she called.

    ~MISSION COMPLETE~
    Cat leveled up! (11)
    Eon leveled up! (17)

Kuzco rushed along the table, ignoring Ananta's warning. "Come on, come on, where is it? Where is it!? It has to be one of these..." He began clumsily fiddling with each beaker, looking at the small shadowed outline of each animal. "Lions, tigers, bears..." He kept rummaging past each bottle and froze in his tracks as a voice appeared from behind him.

"Looking for this?" In her hand, Yzma was shown, stepping from the shadows, and holding the human imprinted potion. She held a very smug look on her face, knowing she had all the cards. "Hey, we don't want any trouble! Juz hand over la potion and we won't need to get violent!" Panshito held up both pistols, with Jose and Donald at the ready.

"Great, traitors. Just what I need. Why are you three even against me! The kingdom is fine! Better than fine! Since Kuzco's been gone no one's complaining anymore."
"Well that's kind of because you uhhh, went and enslaved them all..." Kronk interjected.
"Kraank!!! They don't need to know that."
"Plus you know you don't even offer them dental, and the food plan is-"
Yzma planted her hand over her forehead. "Kronk. We're going to kill them anyway. They don't need to know." She tossed him a knife while she turned back to Kuzco. "Well, back to business."

Kuzco quivered with his llama neck down. "Okay, I admit it. Maybe I wasn't as nice as I should have been. But, Yzma, do you really want to kill me?"
Yzma grinned. "Just think of it as you're being let go... that your life's going in a different direction... that your body's part of a permanent outplacement."
Still fixated on the knife, Kronk looked up. "Hey, that's kind of like what he said to you when you got fired. "
Once again, Yzma sighed. "I know. It's called a cruel irony... like my dependence on you." She tapped her fingertips together menacingly and called back to Kronk. "Okay. Finish them off." She turned back to Kronk again talking to his shoulders.
"Well, Yzma just tossed me this knife and asked me to, you know, take them out. And then this guy popped up and then we waited for you, and quite honestly..."
Yzma pointed back to him with a hysterical look. Was... was he really doing this now?
"Kronk! Why did I think you could do this? This one simple thing. It's like I'm talking to a monkey. A really, really big stupid monkey named Kronk! And do you want to know something else? I've never liked your spinach puffs."
At that moment, the tall henchman's heart broke as he clutched his heart.
"Never!" she ended. She moved a step forward and pushed her heel against two booby trapped stones that caused holes to appear beneath Kronk, Panchito, Jose and Donald, causing them all to cry out as they fell far down below. Yzma looked pretty surprised.

"Funny. That was only supposed to work for one of them. Oh well, better hurry this along. I'm expecting company you know. She cackled as she stepped on another stone, causing a giant machine to rise up from beneath her.

Steel chuckled. It was funny to watch his comrades be transformed into seemingly random animals. He wondered what he would be turned into, but... no potion came his way... Slightly peeved, Steel returned his attention to the battle. The machine cannon apparently wasn't a viable target, so he summoned Stroke of Midnight and sent several rapid thrust toward Yzma. "I must commend you, Science is fun." He said to her.
