Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Beuce looked pleasantly surprised that a girl had helped him instead of ripping his lungs out with her teeth. He cupped his hands into a heart shape at Luna as a gesture of thanks "Thanks luna <3" after somehow speaking a heart shape, Beuce leaped back, away from the flying enemy. It wouldn't be too much longer until he was able to use his limit break. For the moment, they needed a little insanity in this fight. "Power!" he called, raising his keyblade into the air to call upon the cheshire cat. "Come on Beucey needs some cake!"

 

Glen grinned slightly as Shan-Yu approached him. Now, here was a challenge! The keyblade wielder nimbly dodged the first strike, he blocked the second strike with his keyblade. "HA, you're too slow, how about you just-" THWACK!
Glen got hit right in the face with Shan-Yu's sword, thankfully due to videogame logic his head wasn't sliced open, but it was enough of an impact to knock him around. He fell onto his back and simply lay there as small stars began circling around his head. "Hey guys...what do these stars mean? Guys? Guuuuuuuys" he called, and then simply fell unconscious.

Sighing deeply, Ananta could only question why she was always hit. Drinking the potion Steel gave her, she laughed a little. " Since I am this monster, I may as well attack you, you old hag!" she exclaimed, rushing towards Yzma to perform a combo.

 

Cat saw another potion come towards her and readied herself for another turtle shell, but this time she turned into a bird -- which was pretty ironic given their current situation. Ananta was an octopus and Eon was a rabbit, and she couldn't help but wonder why it was always Ananta or a combination of the three of them. Still, there was no helping it. Ananta struck Yzma with an eight hit combo and Cat swooped in -- literally -- to hit her with an attack of her own. She flew close and managed to get a single hit in.

 

Eon wanted to cure Ananta but she already had been thanks to Steel. Nothing else to do then attack. Getting 3 hits in even at half damage was better than normal. There was combo to be added in as well as possible critical hits. Eon attacked with his Kingdom Key.

 

Seriously, what kind of crap luck did they have. Now that Glen had collapsed it was clear that this was going to be difficult. So he decided to use his Phoenix Down on him. "Try not to get knocked down again." He said to Glen.

 

Glen sat up and blinked twice. One moment, he had been seeing stars, the next he had had some potion thing thrown at his unconscious body. Regardless of the fact that the phoenix down had revived him, his back was still aching; having a glass bottle thrown at him had reeeeeeally hurt. He rubbed his back slightly as he stood up. "I appreciate the help, but next time I think just giving me the damn thing will do instead of throwing it at me" Glen said.

Now was not the time to focus on his injuries though, not while Shan-Yu was still standing, not while Mulan's world was in danger. He didn't like Mulan, and he felt no obligation to help her, but he wasn't going to stand by and let someone threaten someone else's life. Where there was danger, he would stop it and not let someone else do it. He remembered the last time he had let someone else do that. The last time had been when his father had gone to stop the heartless attacking Aatarsilu, and that had also been the last time he had seen his father alive.

Glaring at Shan-Yu now, Glen raised his keyblade. Maybe it wasn't the smartest idea to charge head-on towards Shan-Yu, maybe it would wind up in his death or at least being knocked out again, but it was something that Glen felt he needed to do. He had to stop Shan-Yu, no matter the cost. He ran over to Shan-Yu and immediately his keyblade began releasing flames that flowed around its shape, flames that would sear Glen's enemies. The keyblade wielder swung his keyblade in a mighty arc aimed for Shan-Yu's skull, utilising his Flame Strike ability with all the strength of a raging fire.

 

"Aw yeah here we go-...wait, why is everything else getting bigger? No! NOOO!" Beuce screamed, his voice growing continuously high-pitched as he shrunk. He now looked at everything else towering over him. He was tiny. Rage filled him as he began screaming at the Cheshire. "CHESHIRE YOU LITTLE [BEEP] I'M GOING TO TEAR OFF YOUR [BEEP] AND SHOVE THEM RIGHT UP YOUR [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] AND THEN [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] ON YOUR [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] WITH [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] IN THE [BEEP] [BEEP] AND [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] YOUR [BEEP] [BEEP] [BEEP] SO THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO [BEEP] SIDEWAYS!" There was a slight pause of a few seconds "[BEEP]" Now that his squeaky rage was done with, he looked up at a now seemingly enormous jabberwocky. "...hi the- *lightning'd*"

 

The first step of Steels strategy could now begin. He reached into his pack and pulled out an ether. He held the bottle over his head and crushed it in his hand. A blue mist sank down and enveloped him. He felt the magic energy course through his veins; restoring his magic reserves. He brought down his glowing blue fist and watched the light fade from it. He was now prepared to end this.

 

Etrius saw everyone's animal forms vanish and knew immediately that Yzma was going to attack again. So far, he had been really lucky. The cannon only fired on him once, and he never turned into an animal once. But his luck can always run out. Among the rest of the fighters, he by far was the weakest in terms of health, and he had no intention of using his last potion. He kept his Keyblade in a backwards manner, but was tensed for a dodge. He would wait for an opening.

Seeing as how Glen was still standing after that last attack, Kel figured that he would be able to last a little bit longer. So instead of healing him he decided to attack with one of his own skills. Grasping his keyblade by the chain, he spun it around a few time before tossing it like a boomerang at Shang-Yu.

 

Glen flinched as the blade of Shan-Yu's struck him. It did indeed hurt a lot, but was it enough to stop Glen? Not even close. Fiery determination was flowing throughout Glen's veins, fuelled more by the thrill of battle. He would not let up on attacking Shan-Yu, even if it got him killed, and there was no way he was going to give up now. "You're the worst kind of person, Shan-Yu! You prey on the weaker people. Is that a sign of strength? No way! It's the sign.." he began to say. He leaned back and spun his keyblade once, just to remind himself that it was there. "Of a coward!" the wielder shouted as he quickly lunged forward and hurled his keyblade at Shan-Yu, strike raid-style.

Frolic Flame spun around and around through the air, heading right for Shan-Yu. As it got closer, it began spinning faster and faster, until the point it span straight into Shan-Yu. The keyblade then ricocheted back to Glen, who caught it mid-air and threw it back at Shan-Yu again. He repeated this motion another two times before the ability itself stopped. Though the attack had finished, Glen had hopes that it would help with stopping the hun. He had no way to be sure, and so he began thinking of the next move he could possibly make as he waited for Shan-Yu to make his move.

 

The anger within was hot. It was like fire and was swirling within Ananta. She stood there, gripping her keyblade. With knuckles turning white, Ananta glared up at Yzma. On the ground rested a piece of her hair. It must have fallen off sometime between getting hit and transforming into an animal. Her eyes had a glowing green sheen to them as she jumped into the air and glided towards Yzma. Striking the old which as hard as she can, she used her limit. Sliding to a stop past the old hag, she stood up and adjusted her hair.

If it wasn't obvious, she performed her limit, FLIGHT OF THE MYSTIC.

 

Promptly following the shock, Base quickly looked around for a trace of his missing comrade, Beuce. He took a step to the side, unwittingly avoiding the horrible reality of squishing Beuce to death. He avoided killing Beuce not because his step missed, but, as his foot dropped down on Beuce, the tiny Keyblader was saved by a happenstance; a gap in the tracks on his own shoes. It was true, Base was feeling weaker with each Vorpal blast, but he felt like his own lightning had really down a number on the winged foe; he had to be as useful as possible. "Take a hint!" Base cast Thunder magic yet again on the foe.

 

Glen saw Shan-Yu tense up as though he was going to attack. He, too, tensed up as he prepared for the strike. The strike that would probably hit him with all the combined fury of the huns, coming at him again and again because for some reason Shan-Yu seemed to hate him. "Come on, give me your best shot!" he yelled out, attempting to taunt the ferocious warrior into doing a clumsy and flaw-filled attack due to the aggression created from the taunt, but it did not work.

Shan-Yu leaped over to Kel and used his aerial finish ability, and boy did it look like it hurt. Five hits from Shan-Yu...he felt a lot of pain from just one, how would Kel survive five of them? His willpower was impressive though, as Kel stood up after the brutal attack. "Hang in there Kel, we'll bring this guy down" he encouraged. He then came to a realization. Shan-Yu hadn't attacked him.

Shan-Yu had left him alone.

Glen breathed a sigh of relief. So the brutal onslaught was over, he was safe for the time being, which meant he could finish off Shan-Yu. Still, something didn't sit quite right. After so much effort to take him out, why had Shan-Yu stopped? His question was answered almost immediately as a small shadow descended on top of him. Reluctantly, Glen looked up in time to see a small bird hovering in the air above him, and it looked kind of pissed. But how much damage could a small bird do?

In the span of about five seconds, all fears Glen had of birds were confirmed as the small bird shot at him and scratched at him with its talons. Glen waved his keyblade above his head, attempting to hit the bird, and succeeded in driving it away. "TAKE THAT YOU STUPID BIRD" he yelled out. This was a poor choice, as it encouraged Hayabusa to swoop back down and hit him in the neck with its full body weight, somehow knocking Glen out. As the last bit of consciousness was leaving him, Glen pointed at Kel. "Kel...please..this time...just gently give me a damn potion..if anything" he said as he collapsed on the ground.

 

After that last attack from Shang-Yu, Kel was feeling pretty hurt again. Still call it sheer will power, determination or any combination of the two, Kel managed to continue to stand ready to fight. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said about Glen, who yet again was defeated. If only I had another healing item. The only thing he could do right now was to either heal himself or go in for another attack. If he healed himself, then that was another lost attack, something that they couldn't afford to waste. As for attacking, unless his luck was good he would most likely only get one more attack in.

The more he thought about it, the clearer his only option became. Kel's plan was to go in for another attack and bet everything else on Karina. "Ignore the bird, this is our best chance to take Shang-Yu down!" He called out in Karina's direction. All that was left was to make his possible final attack. So gripping his keyblade as tight as he could, he charged at Shang-Yu before striking him with everything that he could muster. Hopefully it would be enough to aid in finishing this.
