Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Hearing Etrius' responses, Luna turned back and saw Etrius charging toward her once more. She had no time to dodge the attack. Before she even blinked, she got rammed across the area crashing into the entrance of the Land of Departure. Her body dropped to the floor, landing on her stomach. "This needs to stop Etrius!" She called out to him lifting her head up. "What could you possible gain from this!? This fight is pointless! Whether I choose to ask people for help, trust, or befriend is up to me! You don't make the decisions for me!! Got it?!" An expression of anger appeared on her face as well as her tone of voice.

 

As Kross tried to stop the two, Ananta had begun to step back. Karina's leg swept under Ananta's as she tumbled backwards. Blood in her mouth and on her lips, she stood up. The crystal around her neck was darker than before and you could easily tell that Ananta was not finished yet. However, she turned around towards the castle behind her. Her back to Karina, she dusted herself off. Kneeling down, she held her crystal and prayed. "Speed." she spoke, as the crystal caused her to have a slight aura. Looking at Karina, she gave her a smirk. "You're stronger than I thought. Unfortunately, I need to go stop Etrius before he does something horrible. I'll be back." she said, running off towards the castle.

 

Now that Ananta had run off he was certain that Karina wouldn't chase after her. Though whether or not she would still be in a mood was up to question. Since there was no way for sure to for sure what she would do, Kel decided to stick around and see. Still he couldn't get Ananta's words out of his head. What did she mean by Etrius doing something horrible?

 

Beuce set down his fork having finished his cake when he realized everyone was gone...Wow. He must have had the attention span of a rodent, a really stupid rodent at that. He pushed away from the table and got up. Now what was he supposed to do? Nothing else to do but walk around. He strolled casually down the halls of the castle whistling shoot to thrill to himself. Finally he walked through the ungodly over-sized doors he somehow opened and saw Luna laying on her stomach with Etrius attacking her. With an unchanging cocky smile that would have gone well with a shrug, he walked toward Etrius, stepping over Luna. "Shoot to thrill, Play to kill. Too many women, too many pills." He sang. "Shoot to thrill, Play to kill. Got my gun at the ready gonna fire at will. Haha, but seriously though what's going on here?" He asked, cutting out of the song.

 

As Etrius crashed into Luna, her comment only made him feel worse. He stood over her, breathing angrily under his mask, making him sound inhuman. He suddenly got a strange impulse.
"Kill her."
Etrius hesitated, and instantly strained.
"Do it! You know you want to!" The thought urged.
"I can't..." Etrius thought back.
"Then I'll do it myself." Came the answer.
Etrius felt his Keyblade arm raise by itself. He instantly strained to keep it from moving, but it was futile. It stood raised, ready to strike Luna down. Then, the arm poised to strike down.
"GRRRRAAAAAAGGGH!" Etrius cried.
A hard clank was heard. Etrius retracted his arm from his Keyblade, and took a strained step back. His Keyblade was about an inch away from Luna's face.
Etrius lowered his head. His armor cracked, and it shattered off of him, revealing him with his hood raised and his eyes hidden. His skin wasn't tinted, nor was there any darkness erupting from his shoulders. He turned and looked at the sky.
"They say that the eyes are the windows to a person's soul." Etrius said. His voice was calm, sad even. "Tell me Luna; what do you see when you look in my eyes?" Etrius had turned back to the fallen Luna, his eyes open and red. The eyes glared at her from under the hood. "You answer that question to yourself. You're right, you're not worth fighting for." Etrius tone had turned poisonous. "Go ahead and leave. If Krowley or Yen Sid finds out anything about this, and asks to find you, I won't oblige. So fine, just leave, if that's what you wanna do." He closed his eyes a second time, then he opened them again, his eyes burning with anger and distress, snarling, "JUST LEAVE!!!!" Etrius turned abruptly, and let out a cough that sounded between a laugh and a hard sob. He then walk calmly and slowly away from Luna. As Etrius walked away, Etrius purposely shoved his shoulder against Ananta's obviously coming to break the fight.
"I'm not a dog to restrain, so leave me alone!" He growled at her, as he walked to the summit. He never picked up his Keyblade, and it disappeared in a dark cloud of smoke.

 

Kross watched Ananta speed off from the fight. He was just as concerned for her as he was everyone else. He heard Karina's snip and he turned his head, brown eyes set on her. His brows furrowed,considering her words for a moment before he summoned his keyblade, twitterpated. He twirled his keyblade and rose it into the air. A green light surrounded Karina's form, mending any cuts accelerating any healing she was in the process of. "Heal!"
He exclaimed, casting Cure on Karina. He looked at her for a long moment. He turned and took his leave, not having anything to say to her. the haori around his waist flapped gracefully behind him, he had done his work here, no reason to stay further.

 

Ananta skidded to a halt in the main room. Right in front of Etrius. Looking at him with the same look she gave Karina, she was ready for anything. Instead, he walked away to who knows where. Instead of staying around, however, Ananta grabbed her crystal and rushed off towards where she thinks Steel could be. Once she arrives, she stops right in front of him.

 

Eon was locked in a ball as Ananta and Karina were fighting. Why did they have to fight? Why couldn't everyone just settle things peacefully, without the need for violence. He wanted to step in and stop the two, but fear overwhelmed him to do so. It wasn't until Ananta ran off to stop Etrius of something. Probably another idiotic plot made by him. He managed to get off the ground and run over to Karina who looked like she was about to collapse. "Cure!" He yelled as his Keyblade spawned and the rays of green herbal light surrounded Karina's body. "Karina...." He sighed in sadness.

 

Luna laid there in silence as she watched Etrius storm off. Luna got up on one knee summoning her keyblade casting Cure on herself. She stood up starting to walk toward Etrius to clear up any misunderstandings. Why would he think that I'm trying to leave? Once I start something, I see it to the finish. Luna started to ponder that thought as she walked toward Etrius.

 

Steel continued to look out on the balcony, and was not at all surprised when Ananta appeared in front of him. He did however want to make one thing known. "You realize "Right in front of me" is in mid air, right?" He had a feeling she didn't.

 

Flora stepped back into the kitchen, shaking her head. "Man, such kids... Sorry about that, Cat. I had to go stop a fight. How's the food coming?"

 

Krosscame back into the kitchen, despite the conflicts, he seemed like his old cheerful self again, maybe it was because he helped someone. He went into the dining room and saw the others."Flora! How are you? Is that a friend of yours?"He asked, indicating Cat.

 

Ananta nodded. She had cast Aero on herself which, luckily, had given her a bit of time to float there. However, she landed back onto the balcony soon enough. Standing there for a moment, she shook all over. "Steel...I need your help." she asked him. "My crystal is dark and I almost hurt Karina and Etrius..." she spoke, voice shaking.

 

Etrius headed to the Summit area, ignoring anyone he would pass. Luna could've helped him with his problem. He reached the summit. At the very edge was what looked like a broken cobblestone bridge. He walked toward the edge, and sat on the bridge, looking outward to the sky. He made a quick recap of what he been through so far. First, he arrived at LoD, put his foot in his mouth when meeting Luna and Steel, trained with, sparred, and defeated Luna, got transported to the Castle of Dreams, took a little dark nap, arrived at the Kingdom of the Sun, saved a despicable/egotistical llama emperor's position as ruler from a megalomaniacal old hag/witch, came back to LoD only to find out that his own dark powers were now beginning to reject his own body, Sparred and defeated Kross, healed Kross from poisoning, gave Karina a piece of his mind, and finally fought to stop Luna, nearly killing her in the process. In short, Everything had been one whirlwind after another.

Etrius sighed, and closed his eyes, and began to do something he rarely did after he was forced to leave his home: meditation.
In this sense, his type of meditation wasn't your average forceful look-at-the-pendulum-swing-esque hypnotism. The type of hypnotism that Etrius learned was the kind where you look into your own self and detach yourself from consciousness. In a way, Etrius would be half-asleep, and half-awake. The reason why he did this was simple. Something had nearly forced Etrius to kill Luna, even though he hesitated to do so. The only way to do this is to dive to his own heart and figure out what was up. There were normally other ways to do this, such as using the Keyblade to enter a person's heart or use the Keyblade on yourself and unlock your own heart from your body. But Etrius wasn't planning on doing anything rash. He concentrated silently.
"Why in the world would I gain the instinct to kill a fellow teammate? How did I lose control?" Etrius thought as he slowed his breath and calmed down. "More importantly, who or what was causing me to do such actions?"

 

Luna continued to ponder over Etrius' previous statement after he stormed off. She wanted to clear any misunderstandings that might have come up. Why would Etrius think I'm leaving? All I was trying to say was that I needed to be by myself for a bit here. I just needed to clear my head, that's all. After a couple minutes of searching for Etrius, Luna finally found him and called out to him. "Hey! Etrius!" Luna started to walk up to him as she called out out him.

OOC: Super sorry about not posting in so long. School is a pain, but now I've got two weeks free so it shouldn't happen again anytime soon.

Cat heard the screams and saw Flora run into the other room. "Hey, wait for me!" She saw Flora yelling at Ananta, and though her argument seemed childish, Ananta had been acting weird since her Keyblade had that mess up. She was curious about it, but she could tell that she just needed some time alone. She saw the other girl, Karina, run outside and felt compelled to follow her.

Once she was outside, she saw that all of the training dummies had been demolished and one of the others -- Karina'd called him Kel -- had tried talking some sense into her. Eon showed up as well, but suddenly Ananta jumped from somewhere higher up and challenged her to a spar. It all seemed ridiculous, but there was no helping it. People came out to try and calm them down left and right, and she figured it would be best to avoid getting on either of their bad sides.

She went back to the kitchen and tasted her food. She poured the water out of the pot and heard Flora come from behind. "Man, such kids... Sorry about that, Cat. I had to go stop a fight. How's the food coming?" She smiled. "It's done. You want some?" As she served herself a plate of the pasta, another wielder came in. "Flora! How are you? Is that a friend of yours?"
"Yeah, I'm a friend of Flora's. The name's Cat." She turned to him and smiled. "I don't think I've seen you around before. Sorry about all the... commotion around here. It wasn't like this last time I was here." She put her plate on the table and grabber another two dishes. "You hungry? There's plenty to go around, and I doubt I could eat all of this by myself."

Etrius almost never heard Luna if she hasn't found him. He reopened his eyes in short annoyance. "Look Luna," Etrius said quietly, "If you meant to leave, why are you bothering me? I nearly killed you out of lack of control. And I'm trying to find out why."
"Wait." Etrius thought, "I shouldn't send her away. I should find the reason why she's here."
"Sorry Luna," Etrius said, rebuking, "I'm just confused and afraid. Last time you tried to leave, you were still wounded and I feared that you were going back to your homeworld on your own. And now, some unknown force had just nearly forced me to kill you.
Can you tell me why you tried to leave?"

Luna listened as Etrius spoke. "Leave? Why would I leave now?" An expression of confusion loomed over her face as she explained. "I'm not leaving for Celestial City anytime soon. I have to finish what I started here and what I was sent here to do." Luna walked over next to Etrius. "The wounds from before, they don't really bother me that much. You learn how to not feel physical pain after awhile." Luna looked out toward the sky as she continued to explain. "The only reasons I was trying to get away from you because one: I needed to contact the celestial gods for the King, Queen, Prince, and Princess of Celestial city, and two: I wanted to clear my mind of some things."
