Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Cat turned around, shocked to see Etrius after what had happened. She must not have noticed him while she was going after Flynn. Still, he was here now and she was willing to overlook his little remark. She did wonder how he got out of that mess back at the Land of Departure, or even who may have helped him, but right now there were more... pressing matters at hand.

 

Immediately after Etrius' remark, Glen slowly turned to look at him. He had been called childish, for being friendly. For a brief second, Glen's hand involuntarily raised, preparing to backhand Etrius for that simple remark, but then he did something he rarely did; he thought about the consequences of his actions. Causing such trouble with someone would probably be not a very good idea, so he stayed his hand for the moment.

Glen then turned and looked at the castle once more. He could certainly see why Flynn liked the idea of the castle, living in a castle seemed fun. A sly smirk appeared on his face as he thought of making another comment about Cat's reaction to Flynn, but he held his tongue. There would be plenty of time, he was sure of that.

 

Luna pushed away Steel's hand. "I don't need any help. I'm fine" She stood up by herself, the bandages on her shoulder came out of her sleeve as the blood seeped through her shirt. Luna continued to look at her surrounding. She looked toward Krowley once more. "What do you suppose we do? By the look of things, it appears that we are in dungeon."

Watching the other two fly off, Ananta sighed and looked at the holograms in front of her. Not wanting to go to the same world as Karina, she decided on heading to this 'Camelot' she saw Beuce get so happy about. Standing up, she headed outside and watched as others began to rocket off. Tossing her keyblade up, she jumped into the ball of light and appeared on her keyglider. Luckily, it wasn't as hideous as the others. It just changed colors instead of turning into some type of llama monstrosity. Chuckling to herself, she locked in the coordinates for Camelot and zipped off.

As she floated through the lanes between, she gripped the glider and thought about who else would be there. Hopefully, she would get a chance at closing this worlds keyhole. She didn't want to think about what would happen if she lost yet another chance at closing the keyhole. Seeing the end of the lane, she readied herself to enter her next world.

Popping out, she looked down in time to see a strange boy crash into a sword in a stone. The sword didn't budge at all, even from the force of the boy crashing into it. Wincing as he hit it, she glided down gracefully. Releasing her glider, she floated down to the others. Her keyblade armor dissipated off of her, starting from her feet, to reveal her regular clothes underneath as she landed. Shaking her head afterwards, Ananta leaned on one foot and placed a hand on her hip. Listening to the boys, she grew curious about this sword. "So it's a stuck sword, eh?" she chuckled. Stepping towards the sword, she began to examine it thoroughly.

Crackling her knuckles, she gripped the sword tightly and attempted to pull it out of the rock. Gritting her teeth, she tried so hard. In the end, she stood back, sweating. In the process, she had bitten her lip, thus causing a bit of blood to drip out of her lip. Nothing too serious. Wiping it away, she knelt and prayed to her crystal. It shone brightly, enveloping Ananta in a light. Standing up, she walked towards the sword with immense muscles and a stern look across her face. Grasping the hilt, she pulled with great strength. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" she screamed. Gravel around her began to float like in an anime when a hero is building up power. Unfortunately, this isn't an anime. Thus Ananta only managed to waste her temporary strength. Falling to her knees, she gasped for air. "I can't do it." she admitted.

 

Beuce raised an eyebrow at Ananta. If she was going to go Super Saiyan, she could at least have done it right and become blonde when she did it. Psh. Bloody reference amateurs. Oh god, i just said bloody. I'm becoming glen eh? NO NOT HER TOO! QUICK! DIALOGUE BEFORE I DO ANYTHING ELSE! "Okay, well i think it's safe to assume that crappily going Super Saiyan and turning into Mananta is not one of the provisions. However, that is what i was going to try next so thanks for saving me the trouble. Hmm...Man i hope there isn't like a five hour story telling party or something. That would be awful. Unless i'm telling the stories. I tell awesome stories." That was where he stopped talking. He figured it probably wouldn't be too good for his health if he continued with "And mine aren't the same back story as Atlantis. Aion maybe, but not Atlantis." Beuce wasn't known for smart moves, but that was definitely one of his better ones.

 

Base nodded. "Hop on." In little to no time, they had lifted off from the ground and approached the hologram of Beast's Castle. They zoomed straight through the pathway between of inner space- white streaks of light soared past them as they were travelling at a mind-boggling velocity-, only to find themselves flying in confined spaces. In a dank dungeon, Base had to swerve to avoid a flying buttress at the top of the low ceiling. He'd made a terrible mistake in dashing straight in; he'd always been falling into the previous worlds, so he figured, in the back of his head, he'd need something to fly on this time. He, indeed, did get his opportunity to fall, but only when a low wooden platform in the middle, suspended by some rope, caught him in the middle and sent both D'daear and him flying off the back of the glider. The glider itself crashed loudly into some wooden crate and barrels in a corner while the Keyblading pair hit the stone floor with a metallic clang.

 

D'daear happily nodded as he jumped on to the back of the glider, behind Base. The excitement overwhelmed as he began to imagine space, the very thing that harbored other worlds including his own. "Space...The final frontier." he said in a deep voice as if mimicking a certain someone. The glider roared to life and lifted off incredibly fast towards what looked like a beautiful Castle. The unexpected power of the glider pushed D'daear back, causing the boy to almost fall off if it were not for his quick reflex. Held on tight to the side of glider, finding it awkward in having to wrap his arms around Sebax for grip. With his keyblade still in hand, he made sure to grip the seat even tighter. They both zoomed through a pathway of space, something that he never imagined being able to experience in his entire life. D'daear's hair, and clothes swayed rapidly at the extreme-speed they were both going. Light was being bended in this new way which gave access to faster travel. To him, it was an odd experience where many colors of lights were mixed and blended in this bizarre worm hole of sorts. It was a Psychedelic experience for him, one which he would most likely never forget. His eyes widened at the bizarre show of lights. "Whoooaaa...." he managed to utter in his lost trance. The pathway in-between was truly beautiful in its own way. At the end of this journey, he could faintly make out the void that would relieve them of this travel, and welcome them to their destination.

The travel felt like mere seconds. They exited into what seemed like a damp dungeon where crates and barrels seemed to be all but common. It only took a second for everything to spiral out of control. The glider collided with an object unseen by D'daear which in turn pole vaulted them forward into the stone pavement. If it were not for the protective barrier, and Base's armor, they would have had some disgusting injuries. D'daear's body hit the pavement hard, only slowing his momentum. His body rolled to a skidding stop, having landed onto the new world; the glider had already made itself comfortable atop a pile of broken crates, and barrels. The barrier surrounding D'daear's body shattered, releasing him from his safety. He got up, dazed from the experience. "B-Base?" he called out, his voice weak from the unexpected turn of events; unaware of the others presence.

 

Steel was somewhat annoyed when Luna pushed his hand away. But he stayed silent. Base and D'deaer soon crashed in after her statement, leaving Steel to simply facepalm. He was the -only- one who had not crash landed in this entire team. It would seem he chose wisely; these people would need him. He decided the best thing to do was take a small lead. "I don't mean to be too bossy, but after our you have all recovered from your 'Big entrances' perhaps we should talk to..." He paused briefly. "...The residents..."

 

Once Ananta had finished her spectacular failure of an attempt to pull out the sword, Kel spoke. "That makes sword 2 us 0. Anyone else want to make an attempt to remove the sword." Two of them had already tried and fail, one of which went quite overboard with their attempt.

 

Ananta stood up and shook her head. "Maybe we ought to wait or explore around a bit. I mean, this place looks pretty neat and all. If not a bit chilly..." she commented. It felt quite cooler than Kingdom of the Sun. Certainly it did. However, she would just have to deal with it. The cold never bothered her that much anyway. Listening to Beuce's comments, she couldn't help but punch his arm at what he said. It's beginning to be a normal thing for her. Either she gets used to him making bad references or he gets used to her punching him. "What do you say we explore a....wait who are you?" she looked at the one who had rolled into the sword. She never noticed him before.

 

Base let out more of a wheeze than a reply; in landing on his front, the fall had knocked the wind right out of him. So much for armor. "Yeah, yeah. I'm...alright." Base slapped the ground with one of his hands, and forced himself up onto his feet. The new world was still spinning, but what he saw of it didn't exactly suit his palate. "We're just all prisoners here...of our own device." He noted when he noticed the others. He did not recognize that there was, in the vicinity, talking chinaware; there was just Krowley, Luna, Steel, a dungeon, and regular chinaware strangely sitting on the ground. Base cast away his armor away and stumbled over to Krowley and the others.

"I really hope there's something to drink in this..." Base grumbled as he picked the cup off the ground at the same moment he gave the inside a cursory glance, only to find it empty. "... I could really use something to drink." He cracked his neck from side to side to get the kinks out. "I need to get myself insured if this little tradition of a gravity-based entrance exam keeps happening."

 

D'daear shook his head, attempting to shake off the dazed feeling. The room began to readjust, according to his eyes. "uugh...what a great way to start off..." he groaned. On the other side of the damp barely lit room, he saw Base walk up to 3 other individuals; not noticing the teapot and cup near them. Out of the 3, he only recognized one of them; Steel. The unfortunate entrance was now in the past. He smiled, finding it a boost in his morale to see another familiar face in the room; besides Base. "Hey, Steel! Looks like we ended up in the same world!" he shouted from across the dungeon. His voice echoed throughout the large room. D'daear heard this, and in a moment of distraction, forgot about everyone for a moment as he took to listening. He found it amusing to listen to his own echoing voice. "Heeeelllooooooooo!! HeeeellloOOOOOoooooo!"he shouted in his excitement. The rooms acoustics was just too much fun; coincidentally not being mindful at whether it would annoy the others or not. "Wow! This place is so awesome! I mean sure it's a bit gloomy, but maaan.."

 

The two people already here were named Kel and Beuce. Great! Strives in getting to know his peers was all ready making leaps and bounds. It was then that the next of the trio...er, quartet as it were, came into view. He wasn't entirely sure what was up with her crystal thing, but becoming super buff out of nowhere and mustering all her strength, she went to give it the old college try against that sword in the stone...of course it failed, because that's just how these things work. Stupid legendary swords and being unmovable. It was then that the fourth member of the team realized that she had no idea who Stratos was...granted, Stratos had no idea who she was. So everything worked out in the end.

"Yo there, the name's Stratos. I guess we could go exploring or something but, I think I'll give this sword a try myself." Walking over to the sword that he had crashed into, Stratos started pulling up on it as hard as he possibly could. Of course, the sword didn't budge at all. Stratos then decided to pull out his ultimate technique. Pretending to spit on both of his hands, he held them out towards the sword and said, "open sesame!" And then he waited. It took about ten seconds of nothing happening before Stratos said, "well that's all I got."

 

Ananta was about to turn and address the new boy when she heard the story from...a walking dog? Shaking her head, she smiled a bit before the comment on their clothing. Her eyes widened and she looked at the others. Snapping a finger, she turned back to the boy. To which she automatically slapped a hand onto Beuce's mouth and kept it covered while she tried to make things make sense to the dogboything. "No no, we aren't from another world. We just heard about this sword in the stone story and decided to try and see it for ourselves! We were so fascinated, you see, but alas we don't have the power to do it ourselves." she smiled. "Oh, my name is Ananta. This is Beuce." she gestured to him. "He can be a little rude, so I didn't want to offend you. What's your name?" she looked at the others and gestured that they return the favor.

 

Karina was right about something, Gaston, as he was called, had an inflated and infuriating ego but if there was any fury with Kross, he clearly didn't show it. He couldn't let anger and rage cloud his judgement, he had questions to answer and this world seemed to provide them with many others. He watched as Karina smacked Gaston's hand away from her head and he frowned with worry. He sighed and scratched the top of his head. He focused on what Gaston had said earlier, about Karina treating him like the Beast. 'THE beast, not A beast.. singular form..wonder what that's about..' He thought to himself. If karina didn't want to complete the mission right, he would have to. He went over to Gaston and looked up at him."Excuse me, Gaston was it? What do you mean 'The Beast'? Is it some sort of creature? Did it have any defining symbol on its body?" he asked.

 

With a sigh Kel watched as Stratos brought them to 0-3 in attempts. Before he could actually say something, they were greeted by a walking dog. Seeing this kind of thing wasn't much of a surprise considering that he's been turned into a fox before. When it asked if they were from another world, Ananta acted first by silencing Beuce and providing a cover story. "How long has the sword been in the stone?" Kel asked before catching Ananta glance after she'd introduced herself. "I'm Kel."

 

Steel leaned down and picked up chip. He lowered his scarf just enough to see a small amount of his mouth and took a sip as he listened to the teapot. "That would be lovely ma'am, thank you for your kindness." He put chip back down and let him return to his mother. He made sure his scarf had returned to cover all of his lower face, and returned his attention to the conversation.

 

Cat smiled at his joke, even giggled a little and while that was pretty smooth, she was a bit confused by the face he'd just made. Still, he looked good even when he did that and there was no turning her around now. She was prepared to follow him and help him in whatever he was doing, even if that meant leaving the group. Suddenly, the guards called out and accused him of stealing the royal crown. "WHAT!?" She looked to the guards, now running toward them at top speed, and then back to Flynn. "Oh god, why? Every time I think I've found a guy, he's a jerk or a butt or a thief. Why can't I just find someone sweet? She could almost break into song, but there was no time for that. While his face screamed GUILTY she still refused to believe it. She was going to get her happy ending, even if it was only for a moment. "Run! I can hold them off." She stepped forward and got into a battle stance before summoning her Keyblade. "Don't worry about me. I've dealt with bigger brutes before. Just go!"
