Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Etrius watched from above as Flynn got himself chased by the horse. He suddenly jumped, flipped, forcing his momentum to balance toward the tower, as he skidded down, just at the horse and Flynn rounded again. Etrius landed in between, as he flashed his hand, his Oathkeeper in hand, pointed at the horse.
"Chill." Etrius said calmly, eyes blood red in a glare, "I may not be a horse, but if Flynn has tricked you, we get it. Flynn has tricked us as well, but now we're on the same page. No harm comes to this unless I say so."
Etrius knew that he wasn't as strong as the horse, but he was just as fast. Flynn had an agreement, so he needed to be protected until then. Etrius lowered his Keyblade, before finishing, "I hate him too, but after we're finished with him, you can deal with him as well."

 

Luna slightly opened her eyes as she heard D'daear inquire about her condition. As she opened her eyes, her vision started getting a little bit blurry. Luna opened her mouth to speak. "I-i feel a little weak." Luna started to lift her left arm to grab her right shoulder but stopped as pain stung through her body. With that, she tried to stand up but staggered a little bit, leaning over to one side. "We gotta head to Belle's room", her vision started to fade to black as she stood and began to walk toward the stair case leading to the east wing. "Thanks for asking D'daear." She took a couple of steps as her eyes closed slowly.

 

Kaida was not entirely sure of the events that had occurred when she was paying attention to the tower. But next thing she knew, the horse companion was gone. To where exactly? Well, it seemed he found his target. Kaida's eyes followed the horse's run until her eyes spotted the long golden hair. It was the princess she was looking for!

Kaida had not seemed to have been seen during the distracting entrance of the horse. She quickly ran behind the trees and climbed up one to observe the events before her under cover. At first, she summed up that this thief, this criminal, turned out to just be an ordinary thief. She went under this assumption before a few minutes before she noticed the other three.

They were not from this world. She could tell, she was trained to be able to spot inconsistencies. Her eyes finally set on the red-eyed boy as he withdrew a keyblade. Kaida spat in disgust as she sensed something off about this particular boy's energies. This could be the danger the others in the order had mentioned. Rapunzel was in danger! Kaida jumped through the trees to get a closer inspection on them.

 

Base, moving with serpentine swiftness, bowed and dipped under Luna's damaged shoulder and helped to support her weak side. Two feet had become four with three shoulders. "I'm a little low on Magic, or else I would probably be able to help with a Cure spell. We can't move five steps into a new surrounding without helping someone we've never met, but we also gotta help each other, right? We're friends." Base smiled at Luna, seeing how weak the last battle had left her. "D'daear, you may have to take the other side. We have to get to that room to do what we can here, but keep this in mind, D'daear... be prepared for anything. We did not know that Beast was the master of this castle, and so this domain may hold no end of surprises. Use your head, and know when to use diplomacy or more aggressive tactics." Base dictated to D'daear with an instructor's grace. "Don't always trust what you see with only your eyes. The Darkness can cloak the Truth, and the Light can blind you." Base redistributed his weight to more easily carry Luna. "Look for the balance, but never go into the Dark not armed with Light."

 

Ananta watched in bewilderment at the events transpire before her. Gilgamesh was down, that was great for her group, but suddenly a girl wearing weird clothes appeared and scolded Gilgamesh. What's more is that Merlin knew the girl in the first place. Although, by now, it shouldn't be so much a surprise as it is something that should be expected when it comes to Merlin. The fact he can see the future, somewhat, as well as his vast knowledge of the universe made him a valuable man. In the end, however, it was Stratos and his colorful description of what happened between seeing Merlin before up until now. But she had a feeling he probably knew all that had happened anyway and simply asked to not seem odd. Ananta couldn't blame him for anything, seeing as he still was a powerful wizard that she has great respect for. However, her respect could be seen as foolish seeing as she barely knows the man.

Shaking her head Ananta, nodded in agreement with Stratos' question. "I understand that you know her, Merlin, but can this Mizu be trusted at all? I only ask because she seems to know Gilgamesh." she asked. And then she remembered her failed attempts at seducing Gilgamesh. To which she mentally facepalmed herself. Turning to Beuce she patted his shoulder and looked him over. "I'm amazed you're standing, considering how you were knocked into a building, Beuce." she commented. "Are you sure you're okay...?" she asked.

 

Cat looked down as they started their descent from the tower. Flynn's struggle to climb back down would've been more entertaining if he'd just slipped up. Still, his efforts were entertaining enough, and she figured she might as well put on a show. She saw Rapunzel use her hair like a pulley and waited for her to get near the bottom where it'd be harder to spot her. Once they were far down enough, she jumped out of the window and tossed her keyblade down below. It turned into the glider about halfway down and she landed in a way that caused it to speed down like an elevator. Once she was close enough, she jumped to the ground and willed it to disappear before anyone noticed. She dusted herself off before noticing that their group wasn't alone in the clearing. A horse dressed in what appeared to be a royal uniform had run up to confront the no good thief. From the look it gave Flynn when he came down, it was clear what his intentions were. She heard Etrius slide down and try to intimidate the horse into back off and decided to try and be more... polite about it. "Excuse my friend here," she started, stepping out in front of Etrius and pushing his Keyblade out of the way. "What he means to say is that we need this good for nothing to help us out with an errand. I can promise you that it's legal, and as soon as it's done you can do what you please." She glared at him for even daring to threaten a royal horse when they were already on the run, and she suddenly saw some trees moving in the distance. It could very well have been some kind of animal, but with a wanted criminal in their midst, there was no way to be sure.

 

D'daear nodded at Base, quickly standing to aid Luna by going underneath her other shoulder to better support the distributed weight. Now the four legs had become six! They stood there a while, D'daear listening to Base's words of wisdom. Somehow he felt overwhelmed as the information didn't make much sense at first; except for where their next destination was. "Rright...I think?" he managed to say, a perplexed look on his face. There was so much for the young Keyblade wielder to learn, so much in fact that he felt a bit silly for not understanding. "Darkness cloaks the truth, and light can blind me?" he thought for a moment. Did he mean it literally or figuratively? For certain he would have to take time to himself to ponder Base's words. At any rate, he stood there ready to move whenever everyone was ready.

 

Etrius gave Cat bored look back, uninterested in her threatening glare. However, Etrius heard a small sound above all the commotion around him, coming from the forest, within the trees, making him freeze. It was the sound of someone spitting. He also heard a series of rustling of leaves. The rustling sounded too large to be any large animal, and the forest was completely undisturbed, despite the sound of birds. They were being watched.
"Shut your chew holes." Etrius said to the group. He looked around for the source of the sound, but couldn't pinpoint it. He turned back to Cat and hissed quiely to her, "That horse led someone here."
Etrius walked quietly closer to the forest edge before calling out quietly, "We know you're there. You're movement around the trees make you a bit of a target. Come out."

Unlike the others, Glen had not heard anything. Being very unobservant, he rarely did notice small rustling sounds in a bush, especially with all the chatter that was going on. He walked over to Etrius and lightly put a hand on his shoulder. "Etrius, less than a minute ago you were talking to a damn horse, both of you were" he said, addressing both Cat and Etrius, "now I don't know about the way things work on either of your worlds, but where I come from, horses are just dumb animals. They can't understand a word you say. So, obviously you're insane, which is probably why you're hearing things, too. Let's just move on and go to this snuggly duckling place yeah? We've wasted enough time as it is" he said. Perhaps there could have been a way to word it in a more polite tone, but this way he got to poke fun at Etrius while he did so.​

 

Kaida was nervous when she thought she was sniffed out. How the heck was someone able to notice her movements in such a distracting environment. But, fortunately enough one of the people in the group seemed to shoot down the accusations. She held her hand up to her chest and let out a quiet sigh of relief before took a seat on one of the higher branches. She was covered by the leaves but she could still see all of the troublemakers, Maximus, and the princess.

She was glad she had the brown robe on her, and she covered her hair with the hood to make sure there was nothing bright yellow standing out from her spot in the trees. She became more aware of her actions and tried to keep herself from being as suspicious as possible. At the same time, she wondered if the sudden decrease in activity was making her stand out. It did not matter to her quite yet.

 

Etrius, gave Glen a questioning look. He lowered his blade slowly and took a step towards Glen, until he was about inches from him. He looked hard at him.
Suddenly, his eyes went red, and most unpredictably, he laughed. It was a really odd laugh, not sounding at all like the friendly laugh Etrius was known to give. It sounded high and hollow, breaking the sound of the forest. One would've he'd gone insane. He stopped laughing, giving Glen a now glowering look.
"Once again, 'Percy'," Etrius began, emphasizing the name clearly, "Your stupidity is outmatched by that of your deductive skills, and yet, your kindness outmatches both. You forget that we are in uncharted territory, in a large forest, next to a tower, with a charmingly, oily bandit, a young maiden with long hair, and a suspicious horse."
"I would suggest that you leave the situation to us higher ups, who are more....experience...then you. After all, you've already made a bad first impression." Etrius finished, tilting his head towards Rapunzel. Etrius' eyes cleared back to yellow, his smile fading into a frown, as he turned and walked to the rim of the forest, looking for the stowaway.

 

Steel tapped his foot impatiently. Base was ignoring the questions HE had wanted, and was apparently ignoring common knowledge as well. "Am I the only one who remembers that she just refused to be cured?" He asked in a somewhat annoyed tone as he readied the spell. "If you've got a good reason, that's fine..." He continued as he faced her. Green energy began to focus in his right gauntlet, and small vines snaked around it. "But you've better speak up now, cause if it's just simple pride then you will be healed; like it or not." He glanced at Base as he held her up, as if daring him to object to the simple fact. He raised up his sparkling metallic hand as he awaited her response.

 

Cat rolled her eyes at Glen, though he was right that they should probably get moving. She was about to insist that they start when Etrius suddenly laughed in a way that felt unnatural. It came at too high a pitch to be normal for him, and when she turned to look, his eyes had gone red. Was the same thing that had happened in the castle happening now? Would he be consumed by the darkness? Suddenly he started to speak, but none of what he said made any sense. She wanted to confront him, but feared that it would only agitate him -- or rather, whoever he was right now. Once he'd finished telling Glen off, though his name clearly wasn't Percy, his eyes went back to yellow and she saw his tone change back to something resembling his usual self. He walked over to the edge of the clearing, and she couodn't help but follow. Honestly, if he wasn't in his right mind, they had a right to know, and she had a duty as his teammate to try and help him through it. "What just happened? What's gotten into you?"

 

Glen didn't flinch when Etrius's eyes turned red, and he found no fear in the words he spoke. Glen may have not been the most intelligent person, but he held no fear of the darkness whatsoever. He was confident in his skills as a keyblade wielder, and the only thing Etrius' reaction achieved was making him want to push his buttons more. "Gets offended at being called a nutjob, so first thing he does is goes bipolar and threatens an ally, because only the most sane people do that" Glen said sarcastically to nobody in particular. He noticed Cat and Etrius walk off towards the clearing, and decided he should give them notification if he planned to leave.

"Yo Cat and Captain Emo, I'm gonna help blondie and the thief go to the snuggly duckling now okay?" he called out to them. With a slight chuckle, the boy turned his attention back to Maximus, Rapunzel and Flynn. "Lead the way" he said, with a mock bow added to the end for drama. If Cat didn't follow, he would probably turn back so he didn't leave her behind. After all, despite their slight disagreements she was part of the team. Etrius? In Glen's eyes, he was around the same level of importance to him as Flynn was, and should have considered himself lucky Glen didn't punch him with that idle threat of his that he had made.​

 

From what Eon could gather, the beat Maurice spoke of wasn't just a lie. However, going after this other man who had a lot of nerve to throw Maurice out and make fun of his truth didn't deserve to be acknowledged for his help. Eon, Karina, and Kross could handle it themselves. He went an followed Karina, ignoring the warnings made by the townsfolk.

 

It looked like karina would be fine, Kross grinned and sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. The man mentioned the beast, in a very distraught voice to add to that. He listened quietly, if he knew Gaston, which he didn't very well, it would mean that the flambroyant man would no doubt be coming after the beast. They had to beat Gaston to the beast, so that they could take care of the situation themselves. He looked over to see Karina exchange glances with him. He gave a swift nod, knowing exactly what she was thinking of this. He nodded to Eon firmly and let him follow after Karina. He took the tail end, not drawing his keyblade but remained firmly on guard in case some creature was foolish enough to challenge them."Be careful, if what that man told us is true, that beast could be quite fearsome..I don't know though, something about this whole thing seems...off."He observed, keeping as calm as he could manage as to not make his two allies too wary, it was probably nothing.

 

Kel had no idea what to think about the four armed giant being intimidated by the stereotypically dressed magical loli that had appeared. Seriously, if one little girl could do what four keyblade wielders couldn't, then something was seriously messed up about this whole thing. Back to the matter at hand, Kel watched the bubble filled with miniature versions of themselves as Stratos explained what had happened. For being made up of chibis, it was pretty accurate. "That pretty much sums up what we've been through. What about you then?"
