Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

"Well you see after we left the to-" Beuce stopped talking mid sentence. Stratos had just used the exact same joke he was going to make with the chibis. What the hell man? How did that even happen?! at least there was still the joke about magical lo- ...Kel you son of a-....Twice the joke had been stolen from him. Was this the power of april first? Was the world itself out to troll him? Beuce felt a bead of sweat run down his forehead. He looked all around him, apparently paranoid about something. "No cats. please no cats." He didn't want any adult cat finders, ESPECIALLY if said cats were cheshire. That...that was a horror unthinkable. "Oh yeah i'm fine." He replied to Ananta, half paying attention.

 

Frowning, Ananta stared right into Beuce's eyes. He looked troubled and scared of something. Putting her hands on her hips, she tilted her head. "Are you sure? I don't think you look good at all..." she said. Walking behind him, she lifted his jacket and looked under it to see if something was wrong with his back. Didn't look any different than normally, she thought. Of course, she's never seen his back without a jacket covering his shirt. Placing a hand on his back, she pressed to see if maybe he dislocated something in his back. With her hand pressing hard into various spots along his spine, she focused on seeing if he was truly okay.

"This might be weird for you, but I'd hate for a party member to be sick or crazy. God knows how the group with Etrius are doing..." she muttered the last part. Her mind trailed off until she remembered what Beuce was saying to Nequa. Then she glared at him. "Hey wait, you were flirting with that lady from before. What the heck was that? It worked, but it sounded really fake." she said. She was one to talk, considering she had done the same to Gilgamesh. But she failed.

 

Steel gazed silently at his hand as he awaited Luna's answer; the green light of the spell illuminating the metallic silver of his clawed gauntlet. The group would have to talk to Belle before too long, or they might not be able to fix the problem. There was also the issue of what was going on outside the castle. This thought led him to wonder what the others were doing. He was certain they were all okay, but that didn't stop him from wondering what was happening to them at the moment. He mentally scolded himself for getting off topic and returned to the matter at hand. Whatever was going on with Beast and Belle, the problem would need to be resolved somehow.

 

"Steel, I get that your trying to help, in your own...way... but not everything can be solved with magic... You are attempting to cure Luna, aren't you...?" Base was slowly growing more distrustful of the haunting presence of Steel. Something about him just gave off an impression of 'I am leagues ahead of all of you'. However, before Base could say another word, Krowley suddenly shouting "Hey!" and giving chase to something startled Base back into the moment at hand. "I have to help Krowley. D'daear, stay with Luna until she has recovered enough to walk on her own, but always stick together." Base slipped slowly out from under Luna's shoulder in a way as to not do her any grief. He couldn't lose much time, and so Base did not; he caught up with Krowley in almost no time at all.

"Krowley, what are you chasing?" Base huffed, as he had used up most of his energy in the sprint to catch up to the already moving suited comrade.

 

Luna opened her eyes slightly as she saw a green light coming from Steel's hand. "P-pride? You think this is about pride?", Luna started to scowl at Steel. "I'll be damned if you think it's about the little pride I have left!!!!" Luna started yell as she stated her reason. "A Royal Knight always has a mark to show their battles they have fought in the past!! Our pride has nothing to do with it!!" As she yelled out, she heard a voice cry "Hey!". Luna looked up and saw Aux run toward Belle's room. Her eyes widen as memory resounded in her head. A memory of the Dwarf Woodlands ram across her mind. She felt a weight lift off her right shoulder. Luna saw Base run toward Krowley, she then start making her way toward the East Wing. "Aux...............Belle!!!!" Luna summoned her keyblade as she aimed her keyblade and casted a spell. "Fire!"

 

D'daear just kept his eyes looking back and forth between Steel, Luna, and Base as the three held a discussion. At this point, he was lost. He could feel small tension rising between them. Trusting his gut, he refrained from saying anything. He stood there, helping Base lift Luna for a while. It's best to let things like this resolve on their own. Who knows, maybe a sudden event may bring them closer. Suddenly, Krowley parted from the group and gave chase too...? He couldn't see the reason Krowley was running off on his own, but one thing he knew for certain was that all of Luna's weight suddenly shifted to him briefly. He saw his mentor run off after Krowley, instructing him to stay with Luna. "U-uuh yeah, of cou- Hey!" was all he managed to utter as Luna also found it in herself to run after Base, leaving Steel and himself alone momentarily. The purple haired youth gave a loud sigh. The situation had escalated rather quickly, to which he was not ready for.

"We JUST caught a break!" he complained, groaning afterwards. He turned to Steel, his expression that of exhaustion. "Steel, is it possible that maybe I can...hitch a ride?" he asked, referring to his floating ability where all he has to do it just fly. "That's gotta be an amazing feel..." he thought, waiting on Steel reply. He hoped he would answer him soon, as Base's instructions were clear....and if he wanted to better himself he'd have to learn to follow orders first.

 

After Merlin gave his little explanation as to who Mizu was, he seemed to have some sort of new found respect for the little girl. By new found he meant an increased amount then he already did, seeing as she was able to completely pacify Gilgamesh in hardly any time or effort at all. It was then that Merlin realized that perhaps he had made a mistake in keeping Wart closed off from the knowledge of other worlds. After he apologized in a heart warming scene, Mizu walked her way over to each member of the group and chopped them on the head with her hand. For such a little girl, that hurt a surprising amount. Damn you cutscene power.

After being chastised by her about not getting involved in other world's affairs, Stratos kept his calm demeanor about him as he rubbed his head letting out a small chuckle. "Well you see Miss Mizu, while we might not know everything about the keyblade, I myself having this as my first outing and real experience with it, it's not like we just landed here on a whim." Stratos proceeded to pull a drawing board out of nowhere, and materialized his keyblade to be used as a pointer. "You see we come from here," he pointed to a chalk drawing of the Land of Departure, with Land of Departure written underneath it, "because this man," he then traced an the chalk arrow that pointed from the original world to a chalk drawing of Yen Sid, "wanted us to go to different worlds to find princesses of hearts or something like that," his keyblade then tracing over to a cluster of hearts labeled as "important hearts." Having the explanation over and done with, he shoved the chalkboard into the oblivion hole it came from and then said, "and that's the basic reason we're doing this. I don't know how much of that I was actually allowed to share..." he also had no idea how much of that he actually was supposed to even know. He then looked over to the rest of the group and said, "actually, why are we even looking for these princesses of hearts?"

 

Kaida found it easier to hear them the closer they got, but they seemed to be quarreling more than getting along. Not that she found that odd, she'd seen that happen more than she'd like. She just knew things didn't usually work out well when they went that way.

One of the three mentioned a place called the Snuggly Duckling, and how they were taking Rapunzel there. If she wasn't going with them, Kaida would have let it slide. She wanted to know why these people were here and what their purpose was. But she felt less and less comfortable with running out in the open and calling them out.

Kaida continued to follow the group, still maintaining her hiding space in the trees as they continued on.

 

Glen walked along, towards the Snuggly Duckling, or at least where he thought it would be. He couldn't help but think "**** you Base" as he walked. The keyblade wielder had no idea why he had that particular thought, it just sort of..appeared in his head as he walked. Why did they even have to go to the Snuggly Duckling? Surely if they wanted to get to the 'floating lights' it would be much faster to travel via keyblade glider, wouldn't it? "Blondie, what would you say to the idea of travelling a little faster? I have a method of travel that would speed this trip up tenfold" he suggested.​

 

As Glen made his response, Etrius ignored when Glen called him "Captain Emo", and replied "Shove a sock in it Glen, and get those two out of here. If I do happen to be right, which I'm convinced I am, I doubt any of us want them in the crossfire if an enemy attacks. Take the horse too, while your at it." Though Glen was already gone.
"What just happened? What's gotten into you?" Cat's voice spoke behind him, making him turn. He felt strangely tired, as if negotiations had drained him of his patience. Though Cat had waved him off, he was more than willing to share his problem. He decided to talk to Cat about his subconscious dive.
"I'll put it to you this way Cat," Etrius began, "I'm restless because of what power I hold. Back in the Land of Departure, I went to take a nap, only to take a Dive to The Heart." Etrius also began to follow Glen, motioning to Cat to follow, as he continued to speak. "I don't know what was going on, but apparently, my own powers might be trying to take over."

Cat listened to Etrius try and explain everything, all the while ignoring Glen. Honestly, he couldn't be serious if his life depended on it. Still, that didn't matter now. Etrius talked about his power overtaking him, and he began to mention things that went way over her head. She was competent with her Keyblade, but obviously not knowledgeable enough about the lore or rituals behind it. "Dive to the what?" He began to head in Glen's direction and she followed close behind. "Look, this might be going over my head, but I promise I'll try to help you in any way I can." She turned back as they walked, seeing if that mysterious figure from before was still in the trees. There was some rustling, but not nearly as much as before, so she just kept moving. Besides, if this person was really interested in them, they wouldn't be too far behind anyway.

 

"Not everything can be solved with magic?" Steel thought to himself. "When have I ever implied that I thought that way? I could just as easily use a potion here." Before he could voice his thoughts, Luna burst in yelling about how he thought this was about pride (Which he only suggested it -might- be). He was again interrupted as everyone but him and D'daear ran after Aux as if he didn't exist. Was his nature affecting them this much, or was he just -THAT- detestable? "So short sighted." He sighed as they all rushed off. After a couple moments of silence, D'daear asked for a ride. He turned back to his newest companion; perhaps things weren't going all that bad after all. "Sure." He answered. He grabbed D'daear's arm. "I'll drop you off with Luna." He paused. "Oh, and hold on; I like going fast." With that, he levitated off the ground and sped off after the others.

 

Luna felt sorrow and pain fill her mind as she ran toward Aux. Why would I care about my pride after everything that's been happening?! My people, my family, my home.....All I have left is my brother....... I have nothing at all besides him. Her vision had blurred as painful thoughts ran across her mind. The thought of her home brought pain to her heart. She followed Krowley and Base as fast as she could with her injuries. Must keep going.......Belle...........Have to s-stop Aux...... Luna's vision clouded as she caught up to Krowley and Base. She collapsed as soon as she reached Krowley and Base, with tears streaming down her face.

 

Kaida watched the interaction between the people of this world, very amused by how things seemed to go. She leaned an elbow against the tree as she sat on the branch as she listened to Maximus seem to be tamed by Rapunzel. She was so consumed in listening that when she heard a question asked, she was confused. Then she noticed the princess looking directly at her and her eyes widened.

Kaida just seemed to stare at her for a moment and tried to figure out how she was caught so easily. She moved her hand up to her head and felt her head. Her hood was down. Oh no. Kaida looked at the group of people and shouted back, "He's not my horse. But his name is Maximus. He is a guard... horse." She looked around and the group of people, particularly at the outsiders, and help up a hand in hello and let out a small chuckle over the fact she was caught, "Hey there..."

 

"Well, this is getting us nowhere fast..." Base trailed off, taking in the surroundings of the dead end. When Luna crashed down in tears, then Base was right there to give her a hand up and wipe a tear from her face. "Hey, chin up!" Base smiled cheerily. In becoming a unit, each Keyblader had developed a bond with him...even the ones he barely knew. It was as if his heart was soaking in the tides of every nearby heart; connecting each of them in an odd sense of empathy.

"Alright...next step, Krowley?" Base inquired, after tending to Luna.

 

After yet another hit to him, first Ananta and now a little girl. This was really starting to be a bother. As Mizu lectured them about traveling to others world and the usual lectures that he never paid attention to, Stratos provided some answers via a drawing board. In which he showed that it was Yen Sid who sent them to the world. Before he could speak up, Gilgamesh spoke up, only to struck by the little girl. Again proving that something was wrong if a little girl could do something that for keyblade wielders couldn't. "What the Stratos said er drew is correct, Yen Sid did send us here." Kel started, before pausing for a bit. "But what do you mean by 'your time'?"

 

Apparently worried about him, Ananta began checking underneath his shirt for possible injuries. However, due to his oversized ego, he assumed she just wanted to feel his muscles. "Well jeez, if you wanted me to take my shirt off you could've just said so and i could probably work in some fanservice." He said with a chuckle. "Well, you know, she seemed like a pretty big threat. Sometimes you've gotta handle things with more than just sheer force. Like seduction. As you just showed, no woman can possibly resist my Beucely charms." He gloated in response to being interrogated about his flirting with Nequa. Then came the chop....

Beuce rubbed his head. That chop had hurt quite a bit. Hopefully he wouldn't get a bump that turned into a robot or something...It wouldn't surprise him in the least. In his mind, he obligatorily swore at Base for no apparent reason. In any case, Stratos explained that Yen Sid had sent them there from the land of departure, which was pretty much correct. He thought about what she said. Information from her time? "A different time...Krowley?" He said aloud. From the conversation with Blaze, he knew Krowley was from the future. So perhaps this girl had somehow come back the same way. "You're from the order, aren't you." He deduced. Wow. Twice in one world Beuce was being smart. That was odd.
