Kel had barely taken a step forward before he heard the familiar voice behind him. In the time that it took to turn to face her, both Merlin and Mizu were taken out of commission and since their opponent was a witch, taking those two out was a pretty heavy blow. But that wasn't the end of it. Ananta, the one other mage that they had, was now starting to doubt herself. Definitely not good in this situation. Before they would make any attempts at fighting Nequa, they would need to have everyone willing to fight. So it was to that end that he walked over to Ananta and gently placed his hand on her shoulder. "Your doing nothing wrong, trust me even if something looks like it's impossible to beat, it can be." He was referring to Karina when he said this, but she didn't need to know that. "Don't let her get to you, your probably the best mage we got right now." This was pretty out of character or closer to how he normally was when he's not being a seeming anti-social teen.

Cat moved back inside, seeing Maximus's wide grin at the notion of leaving Rider behind. Still, some commotion had started and before she could get any real idea of what was going on, it came to a grinding halt as the thug with a hook for a hand walked over to Rapunzel. She was ready to jump in and defend the girl when suddenly he surprised everyone in the room. His talk of wanting to be a pianist seemed to have everyone else pondering their former life goals as well, and that got her thinking a bit... about life before all this. Before the Keyblade. While studying had never really appealed to her, her focus was on making things easier on her mother. But where did that leave her in terms of a personal goal? What dreams did she really have? Even Glen, snot nosed brat that he was, had a dream of surpassing his father, and that dream was more for him than anyone else. She walked up to Rapunzel and put a hand on her shoulder. "Dreams are... complicated. You should be glad that you have one. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'd want to do for myself." She wanted a selfish dream: a desire all her own. Because right now, even Flynn was beating her in that department...

"Krowley?..." he questioned. "Heh. Figures you'd use his name. Always preciously clinging on to his morals and ideals.... You should find you own identity." He clutched his fist, before slowly opening it after.
"It's much more rewarding." Darkness encompassed from his body, creating a large hue of purple and black that was strong enough to begin leaking out small gaseous amounts of darkness with bright yellow eyes and a thin red line for mouths. They moved about the room like phantom, merging into nearby gargoyle statues.

"But be weary of the darkness for only the weak-hearted will be inherited by it's possession."
The gargoyles the blobs of darkness fell into came to life, grabbing out swords and axes as the stone statue-filled room was now Aux's own personal entourage of evil.
"I leave you with the distraction, but do keep it down... There's a private party in progress. And one last thing to remember..." He turned around to leave through the door once more. "Get in my way again... And it will be the last thing you do... Hikaru."

He closed the door behind him and left the stone creatures to close in on them.

The large beast succumbed to his defeat and settled down. "Looks like that's my limit," he spoke out. A glowing hue or red and black outline his body, carefully transforming him down in size. His horns, fangs and fur receded into a normal looking man in a red cape and black leather attire. He was on one knee at this time, catching his breath. He was pale with long, dark hair. His clothes were torn and mangled and he indeed looked as if he had not seen sunlight in ages.

"If you want to finish me, now's the best time to do it... should I recover I will transform once more and attack again and again..." he stopped before continuing. He sighed at his exhaustion and lamented. I need new purpose... When I woke up, he gave me a purpose, but what would I have done after? It sounds stupid now that I see it clearly, but it was something..."

He had calmed down to a normal state of mind and seemed to have mellowed down. "My name is Vincent," he formally introduced himself. "I ask of a new purpose. Should you wish to give me one."

Eon smiled at Vincent. A man seeking for a purpose. One that would go until the end of his time. He needed something more pure. "I have a purpose for you. Your purpose is to help those who seek the light. Those with a key in hand and a heart of light who need help. That is your purpose. This way it'll also give you a purpose until the end. I hope that works?" He answered, his smile even wider.

Glen stopped for a moment, just staring at the shattered glass which now laid on the ground. He had already put some alcohol into his inventory earlier after discovering whatever he decided to put into his pockets somehow fit miraculously, so he now had a few bottles of alcohol in there, but still..that glass had had meaning. Maybe not much meaning, seemingly unimportant to everybody else, but Etrius had crossed a line. Glen had paid for that drink fairly, with his own hard earned munny, and now Etrius had just destroyed it. Not even a "hey Glen maybe you should slow down on drinking" or anything, just outright destroyed it. That did not sit well with the wielder.

Glen stood up quietly. Without a sound, he began sneaking towards Etrius, slinking around like a cat and commando rolling behind chairs and tables as he did so. At least, that's how it was in his mind. In reality, he was staggering around and bumping into the chairs and tables, and simply falling over in a drunken waltz as he made his way over. As he got close to Etrius, he crouched down. "I'll teach you to mess with a man's drink. Child or not, you don't simply get rid of my alcohol without some sort of consequence" Glen said quietly to himself, before leaping forward and attempting to tackle Etrius to the ground.

Stratos had seen that the situation turned south extremely quickly. In an instant, that magical enemy girl appeared and was all like super spell shielding. When she did whatever spell that was, it instantly bounced Miss Mizu's own magic back at her and put her quickly to sleep. Well that sucked. On the brighter note, Stratos was in awe of the magic being dished out here. Oh what he would give to use that kind of magical energy for his own gain. His eyes were full of sparkles until his attention was turned to the self deprecating Ana. Thankfully, Kel had jumped in to liven her spirits before she turned into a witch or something. Stratos walked over and said, "that's right. If you were a useless party member then I'm sure you wouldn't be here in the first place. The fact that you are proves that you have worth to not just this team, but everyone in general. Besides, we can't beat ourselves up before we even get started, now can we?" Stratos then faced towards the hut and shouted, "Beuce, whatever is in that hut is clearly not relevant to us right now, so get out here." Stratos remained a calm smile on his face, not quite sure how the fight against Nequa would go. "Now then, I assume you're here to fight against us?" Diplomacy was never an option in these situations...but it was nice to think it was.

Kaida listened to Rapunzel's speech about a dream, and it actually hurt her quite a bit. She was not one to have a single dream, instead she had multiple dreams. She hoped to fulfill as many as possible, but she wasn't sure if she ever could fulfill them all. In fact, the one she currently sought after may never be fulfilled at all. She at least hoped the two were okay.

Kaida jumped as she heard something going on over near the bar. Instead of sticking near Cat, Flynn, and Rapunzel, she ran over to the bar and quickly grabbed Glen as he was about to tackle Etrius, "Woah woah WOAH." as Kaida did this, she didn't manage to keep her balance and she fell to the ground with Glen.

Kaida sat up from where she was sitting on the floor and stared at Glen, "What are you doing drinking? Are you really looking to impair your senses while you are on a mission? Drink all you want later if that's what you want to do. I'm just trying to help you out here..."

"Get in my way again... And it will be the last thing you do... Hikaru."

Base was getting ready to fight, but those parting words hit him. He stared, transfixed at the departing villain, and almost let his guard down. "Who's... Hikaru...?" It was long enough for one of the gargoyles to leap and try to take a swing at him. base jumped back on instinct and shouted "Frio!" at the stone foe. With it's considerable weight increased, the cruel statue had a hard time jumping to reach him. Base took two swings to chip away at the Gargoyle Knight until it broke apart, but he was on the move. He needed to make sure he was covering wounded allies.

Two Gargoyle Warriors blocked his path. Readying his stance, Base stood his ground and jumped to attack the warrior on the right. Cracking his Keyblade clear through it rocky head, the warrior stayed together just long enough for him to use it as a kickstand to pull the other heavy warrior in so that the two toppled together and dismantled under their own tremendous weight.

He was almost to D'daear when another warrior blindsided him. "I'm getting tired of these ones..." The threat swung its heavy axe toward him, and Base had to limbo his way out of a stone-edged incision through his middle. Base took the opportunity to step on the axe hard as it made its lowest sweep. It pulled the heavy Gargoyle forward and just enough to send it crashing to a gravely mess on the ballroom floor.

Base stood by D'daear, with his Keyblade in hand, and smirked. "See what I mean?"

Karina jumped as Vincent had started talking. She thought he was out at this point? Karina slowly slid away from Vincent as she looked up at him. As soon as she did her face turned bright red. She was just going on about how they where both monsters and such and he would have heard that. "I... um I am, uh... What I mean to say... I am, eh ... I'm sorry." Karina was stumbling over her words not able to talk properly. As much as she tried to form a sentence all her mind could think about was Vincent's tall thin stature, and long black hair that contrasted his pale skin so nicely. Vincent then continued to talk and Eon reply. Karina wanted to say something and contribute to the conversation but she couldn't bring herself to say anything of significance. "Y-yeah what he said." She stammered as she stood up. How could she have gone from severely depressed to giddy and a loss for words just like that? Karina had honestly never experienced the feeling of liking someone like this. It was new to her. Her face was really hot and red as he hands shook. Karina was trying so hard to hide it but it wasn't working.

Beuce walked out of the hut realizing that it was a trap. Admiral Ackbar was right after all. Their two best magic users were now in a little bubble sort of thing, and they were left to possibly fight a very attractive antagonist. However, first off, Ananta was being all moody and self doubting. Beuce cracked a pair of mental knuckles and went to work. He put his hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eyes. "Now you listen to me Ananta. Ya got the makins o' greatness in ya, but ya gotta take the helm and chart your own course. Stick to it, no matter the squalls! And when the time comes you get the chance to really test the cut of your sails, and show what you're made of... well, I hope I'm there, catchin some of the light coming off you that day." If that didn't cheer her up, nothing would. He then looked over at Nequa. "If you're here to pick a fight, then come at us. However if you're here to ask for my autograph and/or hand in marriage which is entirely possible then you should probably speak up now to avoid confusion. Just putting that out there."

Ananta shrugged the hands of her shoulders and turned towards her teammates. Her eyes burned with doubt and hurtfulness. "I don't need your stupid words!" she yelled at them. "Two out of three of you are far too incompetent to understand. The other couldn't care less so long as he was able to get through all of this. None of you will ever know what I've gone through in these past few months." she said, being all too unfair to her teamates. She hadn't even learned any of their stories and yet she was making such assumptions. "I watched my own world die. Every single person I cared for and held dear to me have died because I couldn't realize I was a keyblade wielder in time!" she kept on. During her talk, she swung her keyblade around angrily, nearly hitting the others. "I sat there and watched my mother sacrifice herself so I would have enough energy in this stupid crystal to make my journey. Now it's almost empty because I took it for granted..." Ananta had tears in her eyes now from remembering the things that have happened. The crystal was indeed growing rather dark now, but nothing different could be seen. "And even in this...in my greatest moment of despair, none of you can drop the stupid antics long enough to offer REAL words of compassion. Stupid Beuce is still spouting nonsense, Kel doesn't care, and Stratos just doesn't know! I'm sick of it!" she finished, throwing her keyblade down. It clanged against the ground and landed in front of Nequa.

Beuce nodded, listening to Ananta's rant about how crappy her life was.
"I watched my own world die!"
    "Check"
"Every single person I cared for and held dear to me have died because I couldn't realize I was a keyblade wielder in time!
    "
    "Check"
"I sat there and watched my mother sacrifice herself"

"Yep. Ananta, You can tell i mean what i say because i'm almost being serious but, get over yourself. Stop thinking you're the only one with problems. Every one of us has our scars. You aren't the only one who's had problems, dark pasts, all of that. Don't pretend you're so out of place, that we have no idea how you feel. It's a mockery to our pasts, and i don't appreciate it." Beuce said, glaring at the girl. The tension could have been cut with a knife. Even Rienzel himself sat back, staring at what he had just written and thinking "whoa..."

Steel was ready for a fight, or so it looked that way to D'daear. Watching Aux summon these dark globs was an eye opener for the new keyblade wielder. The globs themselves began to possess these gargoyle statues, which in turn came to life. His surprised look was short lived however, as the armored man mentioned a name not familiar to him before. D'daear gave an exaggerated dumbfounded look. "Hikaru? I don't remember there being a Hikaru among us." he said as he turned to watch Base's reaction. No surprise when Base was also asking a similar question. D'daear was now so focused on the gargoyles that he did not notice Aux making his leave. The creatures turned on the keyblade wielding heroes, soon all targeting them with their display weapons. Base was quick to leap into action, showing virtuoso use of his magic. Watching his mentor move about like a true hero brought inspiration for him to move into action as well. "See what I mean?" he commented at D'daear, which as result jogged his memory to what Base had told him before escorting Belle..

Snickering, D'daear locked onto an incoming heartless and began to charge towards it, keyblade positioned at his side like a lancer. The heartless was his for the taking, or so he was so confident in thinking of it. So focused was he on his one target, that before he could get within ten feet of it, he was blindsided by another gargoyle to his left. It smashed its pedestal like lower body into D'daear which resulted in a lot of pain, causing him to wince and lose focus.

Lacking the proper discipline, D'daear yet again let go of his keyblade during the collision, and watched it fly out of his hands before skidding his back against the floor. All he heard was the loud clang of his keyblade colliding with the floor before his momentum came to a rolling halt. "Oooow..." he murmured in pain, slowly rising to his feet while applying pressure to his bruised side with his right hand. The heartless that avoided becoming D'daear's victim was now turning the tables on the him as it leaped towards the inexperienced boy, with axe positioned for a powerful horizontal slash aimed to rip right through its intended target. D'daear was stunned from the pain, and only had enough time to be shocked at the heartless having closed gaped with axe already positioned for the finishing blow.

Glen sat down on the ground, grumbling something about children and taking things that didn't belong to them. "I'm not impairing my senses. Did you even see how graceful I was? It was a thing of beauty, much as I will be in battle, never you worry fair maiden!" he exclaimed with a small, short laugh. He then sighed and hung his head a little. "If it bothers you that much though, like it seems to everyone else, I guess I'll stop for now" Glen agreed, giving up drinking for the moment. He then noticed the singing thugs, and stood up as he took a few steps towards them. "I've got a dream that one day, I'll be stronger than the rest of you, and nobody will ever push me around again, or kill my family again!" he cried out in a drunken outburst, before falling flat on his behind.

"Oh Yes." Steel muttered sarcastically as Aux vanished. "Giving into the darkness and running like a coward are much more rewarding prospects." He barely seemed to notice the chaos that began to ensue around him. That is, until a Gargoyle warrior that had snuck up on him inexplicably found a Keyblade protruding from it's chest. "Hard as rock, aren't you?" He stated sarcastically. He removed Stroke of Midnight, and erased the first of his foes with a quick combo. He saw D'daear in trouble with a Knight and quickly rushed to block the move. After this he attacked with a quick upward swipe and a few more strokes. Two down.

He nodded to D'daear and readied a spell. "Stop!" He shouted. A nearby group of Gargoyles were targeted. A few Knights were immune to the effects, but several warriors fell victim to the incantation. He nodded towards them. "Free targets." He said to D'daear before leaping in to eliminate as many as he could at once. He sliced through two more Warriors as he glanced over toward Krowley... or Hikaru as his name apparently was. He shrugged; The rules of the order stated he would still be called Krowley. The man had barely moved. "He better pull it together soon." He whispered as he dodged an approaching Axe.

Unfortunately their first efforts in cheering Ananta up weren't successful. In fact, all it lead to was Ananta lasing out at them and tossing her keyblade away. This was going to take more effort. Kel had waited til both her and Beuce were done talking before speaking up. "Your right, there's plenty of things that I don't care in the slightest for, but one of the things that I do care about is my comrades and as you can wield a keyblade, that makes you one of them." He did a quick stretch of his arms as his eyes glanced over in Nequa direction. So far she hadn't tried anything and he was hoping that's how it was stay until they were done. "Beuce's right, out of the three er two of us, you might find that your past isn't that bad in comparison." Fortunately this wasn't the team he had in Castle of Dreams, otherwise a comparing of pasts wouldn't go so well. "You don't have to bare this pain along, that's part of the reason you have allies, to have your back when things get rough. Again, glad it wasn't the CoD team when he said that.

She ignored her teammates at the moment. Honestly, she'd had it with partners, and if given the chance she'd fly solo in a heartbeat. But what good would that do her? If she was having a mini crisis while she had people to console her, she couldn't begin to imagine how messed up she'd be if she was alone. Amidst the hustle and bustle of the bar, she felt more grounded than she had in years, and that feat in itself was throwing her for a loop mentally. It wouldn't be good to ponder on it for much longer, or else she'd never stop thinking about it at all. She turned around to see where her teammates were and sure enough it was just more trouble. "Hey. Maybe you guys can snap out of that nightmare and move on to a better dream? We're on a tight schedule, remember?"

The entire thing was going south fast and quite frankly, Stratos was becoming uncharacteristically annoyed. Here there was, someone who clearly had the power to shutdown the two most powerful members of their group. And rather than everyone getting ready to fight this fight, one of their members was having a meltdown. Despite everyone basically telling her how she wasn't worthless, she didn't seem to want to hear anything that they wanted to hear. Instead, when they tried to comfort her, she just started to shut them out more and started to rant about how terrible her past was. It wasn't that Stratos was an uncaring person, it was just that there was a time and place to delve into one's self worth, and one's own tragic story. Right before a fight, that's not an optimal time to do that. Thankfully, Beuce seemed to actually showcase his serious side, or rather, show it more overtly than normal, and Kel was also able to step out of his seeming uncaring shell. However, the fact remained that this masked figure was in front of them, and needed to be dealt with. "Now then, if you think your worthless and everything is too terrible to continue onward, well wouldn't that be a good decision to make after we deal with the enemy in front of us? As Kel said, you aren't going at this alone, and relying on us isn't a bad thing. Lord knows I'd be helpless without the three of you here. So, why don't we get started?"

Kaida listened to the singing, and she started swaying to it, but then Glen's comment made her jump, but only for a moment before she calmed herself down remembering that he was in fact intoxicated. Kaida walked her way over to Rapunzel and Flynn and spoke, "Maybe now is a good time to get out of here and continue on our journey?"

Nequa tilted her head at Ananta's discarded blade. "Aww, some one doesn't like the game I've tried to set... Shame. Mim loves games. Isn't that right Mim?" she yelled to the front hut window.
An old hag's cackle was heard as a short, portly old woman with ragged purple hair fly out on a broomstick. "HEHEHEH!" she laughed, as she surfed along the broom like a surfboard to the rear of the party.
"Hoo hoo hoo! Now it's my turn to play!"
"Madam Mim, you old bat! Your feud is with me!"
"Oh Merlin, you've become to old hat for me. A magical duel with you is no fun anymore! But this group offers up some promise!"
"Well wait just a minute now!" Goofy interrupted. "He's the world's most powerful wizard!"
"Merlin? Ho-ho! Merlin, the world's most powerful bungler. Why, I've got more magic in one little finger. Merlin is nothing compared to me!"
So how about it kiddies... Want to fight against a true magic master? Want to have a wizard's duel?"
