Fortunately due to his Reluctancy spell, which had worn off now, Ananta's picnic/break and Stratos healing him, Kel was feeling a lot better. Eventhough Mim had attempted to blind them once again, it again left Kel with some spots in his eyes, but he could still tell where the witch was and went ahead and attacked her with Barrier Surge.

 

Base had just been completely ignored by just about everyone in the castle. "Plans blow up in your face." Karina's words echoed in his mind. He felt insulted. Yes, there was room for error in his plan, but the plan now was basically his plan without the slightest nod towards him whatsoever. Still... Base had a duty to uphold.

"I'll go where Krowley goes. The practice has served me well so far."

 

Kaida was severely confused by why Glen was trying to get them out into the water. She didn't feel the need, she could see the two fine from here and if anything were to happen that made her feel like something would go wrong she would jump in and go after him. But for now things seemed to do well. Plus, she didn't want to get her new dress wet.

As the sky darkened, she noticed the lanterns start to fly, she was mesmerized by the scene and completely forgot about Flynn and Rapunzel for a minute or so. She then snapped out of it and said, "I'll be back in a second! That was a good idea Cat!" and she ran off and came back with enough lanterns for all of them to have one. She lit hers off and sent it flying with the rest of them. The looked down at Glen in the water and said, "If you wanna light yours off I'd do it before all of them are gone... wow..." she continued to stare at the sky and all it's lanterns. She had never seen the night sky so bright before with light. And that was saying something, because her home-world is a place that is always night.

She looked back at the boat, to see the two together and she whispered, "Those two will be fine..."

 

Kel's reluctancy had run out, but Beuce had yet to use his. They weren't quite healed enough to the point they could outright battle Mim, so Beuce decided to give ananta a little more time for her picnic. Ah, reminded him of his time in Kaylito's house eating handcrafted tables whole. Good times, good times...In order to honor the memory of Kaylito's table, he would drag out this break time for as long as he could. His arm not concealed by his sleeve, the runes which appeared as he activated the thaumaturgy spell were apparent. As no one ever explained what it looked like, Beuce decided that it would be best to make it look as awesome as possible. He held his arm in front of him, as the space between the party and mim turned a thick amber color and cracked, bending and dragging out the space untill it resembled a broken, warped mirror, barely revealing what the enemy was doing behind it. It wouldn't have been too difficult to traverse this broken space, had one the willpower to do so.

 

With the second spell of reluctancy up, Stratos knew what he had to do. Getting picked up by Ana's picnicking was helping out a lot, granted he still felt like he was about to keel over at any second, but regardless, he looked towards the opponent and went along with the plan. Creating a faint glowing brown light on his fingers, he decided to cast another spell, one that he had before but totally didn't need to go through this process before to do so. Tracing them into the outline of a square he said, "oh earthen forces, set those that would trample you ablaze," sweeping his hand through the square he shouted, "mine square!" and created a circle of mines around Mim. Since this wasn't actually an attack, the barrier of reluctancy couldn't stop it.

 

It seemed everyone was picking their teams, most were going to Vincent and Krowley. He figured Karina would, seeming that her earlier reaction to the man was strong. He sighed, it seemed almost none of the key wielders would stay with the Beast, He raised his hand."I'll stay with The Beast. The residents of the castle are strong but these fiends of darkness can only be slain by keybladers. I don't want to end up leaving the beast wide open, I hope you can understand."He said, stepping back to join the other team.

 

D'daear nodded to everyone's suggestions, but ultimately he just went with what Cogsworth ended up saying. It was a Basic and simple plan to which everyone could work with. Heck, they wouldn't even have to worry about the mob themselves. "Alright, just focus on the Big guys. gotcha!" he said, turning to Kross whom he heard had volunteered to escort the lady to her dearly beloved. This made him happy, to see Belle reunited with Beast, so much so that a smile arose on his face. "I'll help out with escorting Belle to Beast too!" he shouted with a lift of his hand to the air. He turned to Base, giving him a thumbs up. "We got this!"

 

"I want to protect that which I find precious. I'll stay with Vincent, Karina and the others." Eon announced after coming out of a light daze. He hadn't really been paying much attention until Vincent said something about him. Nonetheless, the time was coming near when they would need to defend the castle from the oncoming siege. Hopefully, with their numbers, they could hold them off. Protecting Beast and Belle were the most important things right now.

 

Cat sighed after Glen jumped in, shaking her head. Honestly, he was acting like things could only be done in extremes. They could see the boat just fine from the pier, and jumping in wasn't necessary yet. She saw Kaida run off to get some lanterns for the group and smiled. She decided to lie down on the pier, making sure that she wasn't anywhere near the edge, and looked up at the bright sky. She'd never seen anything so mesmerizing. Her world was all buildings and pavement. You couldn't find anything like this if you tried. Kaida came back with four lanterns and handed one to each person. She let hers fly quickly but Cat took her time lighting hers. Even when the flame was burning within, she held onto it a bit longer. It was warm, and in some ways it reminded her of home. She was flat against the boards of the pier, holding the fragile thing in her hands, and saw all the lanterns come together to illuminate the night sky. "This one's for you, ma. I'll be back soon. I promise." She let it go on its own, not pushing it away or holding it back. It joined the others at its own pace, and that was more than enough.

 

Steel nodded from his position next to Luna. "Very well then. Luna and I shall aid the Beast with Kross and D'daear." He hoped Luna didn't mind him speaking for her. He had only done because the group was to be arranged evenly, and saw where the last two slots lie. It should be stated though that Steel was glad of his position, as he had made it his mission to personally see beast through.

 

Ananta watched each of her party members doing their own thing while Ananta...just kept eating. She was far too hungry to do anything at the moment. "Yeah go team go, beat her up. At least...beat her up when you aren't abusing some magic shield thing." she said, starting on the large turkey. She took one of the legs in her mouth and watched as the hp of all her party members began to heal up again. "Amazing, I can heal everyone without them even eating with me. It's perfect." she said, gulping down some juice.

Ananta continued to use BREAK TIME!

 

And just like that Mim went back to how she started this fight, floating in the air. With the addition of another blinding light, man she really wanted to blind them it seemed. Still they were at least being healed by Ananta's picnic. Strange yes, but it got them healed so it didn't matter too much. Now the current probelm at hand was while neither side could attack due to reluctancy, it would wear off soon and it would be better to either get Mim on the ground or prevent her from murdering all of them in one fail swoop again. So Kel went with the latter and decided to summon a recently acquired ally. "Marahute! It's showtime!"

 

Kaida continued to watch the lanterns, staring in awe at them and getting happier when she saw Cat let off her lantern. She finally let out a grunt and jumped into the water holding the lantern above the water to avoid it getting wet. She walked over to Glen with her head almost completely under the water and she growled, "Light it off or I'm lighting it off for you."

 

Beuce decided that with break time, along with Marahute, they had enough sustain and didn't really need a mega-potion. So, due to lack of time, Beuce decided to just use a combo in a short post.

Also...over 9000 or...something...Obligatory reference go.

 

"We got this!"

Base trusted these words as well as the person who said it.

"I know you'll be able to do this, D'daear. Pay attention to the people you're fighting with, and make sure you always keep your mission in mind. It's a large and heavy task, but I think by now that you are ready to face the challenge. You're quickly rising to equal the rest of us." Base placed one hand on D'daear's shoulder and looked at the Keyblader with pride. "Good luck, my friend."

 

Glen held his left hand up. "Fine, but don't blame me if Rapunzel gets kidnapped or something" he said gruffly, as he took a quick glance around. It seemed nobody was watching, or at least nobody that hadn't already seen them use magic. Keeping that in mind, Glen released a small fireball. Not enough to set the whole lantern enough, but he did put a small flame within it. "Go ahead and let it go now if you want" the keyslinger said. He wasn't too fussed over the lantern, he was still trying to think of ways to jog Kaida's memory.​

 

Alright, so Stratos was now given a grace period in order to preform his action, and so he was going to preform this action like no ones business here. With both of Ana and Kel going on the support side with Ana continuing her weird revitalizing picnic and Kel summoning...Stratos had legit no idea what that was, and Beuce going for a punching attack, Startos did the only thing he could do. Since punching an airborne enemy would prove to probably be fruitless, Stratos decided to use an attack that actually suited his offensive stat and was meant to be used as an attack rather than a limit builder. With his hand glowing a faint light blue now, Stratos traced an asterisk and said, "oh chilled air create a shard to pierce my enemy through," swiping his hand through the asterisk, Stratos pointed two of his fingers at Mim, with his thumb up. When the thumb came down Stratos said, "blizzard!" and fired a chunk of ice out of his fingers.

 

Etrius didn't have anything to say while on the boat. It didn't even bother him when Glen sparked some fire. What he was bothered by was the fact was how Rapunzel ended up in that tower in the first place. it didn't make any sense as to why she was there. Though he was more than happy that she was in good hands, while he was staring out into the water, he had a strange feeling that he and his colleagues were stirring up trouble.
"Have any of you been wondering as to why Rapunzel was locked up in that tower?" Etrius asked aloud, "Because I have a feeling: Whoever created that tower, built with no stairs, no ladder, no anything, must've wanted Rapunzel to remain up there. Did anyone get the same thought?"
