Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

Steel was personally quite ticked that Beast had been attacked out of nowhere; Base he didn't mind as much, it was their job after all. The point was Base was working and was more than capable of handling himself. Beast on the other hand was the Master of the Castle and should in no way be provoked on his own land. Steel summoned his keyblade - Stroke of Midnight - and readied a spell.

He was looking forward to using the blades unique abilities in this battle, as it's advantageous mystic capabilities were sure to come in handy for fights such as this; especially for Kross. He focused on the creature before him. "Such insolence." He whispered. "Your punishment shall come through time itself! Stopra!" A giant clock appeared, over the Dark thorn, indicating that the creature would be out of commission for a while. "We should move in now!" He pointedly informed his allies.

 

Dark Thorn hopped around wildly, swinging from pillar to pillar. It was a red-haired, virtual wrecking ball of fury. It had attacked once, and nothing was stopping it from attacking again. It brought up one of its tremendous claws to bring down as it leaped directly in front of party, only to be victim to a fleeting bleeping noise; Dark Thorn had exited their present flow of time to be knocked back into a liquified previous stream. Stopra being more powerful than Stop, but less powerful than Stopga, the might Boss moved the slightest hair length every few seconds. It would take the monster some time to reach its intended target.

Luna ran into the ballroom with the Beast now in the group's party. As she ran in she saw Dark Thorn appear right in front of them. Luna stopped in her tracks and a slight smirk danced across her face. "Now this is my kind of party!" She saw the group take their positions to fight this heartless. Luna did a tour* in mid-air and landed with her left arm extended out to her left side, her right arm extended upwards, and her left leg crossing her right. "Let's dance!"She summoned her keyblade to her hand as she prepared herself for this "dance".

Luna had saw Steel cast Stopra on their opponent. She knew that she was up next. Luna smirked once more toward Dark Thorn. "Now that's impolite....letting the girl lead the dance...oh well, here's what you get for that!" Luna cartwheeled her way toward Dark Thorn, placing her keyblade on the heel of her right foot. The keyblade had started to glow purple as she slammed her keyblade which was attached to her right foot on Dark Thorn. She backhand sprang to her spot, grabbing her keyblade from her right foot. "Who's up next?"

LUNA USED POISON EDGE!

Beast roared loud enough to shake the transformed ballroom. From out of the hallway, furniture collected together to form a barrier between the slow moving monster and the party. "When he strikes, now he'll only scatter my servants." Trunks, Wardrobes, and dressers made up the bulk of the wall protecting the party, all ready to guard their master and Prince.

Base side-stepped as the arrows came showering down. The attack landed out of range of where he started out, so it became evident he was good to begin with. Even though Eon managed to dodge, Karina was hit by the platform-based archers.

"Fry!" Base cursed at the little Heartless Demons, raising his Keyblade in the air forcefully to bring a crack of lightning down on the Infernal Engine.

 

The opponent had arrived. Kind of... This boss was much different then Gaston, the one expected. Eon would do the same strategy nonetheless.

"I summon you, Basil! Point out the weakness of my foe!" Eon announced loudly. Basil was always going to be the first summon. Then the 3 caballeros could increase the amount of criticals. Eon mastering the summoning... turning into a little boy Yuna.

 

Finally, the pain known as Mim was defeated and they could have a few seconds to rest. When he heard Ananta, he simply gave them a thumbs up in agreement. Then Stratos mention headed back to the sword. While he wasn't all that concerned about the sword, Walt on the other hand was a different story, especially now that the caster of the golems that they'd left was also gone. "Yeah, I don't think Walt and the Golems can handle them on their own.

 

Kaida looked over at Cat and listened to her suggestion and thought about it for a moment, then she heard Glen's response. She nodded over at Glen and then she added in, "I also feel like it would be safer to have her with us rather than leave her." she looked back over at Rapunzel, who clearly had a face of determination to save her mother. Kaida then continued on saying, "The faster we get there, the faster we can have this handled."

Kaida eventually got them to a cavern, she recognized this side of the cavern from when Maximus and she had found it earlier. Kaida took a step into the cave constantly checking back not necessarily to see how others were doing, but to see how Rapunzel was doing.

 

Despite his urge to charge ahead, Glen had indeed slowed down to fit in with the pace of everyone else. He wasn't sure of the way back, so he was forced to stay back with them. The moment he saw Vanitas though, he planned to run forward and bring him down instantly if he could manage it. He was taking no chances, there would be no mercy for the apprentice. All that had been taken away from him in the same way he had taken away Rapunzel's mother. The boy walked behind Kaida, making sure he didn't fall behind, and all the while wishing things were progressing faster.

 

Kross was about to reply to D'Dear when the Beast called them over. As they escorted the Beast, Kross remained silent. Things were tense, when they finally got to the Ballroom, there was nothing there. Instead, a darkness gathered and Kross immediately covered his nose and mouth, feeling nausious. That was until the the darkness manifested, first into a ball and then into a beastly figure, a Heartless by his assumption. He tensed up, this one seemed powerful, but he swallowed down his fear and his keyblade flashed in his hand in a flurry of autumn leaves. Twitterpated appeared in his hand, as faithful as ever and he took a stance, keyblade pointed in a slanted motion behind him and his hand forward, a typical mage stance.

The players went first, Beast with providing protection along with Luna putting the initial hurt on the monster. He aimed his keyblade forward, the tip glowing a cyan blue before he spoke."Freeze!" He shouted, hurling a magical chunk of ice at the creature.

Everyone around him was now waging battle against the heartless that threatened this castle. It was amazing how everyone worked together to bring down the large monstrous heartless that stood before them. Steel having been the fastest, had cast a spell; the same spell in which he had used on the smaller possessors back when they were brawling with the sixty. He had used the same spell back then on a few of them to help give D'daear an edge in the fight; we was new to all this after all. Seeing how powerful the magic was, it still amazed D'daear. Steel could even stop time surrounding a monster of this caliber! Then it was Luna, and Kross's turn. They all had style, and technique which he looked up too; considering he was still new. "Just how far do I have to go to catch up to them?" he pondered while multi-tasking as he ran past the fortress that had been constructed on Beast's command, and with an attempt at style, slammed the tip of his keyblade on the floor whilst using his forward moment to pivot on the tip of the blade like a dancer's pole. Reaching full cycle on the swing, he pushed off the floor by commanding the muscles in his arm to grip the weapon tight, and exert the force needed to push using the tip of the of the blade. With the current moment, and proper force utilize to push of the floor, he managed to slide on the ballroom floor towards the motionless heartless. He slammed through the monster with all he had, inevitably his joy ride ending a few feet away. He quickly ran back to the safety of the wall of servants, wondering if he had done any good with all that.

D'daear used Sliding Dash!

Though everybody had finally caught up, Etrius was still wanting to fight. He squirmed as they moved together, all they way at the front. He twitched occasionally in anticipation. The dark tint to his skin didn't fade, indicating he was still in the mood to fight.
Currently, all Etrius could think was fighting. Fighting against Vanitas, that is. Even as Kaida and Cat talked about Rapunzel, Etrius didn't even think twice about them. As "The faster we get there, the faster we can have this handled." Kaida was saying as Etrius padded into the cave. Etrius' eyes narrowed slightly, even though it was hard to tell, considering that his skin was nearly pitch-black.
"If we want to get there fast, pick up pace. I am getting impatient." Etrius growled. Even his speech was getting less cognitive. He looked at Glen, seeing if he would agree with him.

Cat listened to their arguments about bringing Rapunzel along, and as much as she understood their case, she didn't want to risk her getting hurt on their watch. She'd never met this masked creep, but he looked strong. If he turned out to be too much to handle... she preferred not to think about that. Etrius started shouting as they ran through the cave, his words starting to slur. He wasn't even bothering with proper grammar at this point, and that worried her. He'd already been consumed by darkness once, and she hoped it wouldn't come to that again, especially with so much at stake. "This doesn't quite feel right. If we're gonna do this, we have to be on our toes. We can't just run in blindly. And yeah, I'm talking mostly to you two knuckleheads." She kept her breaths steady so she was coherent as they ran. She looked to Kaida and started speaking softly. "If worst comes to worst, you keep her safe. This feels too easy. The guys might be running on brawns, but we have to think if we're gonna stay safe."

 

Glen heard what was said, but he showed no signs of it. His focus was phenomenal at that point, nothing on his mind but defeating Vanitas. He may have been overreacting to everything that was going on, but he didn't care. Regardless of what Cat was saying, he still had every intention of going in blindly. It may not have been the smartest idea, but the longer they stood around trying to make a plan the less chance there was of Vanitas actually being there, and Rapunzel's mother being alive.

 

Kaida listened to Cat's comments and she nodded and replied, "I agree... it does feel too easy..." When she got to the end of the cavern she quickly looked back to make sure everyone was caught up. As she looked forward, she realized what was in front of her. She stared wide-eyed at the beast now outside of the cavern, the one she wouldn't know was named the Thresholder, but now the reader did. Kaida took a quick breath and summoned out her keyblade and looked back at Cat, "I wish I didn't say that now, I would have been fine with it being easy."

 

Glen stopped near Kaida. His keyblade, Oathkeeper, was summoned. While it didn't look all that threatening the look on Glen's face said otherwise. He wore an expression of grim determination, and to some extent, bloodthirsty fury. Staring straight at the Thesholder, he slowly raised the weapon. He was ready to strike down the creature, and he wanted to do it quickly. This...this thing was all that stood between him and a showdown with Vanitas. He raised Oathkeeper high and began running at the Thresholder, adrenaline pumping through his veins.
