Luna looked toward the ground as she felt herself sink into the floor. She tried pulling up her ankles to get out of what seemed to be a tar pit. "When I get out of this, you're gonna be my next dinner!!" Luna shouted toward Dark Thorn as she continued to pull her legs out. After a bit, she stopped and thought about her next move. She looked toward D'daear and saw that he was looking a little under the weather. Luna called forth her keyblade and pointed it toward D'daear. "Aerora!" She had casted Aerora on D'daear just in case any more damage was put upon him.

Kross was mired in tar, he couldn't move and he gave a cry out as he was hit, heavy damage was done and as the tar vanished, his shoulders slouched and his keyblade became heavy. He shook the stars from his eyes, he had one chance to heal himself, but it was either him or the others. He lifted his keyblade up, but then aimed his Keyblade to D'dear, green light would sound D'Dear, he would slouch forward again, weakened by the loss of magic and his wounds.

The Dark Thorn's last attack had left everyone weakened. One thing was being hit by the possessor, but that big bad Heartless? Now that was a completely different story. Slouching on his knees, D'daear settled the tip of his keyblade on the floor while leaning on it with his head hung low. "Didn't think that big one had it in him..." he uttered, slowly looking up at the invader. He couldn't give up, though. Not while his friends were on the line. Suddenly, everything began to play out. Steel had once again BOUGHT them some time with his mighty Stop spell. The boss now stood still, falling prey to the magic that was Steels. His morale was beginning to rise again, especially when he felt a surge of wind surround him. Shocked at first, he no sooner realized that it was all part of the unbreakable teamwork between them. And the gifts of life just kept pouring in! After Luna had cast a protective wind barrier around him, Kross had jumped in as well and healed him with his magic!

It felt great to have teammates he could depend on. Now it was his turn to return the favor. With a boosted morale, he rose from his crouch and rummaged his pockets for his mega-potion. "Thanks guys! Here!" he said out loud with joy.

Noting that the heartless was now ignoring all damage, Krowley decided to help his friends go on the defensive. A quick point towards Karina, he let loose an aero spell. "Defense!" wind sprouted in a spherical shape around the girl, halving any future damage to her thanks to the aerora spell. From what he could tell, the battle was nearly sixty percent over with, meaning they only had to hang in a little longer.

Glen skidded back from the impact that Thresholder had done. It had stung quite a bit, and he could most certainly feel it. It appeared Kaida had felt it more though, being knocked out on the ground, and Etrius, Cat, and Rapunzel would have surely felt it too. This battle was getting more dangerous by the second, something had to be done. Glen glanced to Mushu on his shoulder, who had been spitting out fireballs for quite some time now. How he had kept it up for so long, he had no idea, but he was thankful all the same. "Thanks for helping, Mushu, but I've got it from here on out" he said, as Mushu stopped firing his fireballs and simply disappeared; his job as a summon completed.

He had told Mushu he had the battle handled, and he intended to live up to his word. One ally had gone down already, he wasn't going to tolerate another one. With a huge rush of Adrenaline he raced forward and began his assault. He was swinging his keyblade with extraordinary proficiency, knocking the hands onto a mine each, then he attacked the left one and hit it onto the other mine that was sitting nearby. There was only one more mine nearby from what he could tell, and he had to make it count or else all was for nothing. With a huge leap Glen went up into the sky and came crashing down onto the Thresholder as it prepared to do a two-handed strike on it and slammed the fists into the other mine.

Unfortunately for Glen, he hadn't planned it out entirely, and as the hands went onto the mine, so did he. The force of the impact hit him and sent him flying away from it, landing a short distance away from it with a loud thud. "Ouch..did not think that one through" he commented. He looked back to where the Thresholder had been, seeing that the smoke from the explosions was now gone. In its place sat a regular door, no longer a heartless. The heartless was defeated.

"I'm afraid we don't have many shots left with Dumbo. I'll have my own Aqua Splash to help deal damage, and I think we can all pull through for right now. Make it count, everyone; we're in the last legs, and I've got to say: this is one of the best fights I've ever had." The atmosphere was sheer rhapsody, as the Infernal Engine creaked and rattled before them. They had worn the best down, and now it was time to finish things off. "Fire!" Base directed Dumbo with his Keyblade to shoot with the ferocity of a fire hydrant back home in Theate. "There's a good elephant." Base patted the young pachyderm on the forehead. Dumbo replied with such glee to the simple gesture, Base was nearly knocked off his feet by the happy little "blatt"released from Dumbo's trunk.

Eon was seriously grooving like mad. Dodging the attacks 3 times in a row? That was some serious dance skills he got going on or it was just the luckiest thing ever, enough luck to make him be accused of being a hunter. Nonetheless, he was still untouched and the break time continued on.

With Eon using Breaktime Karina now had two options now. She could either continue with her original plan, which was setting using Aerial slam again. Or she now had a chance to use Mushu's limit before he left. This was his last attack and she wanted to make it count. "Don't fail me now Mushu." She mumbled under her breath, hoping she was making the right choice and using Mushu's limit would in fact do more damage then she would do with him on their own. If it didn't she only had herself to blame and would feel really bad for letting down the team. Karina knew how much damage she could do on her own however. Karina changed her mind last minute not using the limit she was thinking of using. Instead she would use her original plan and let Mushu continue doing his own thing. Karina leaped into the air and came down on the giant machine slapping it into the ground. It was almost over. Karina wiped the air out of her face and glanced at Krowley knowing he could finish this hunk of junk off.

"W-where do you think you're going? I'm not done with you yet!"

Kaida stood there heavily breathing, close to collapsing but still holding on. The figure in front of her turned around and spoke, "What's left for you? All advances have been parried. Your predictability is what weakens you"

Kaida shook her head and yelled back, "I'm still standing, and you're the one who's walking away! I'm not out just yet."

The figure walked right back up to her, and pushed a finger against her forehead and as she fell she dropped her weapon and shouted, "H-hey!"

The figure hovered over her and replied, "Know your limits, or burn like the heat of the sun."
"Stop talking like some prophet or I'll really have to knock you out."
"Stop talking like you have a chance. Or I really will finish you off."
"I do have a chance! But you don't have the guts to finish me off do ya?"

The figure raised it's keyblade and answered, "You shouldn't test your luck."
"Stop!"

Kaida woke up from being knocked out, fully alert and searching around frantically to make sure everyone was okay. But from what she could tell, she was the only one who was not okay. Kaida's breathing slowed down as she rose herself up from the ground and quickly applauded, "You guys did it-! ow..." Kaida grabbed her side and replied, "Wow that guy packed a punch."

Glen stopped where he was, as he looked at the door. What was the purpose of it? Where did it even lead? His attention was taken from the door for a moment as Kaida regained consciousness at last. The princess was awake, but it didn't seem like she had any recollection of her past, at least she didn't mention any. "Yeah, we did. No idea how Mushu could spit so many fireballs at such a high speed, that little lizard sure does work fast" Glen commented, actually somewhat impressed with how tough Mushu was. Why couldn't he have been that useful in the land of dragons? It sure would have helped against Shan-Yu, rather than him sitting there yelling morale support. Glen shuddered at the memory. That Hun had made a mockery of him.

Shaking off the thought, Glen looked in the direction they had been going. Somewhere in that direction, somewhere over there, was Vanitas and his cowardly act. He would pay. The princess' recollection would have to wait for the moment, until Vanitas was stopped. "Are you alright? Can you walk? We need to get to Vanitas as soon as we can" he asked Kaida, trying to hurry them along.

The boss fell to the ground and started to fall apart.It seemed to be nothing more then an over sized wooden machine. Karina looked at the others then down at the ground as the aura of wind faded around her. How many times in that battle did she rely on others for support? If only she was stronger she could have killed it faster and not needed Eon and Krowley, to protect her. "Aw come on girl you did good. None of that pouty face now." The little red dragon said. "Mushu you shouldn't be here anymore! Just go!" She ordered him knowing his time to help was up. "Hey that's not fair. I just wanted to see how the battle ended, and I glad I did." Karina was already remembering why she found the lizard annoying. She decided to deal with it Glen style. She lowered the tip of her keyblade to the ground then swung it back. She paused before swinging it down at Mushu sending him flying. "If you where a real dragon you could just fly away yourself." She grumbled as she turned from Mushu and looked towards the castle. "Guess we should see how the others are doing." Her tone was not impressed and rather angry as she spoke. One would think they should be happy after finishing the battle they had, but truth be told Karina was never happy with anything she did.
