"There are some more!" Aden called, indicating a group of Red Nocturnes gleefully spewing flames into the trees. He rushed in and took out a few of them, drawing the other Heartless' attention away from the trees and towards the Keywielders.

Karina chuckled a bit. "Things just keep looking more and more bleak don't they?" She asked, not expecting an answer. She stood up straight, out of breath from the last blow that she took and attacked.

The final heartless twinged as it was about to cast another fire spell. Most of the animals had retreated leaving only the party and the waves of flames that surrounded them. From the depths of the fiery thicket, Bambi came and rammed down the heartless with his antlers.
"*Cough* All the animals are out. We have to evacuate to the river. With any luck, the fire should pass the Northern ridge," he instructed. He nudged the group forward in hopes of escaping as quickly and safely as possible.

 

"Right," Aden said. The threat of the Heartless gone, he let his Keyblade vanish and he flew above the group to see where the river was, and to check that there were no stragglers in the group.

Karina was getting seriously annoyed with this thing when Shapur fainted. She got ready and attacked pretty sure her blow would be the last one. /she was done fighting this thing.

The seemingly endless fight had come to a close, with Shapur knocked out, and the unversed slowly deteriorating.
Since the Magic Mirror battle had used most of their provision, the party remained fairly short handed and had just barely made it out intact.
Before Krowley went to check on the rest of the group, he noted the poison that still lay on his keyblade. The purple residue seemed to have been absorbed by his weapon, as did the others.

Luna learned Poison Edge!
Shapur learned Poison Edge!

He proceeded to Shapur and the others to ensure they were safe to move on.
"Everyone alright?"

Back at the riverbank, many animals were cold and tired. Small mice coughed out black puffs of smoke, and birds seemed unable to fly for the time being. Half of there forest was engulfed in flames, and yet Bambi stood over, looking at the horizon. The flames were slowly dispersing, leaving black smoke to cover the sky surrounding the south end of the forest. Thumper hopped to the foot of his friend and looked up. "What do we do now?"
Bambi continue to stare at the sky with a neutral face. It showed not sadness, or bliss, but just a face that was waiting for something to happen.
"We wait, Thumper."
"Wait for what? Is the answer gonna come falling from the sky?"
"In a sense," he comforted. Thumper raised a brow, but nonetheless, sat and stared with his friend.

Within seconds a drop of water hit the bunny's nose. He looked up, only to have one fall onto his left eye. The pattern continued all around, droplet after droplet of water until the entire forest was being covered by dark clouds and rain.
"It's Spring, Thumper... Time for new beginnings and April showers."
The smoke began to lift and the grim sight looked almost serene. One half colored green, while the other was the color of charcoal.
"The man never stopped to realize that my heart didn't lie in just one thing... I resent him for many things, for they are unforgivable, but if he thinks I will lose sight of the light, then he's wrong. there is always a sun behind looming clouds of darkness. And when those clouds clear, the sun will shine twice as bright." He offered a light, optimistic smile. "I know that doesn't suffice as an excuse to what he did, but I know my mom wouldn't want me to be a killer, or lose sight of what's most important to me; this forest and the people I protect within it. They are my heart now." He paused and looked off into the distance at something on the burned side of the forest. the resting spot where the lake was, had dried and revealed an odd shape.
"What an odd shape..."

"I'm fine." Karina said. Her tone of voice was not friendly, just annoyed. She looked over at Luna thinking "If she does one thing to annoy me, she is dead. I don't want to deal with anymore crap right now." Karina turned back to Krowley with a bit of a scowl still on her face. "So what now. I would really like to put that masked kid in his place right about now. Or better yet his master." Karina realized she was still gripping her keyblade with a death grip and let go, allowing it to disappear from her hand.
