Video Game: Kingdom Hearts SOS: The Road To Light

"Oh f*ck." Etrius said as he saw Luna's eyes close. " Everyone! I need help here!" He called out. Etrius bent down to check her pulse. It was steady. He stood up and gritted his teeth. His anger and competiveness had caused an accident, one which he was responsible for. He lowered his head, mortified, angry, and afraid. "What will happen to Luna?" He asked to himself. he pulled his hood over his head, and fell completely silent.

 

Kel had managed to block the attack form Steel, but before he could do anything Luna had collapsed. "Crap, time out." He said before heading over to her aid. He turned to the man that Luna was sparring with. "You stay here and keep and eye on her, I'll try to find a mystic." W.ith that said, he quickly called Kross over to them since he was the closer one in the area

 

it seemed sparring time was over, they were calling over a mystic so he decided he didnt need to worry about her performing her function. he retreated inside to the main hall. "Well there goes my plans for a test." he said. it seemed that Master yen sid was still talking with the armored figure so he figured he'd just look around the castle. thats when he spotted it. "Is that...?"

 

Everyone had ran off, apparently to train. And while it interested her, she didn't see them any more than a bunch of kids or strangers at this point. Sure it would be nice to see how they fought to gauge their skills in case they turned out to be tricking her - she'd need to fight them then - but... But, well, she couldn't be bothered right now. Too sleepy.

With a yawn she moved to the nearest wall and put her back to it. Cold. It caused a slight shiver but after that she adjusted. Yana then slid down the wall after crossing her arms and sat there, eyes closed. It was what people referred to as a warrior's nap; the body rested but the mind stayed alert. It was a very useful trick her brother taught her while he was on leave once. That was his only break from the army he ever had before vanishing so thinking about it wasn't exactly pleasant, so the memories were pushed aside.

A few moments passed and she was no longer feeling tired but continued to rest. It was quiet in this part of the castle... Normally silence was welcomed but now it felt eerie. Was something wrong? The air felt off...

After taking a deep breath she sighed out 'not my problem.'

 

Etrius kept watching Luna. Still angry and afraid, he thought over about what he had done. He hoped that he didn't hurt her too badly. "It's my anger." He said aloud, "I was thinking about that masked boy who slew both of my parents in cold blood..she had nothing to do with it, and now look what I've done." He sat down right next to Luna, keeping an eye on her.

 

"No its not." Steel said to himself. "But it is similar..." he wondered to himself. He walked over to the almanac and flipped through the pages. "Indeed it is a reservoir of knowledge. This could prove useful." He took out the seed that he had only just stashed before challenging kel. "I knew this would come in handy soon." A pale light shone from the crystal. It was as unearthly as his own glow. He lowered his hand into the book, which rippled like water when he touched it. He dropped the seed in, and removed his hand from the book.

 

Since Kross was being busy with Karina, Etrius decided to carry Luna inside to rest. He gently grabbed one of her arms and put it on his shoulder while using his other arm to grab her waist. "I can't just leave her here." He muttered and started walking towards the palace. If he was going to make up for his error, this was his answer. "I'm sorry I hurt you Luna," Etrius said to her, though she was still unconcious, "I wasn't being myself since training even started, much less when I arrived here. I could tell you weren't, running out crying like that," He went through his memories on rewind, "We all make mistakes, but hopefully, you'll forgive mine."

 

A big smile covered Kross's features as he was pushed back by Karina's strength. Looked like she wasn't so fragile after all, she was a good fighter with good strength. He managed to side step her jab, just barely and swung up, attempting to knock her weapon from her hand.

 

Etrius opened the doors of the Guild Hall and saw another girl taking a nap by the wall. He walked passed the girl, Luna still in his arms and entered one of the many rooms in the Guild Hall. He lay Luna down on the clean bed and pulled a chair up to the bedside. Etrius had a lot on his mind. What would happen to Luna? Would she be alright, even without the Cure ability for that matter? All those question plagued Etrius' mind as he opened one of the windows. "Kross!" He shouted out the window, "I need you inside the building. Luna has been injured!" He then checked Luna's pulse again. Still stable. Etrius sat down in the chair again, and decided to take a nap to pass the time.

 

"Leonidas will likely be able to find the information in the book useful." Steel mused. "In the meantime, i should try once again to see if these young beings will be of any use to me..." He took his attention away from the book and decided he should go and see if the girl named Luna was alright.

 

Kel just simply sighed as he leaned against the wall. Maybe he should've become a Mystic after all, it probably would've been better than doing nothing right now. Too late to change my mind now, especially after what I promised dad. That was part of the reason he chosen the warrior path in the first place. While it did have it's moments of greatness, the lack of magic was a problem sometimes.

 

Being a mystic, Kross was clearly light on his feet. He strafed back a few steps from her stuck out leg, retaking a stance and smiled at her. She was quite a strong fighter, and had his admiration, it was just her quiet and cold nature that put him off. He wanted to be friends with her, but she had to be the one to let him in."Karina, you're good...no...you're great.."He complimented, his smile bright, and then he took a fighting stance."But I'll end your winning streak, here and now. get ready"He said, playfully taunting her before charging and went in for a horizontal slash.

 

Steel's speed was his greatest strength. He used it to quickly find the room where Etrius had taken Luna amoung the labrynth of doors that he found unfamiliar. He walked in to see Etrius sleeping in a chair and Luna passed out on a bed. He sensed that Etrius was Blaming himself for Luna's Injury. He wanted to cheer him up, but would rather not have woken him up to spout words that the being would think of as having "Deeper Meaning". he sat down in a chair and crossed his arms. "What have I gotten myself into?" he Wondered.

 

Kross strafed backwards in an attempt to evade her attacks and he felt her keyblade hit his, jumping back a bit."A competitive spirit huh? Well, you're not the only one with it."He said with a grin. Her announcement of her spell made him raise his keyblade and slid back a little as he defended against the attack."That's how you wanna play huh?"

 

Etrius awoke to find Steel in the room looking at him. Etrius looked at Luna, who was still unconscious. He turned back to Steel. "Has Kross come in yet?" Etrius asked

 

"Fraid not."Steel replied. He could tell Etrius was worried, but he didn't know what to say. Dealing with emotional beings wasn't his specialty. Most of the ones he knew seemed to hate him. "I can't tell him something I don't mean" Steel thought. So he decided the best way to deal with the situation was logically. "It wasn't your fualt," he said. "Even if you were playing a little rough."

 

Underneath Etrius' hood, his yellow eyes hardened at Steel's last comment. "A little rough? I never knew she was injured to start with!" Etrius' tone had become cold, resentful. "I felt like cracking enemy skulls to blow off steam, instead, I chopped through 26 wooden dummies and cause an accident? You call my anger little? You have no idea what I've been through!" Etrius turned, shaking. "To see your own parents slain before your own eyes....what a joke!" By this time, Etrius had summoned his Keyblade, and dark smoke started t rise from his shoulders.
