Has anyone noticed how the first kingdom hearts game says Square - Enix on the case but yet wen it loads up it says Squaresoft??
Do you have the Greatest Hits version? I dunno if that would have anything to do with it, and I'm not in position to look at mine and see if it is the same.
No i dont i just have plain old kingdom hearts, just load up the first part of the game its actually squaresoft not square enix
cause...i think 2003, they changed the companies' name to square-enix........just correct e if i'm wrong
Thats right, Square Changed their Name in 2003 I'm pretty sure , so maybe it was like a reprint of the original box or something. If you could send in a pic that might help.
We can all see it on our copy. Kingdom Hearts was released on 2002 and the merger happened a year later. If you don't believe me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squaresoft
So, since squaresoft got financial issues, they joined with enix to fix their account in 2003, not sure what i'm saying, but am i right?
You could be...but since with the The Spirits Within did not do so well, that Square had to do something and there did.
The reason Kingdom Hearts say Squaresoft when you play the disc but the packaging says Square-Enix on the Greatist Hits case is because of when the game was made. Kingdom Hearts was developed and shipped out before Squaresoft merged with Enix, but when the Greatist Hits re-released Kingdom Hearts, it was packaged as Square-Enix as that was the new company name. But the game was officially released before Squaresoft merged so that didn't change.
