"Come on Ri. We're up next."Sora put Riku back in his pokeball and headed out to the stage. Valerie sighed.

 

"Let's hope it's you and Zo in the finals," Jeffrey said to Val.

 

"Uh-huh...."Valerie said nervously.

 

"What moves do I have besides Rock Slide and Screech?" Jeffrey asked.

OOC: I'd say I have Rock Slide, Screech, Rock Smash, and Dark Pulse.

 

Valerie checked the Pokedex. "It says Rock Slide, Screech, Rock Smash, and Dark Pulse...."she said. "I wonder what moves Riku has besides Ice Beam and Blizzard..."

 

"I bet we'll find out now," Jeffrey said, turning his head to the monitor.

 

Riku was going up against a Chimchar. Not the best choice with a pokemon that knows ice moves. "Okay Riku jump up and use Blizzard!"Sora said. Riku jumped and fired a blizzard attack. The Chimchar fired an ember attack, but instead of meltin the blizzard attack turned to glitter that shone on Rikus white fur. The crowd cheered. Riku landed on his feet, not a scratch on him. "Now jump into the water!"Sora said. Riku nodded and jumped into the pool of wate that was on the stage.

"A waterv field?"Valerie squeaked.

 

"A water field with out Water Pokemon?" Jeffrey asked.

 

"I think there are water pokemon..."Valerie said, noting a girl with a Piplup.

 

"Yeah, but having it during a battle with a Chimchar..." Jeffrey replied.

 

"They probablyhave something up their sleeve."Valerie said.

"Chimchar, Use flamethrower at full blast on the water!" Chimchar used flamethrower on the water, heating it up to boiling point. Riku immediantly jumped out of the water, not wantig to be boiled. "Ice beam!"Sora said. Riku usd Ice beam and managed to freeze the water. Suddenly his tail glowed and as he struck the ice with it, he split the ice into shards that hit Chimchar. "Alright, Iron tail."Sora whispered.

"Maybe he knows Shadow ball...."Valerie said. "Absol is a dark type...."

 

"Yeah," Jeffrey said. "Let's hope it can help him."

 

Riku groaned. For some reason he felt dizzy. He wbble a bit tryin to maintain balance."Riku, you okay?"Sora asked. Riku nodded andshot an ice beamat Chimchar. Chimchar shot a flame thrower that collided with the ice beam, pushing it back. "Jump!"Sora said. Riku jumped to dode the flamethrower and landed behind Chimchar. "Iron tail!"Riku struck Chimchar with an iron tail, sending it into the water.

The Chimcar floated back up, fainted. "Thats it! The winner is Sora!"The announcer said. Sora smiled. "Riku we did it!"He ran over to Riku and cuddled him. Riku blushed.

"Wow...."Valerie was impressed.

 

Jeffrey sighed in relief. "That was pretty close."

 

Sora and Riku came up to them, Riku still trying to shake off the dizziness. "You okay Ri?"Valerie asked, petting Rikus head. Riku barely managed to nod. "Don't overdo yourself, Ri. It might hurt the baby."Sora whispered, kneeling down and petting Riku.

 

"You need to be careful," Jeffrey agreed.

 

"okay..."Riku said, Sora petting him.

 

"We're next, right?" Jeffrey asked Val.

 

I think we're the last battle.... Good, we need to prepare."Valerie said. "Riku, rest up until the next round."Sora said, putting Riku in his pokeball.

 

"Yeah, we do," Jeffrey sighed.
