Last Names

In most of the recent S-E games we see, all the main characters have last names. Why did Sora, Kairi, and Riku not have last names?

Maybe they couldn't think of any, or maybe they are unimportant.

 

Yeah. Last Names are a little unneeded ,y'know what i mean?????

 

For my theory, I think there was meant for a last name, but just didn't decided of putting it up. But for same answer... maybe it was no importance. In later games it could reveal the last name. Showing full data.

Though, if they don't I seriously wish they'd at least give info about the last names. I mean, Kairi does go to school right? With Selphie, they gotta have last names! xD

Though, now that I think about it. Maybe they don't have last names due to the nobodies and heartless and stuff. But I dunno ^^;;

 

I just thought it was strange because they give last names to alot of the FF characters.

Terra and them don't have last names and they're main characters ._.

I agree with Reptar and Azure, They might be unimportant and maybe nothing fit.

I like to know this sort of thing, but I don't mind that I don't. The game doesn't seem detailed enough to include all this info. I agree that names were probably thought of for the characters, but it works fine without them.
Hopefully we find out these names one day, for fans who care about that stuff, but it's nice enough knowing all the characters by their first or only name.

They don't have to. If the creators didn't want to give them last names, it's their choice. Besides, last names aren't really that important. The story isn't going to change at all if they have last names.

 

But it would help us know if the Chasers are related to Sora, Riku, and Kairi, wouldn't it?

 

We'll find out in BBS. If they had last names that matched any of them, then that would ruin the suspense, and the creators don't want that. They like keeping us on our toes, sitting at the edge of our seats. Games would be boring without suspense. So, think about it, would you really want to know now, and have the game ruined for you? I wouldn't.

 

I would XD Because I'm a spoiler person, but I didn't think about it spoiling the story in any way... So I suppose that's a major reason why.

I don't know but I've always imagined that Sora's Last name should be Hikari. IDK why.
