I put it like that to symbolize creativity.

It can be whatever you want it to be.

 

I see darkness, like the horror in someone's life as everything they love leaves them, their life crumbling before their very eyes... and they watch, helplessly as depression befalls them. They are then blinded by anxiety and hunger for affection that they lash out at others and consequently end up alone, crying out for someone to come only to hear the breeze as they stand on the roof of a building. Driven by madness and a craving for love they just want freedom, they cannot see a bright future no matter what people say... there is NO light at the end of the tunnel so all they see is darkness. The rectangle represents how their life is boxed in to one meaning alone- depression but it is ambiguous, it can also be ironic for how the persons life has no structure while the rectangle clearly does.
