A full-fledged anime with a story and puzzles approved by Level-5 (the Layton development team). I saw a full page color ad for it in the new Shonen Jump (Yes, I buy the magazine. Deal with it.) and almost cried [wo]manly tears of joy~

 

Probably not considering we watched it in voxli xD It's good.

The last thing I remember, I was looking for something. A cat, maybe? Or a girl that had gone missing.

I stopped playing because I would not move on if I did not complete every puzzle with perfect marks.

xDDD I do that. If I get it wrong or use a hint coin, I turn it off without saving. I completed this last one without using a single hint coin and got the full amount of picarats for every puzzle.

The puzzle that tripped me up was this one where you had to move cars in a certain order in order to get one of them straight through to the other side. I could not get it.

 

Um...yeeeeeah.

Yeah.

Oh, I remember that. Those type of puzzles take me forever to figure out (there are equivilents in the other games), I do them eventually but they take me a while.

 

It was great. I need to download it later.

 

Where you have to move the cars and get the Laytonmobile across?

Bah, who am I kidding? This thing got me through Chelmey's Route on The Diabolical Box. Without it, I wouldn't have experienced true tears from a game for the second time~

 

I'm actually quite proud I managed to get through all the games without going down this method though it did take me a while. Though I am currently hating that stupid parrot mini game in The Lost Future.

 

I am honorable to a fault. I never use walkthroughs, but I do try every route imaginable until I find the right one.

Honestly, this is my last resort. I tried to solve Chelmey's Route for almost a month non-stop before I caved and used the walkthrough. Also, don't waste hint coins on it. They don't help a bit.

 

Remind me, which one is that?

Also in the thread about The Lost Future/Unwound/whatever you mentioned a puzzle at the Thames Arms that spells Lie or something like that. I've been trying to work out for ages which one it is and I can't. Give me a clue?
