Thanks. It took me a bit of dabbling on a lukewarm GIMP to get the contrast just right. Hell, even now it doesn't look good to me but whatever.

 

Might I suggest... Duplicating the layer, setting the filter to either Grain Merge or Overlay and lowering the opacity to around twenty percent?
