"Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake." ~ Henry David Thoreau

"Unjust laws exist: shall we be content to obey them, or shall we endeavor to amend them, and obey them until we have succeeded, or shall we transgress them at once?" ~ Henry David Thoreau

"Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves." ~ Henry David Thoreau

"I think that we should be men first, and subjects afterward. It is not so desirable to cultivate a respect for the law, so much as for the right." ~ Henry David Thoreau, Civil Disobedience, 1849

"It is not a man's duty, as a matter of course, to devote himself to the eradication of any, even the most enormous wrong; he may still properly have other concerns to engage him; but it is his duty, at least, to wash his hands of it, and, if he gives it no thought longer, not to give it practically his support. If I devote myself to other pursuits and contemplations, I must first see, at least, that I do not pursue them sitting upon another man's shoulders." ~ Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobedience

"If ... the machine of government ... is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then, I say, break the law." ~ Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobediance, 1849

Aye, you could have gone worse than Thoreau. But what of Emerson?

I have not taken any classes either, so I ask merely as a matter of interest rather than education.

    ...I am confused. x_x
Maybe you should make yourself a nice cup of coffee to warm yourself up or something. After all, that would be my first recommendation :P
No worries. It was slightly ironic, however xD

I am serious when I need to be, but I am a very lighthearted individual as well. Just like my cup of coffee, I'm a perfect blend.

The 3DS actually has a lot of games going for it right now. 2012 has Kid Icarus, Paper Mario, Mario Tennis, Fire Emblem, etc...It's going to be a great year. :D
Thoreau is a pretty interesting character. He actually went to jail because he refused to pay a poll tax. That is a sign of character and integrity.

I haven't read anything on Emerson, but I suppose I can look at some of his works now :3

Thoreau was a student and close friend of Emerson's. They go hand in hand. I am surprised you did not hear of him at the same time.

Kelly, would you mind if I gift wrapped you and sent you to the Capcom HQ so you can jump out and threaten them with your unforseen manliness your countless arsenal of kickass weaponry since they refused to release Ace Attorney Investigations 2 over here, please?

Why does my mind have to be so dirty? Maki my dear, I blame you.

But I accept. Ship me off to Japan or wherever the devil their HQ is and I shall see what I can do. I require a fee for my services though. Your head, hung above my fireplace. You'll make a lovely wall mount, Finny.

Makaze = trap? Or am I still confused? >__>

Also, you may call me Scruffy. That is generally my nickname. Unless you can come up with something else :3
Nah, we just weren't required to read about Emerson, oddly enough..

I shall leave that up to Makaze to decide.

I may call you Scruff... How did you come up with that username? (Totally thinking of Scrappy from Scooby-Doo...)

Well, those franchises are already great and there's no doubt that the new entries will be equally praiseworthy. I'm just looking forward to those two a bit more since I was never as big a fan of Kid Icarius, Fire Emblem, Paper Mario, etc.

I'll probably give them a go when they're released though.

    HEY MAN

DON'T HIDE DA TRUTH FROM A BROTHA

It is based off of my last name. My dad was called that growing up, and I've been called that, so I guess there's a bit of legacy to it xD
You weren't a big fan of Paper Mario? D: <

Paper Mario 64 and TTYD were fantastic. Super Paper Mario was a huge disappoint, so I'm glad that they're returning to the original style with Paper Mario 3DS.

Also..I've been hyping up Kid Icarus for awhile now. It might be one of my most anticipated games.

I only ever played the Wii entry, so that could explain it.

I had an N64 when a cousin of mine gave it to me. None of the used games we bought for it worked though (I was so disappointed when Smash Bros. didn't run) so we just gave it back to him.
