You know, there's probably a reason they put the word "dying" right at the end of "studying". Stupid exams... So how's everyone today?

Lulz, late reply is laaaaaaaate. Anyways, yes I did. I went to a small anime convention hosted by a high school. It was a lot of fun, and afterwards, I got to see my cousins! ^-^

Hi Lox! I'm fine. A bit tired. Got back from going on a tour at a community collage a few hours ago.

You know, I have never been to an anime convention before.

I so long to go to an anime convention :<

I really want to cosplay too, but that costs so much for someone with no job + no costume making skills

*gasp!* You should go, seriously. They're so much fun like you wouldn't believe. I recommend having lots of money though. A good anime convention has LOTS of geeky stuff to buy. Comic cons do to. Actually, pretty much any convention has lots of stuff to buy. And you get to meet cosplayers and go to panels and watch much anime. I suggest any and all AMV showings. Those are always fun, and often epic.

@Hayabusa: Go as L. It's the cheapest cosplay ever.

I don't know, I'd probably only go if someone went with me. I get nervous when it comes to such things...

Sorry DT...I lol'd...in the actual sense, not the brief smirk or none facial muscle moment whatsoever that usually occurs.
This is wrong though, he could always build an animatronic pirate that sings Disney songs. I'd go to it's birthday party.

    @Haya

I think I'm going to a convention in June with some friends, haven't deiced if I'll cosplay. I'd probably end up being Mustang due to hair similarities and the ability to demand miniskirts. We couldn't afford to go to the one last september, William Shatner was there. ._. I still die on the inside from not going..

It is the capital city of Alberta, which is in Canada. It's the almost-rectangular one in the middle left. On the Western side of the country, next to the Rockies. Also, it's in North America.

Canada's in North America? You don't say... /sarcasm

Anyway, if you are serious about this I'll... have to give it some thought.

I'm going for a walk. Be right back.

Totally serious. I can show you around, make sure we get into the line at the Costume contest on time, Go to AMV Comedy hour and AMV Mortal Kombat and the Exposition and the Artist Alley and maybe we will go to a nearby restraunt if we remember to eat. It doesn't always happen. Too much fun is going on.

Everyone should go to conventions. Because they are epic. It doesn't really matter if you come to Edmonton or not I suppose, but you should go to one soon. Then you will kow their awesomeness and rejoice in the wonder!

I live in Washington State which is on the border. And going by this, I estimate the flight should be around four to six hours long.

Whoa. Normally, I'd say that's pretty far, but I've ben to Ottawa twice and my sense of time and distance is slightly different than everyone else's. Anyways, if you can make it, let me know, if not, that's fine. Here's the link to Animethon's website. It's not a big con like Anime North or Comic Con in San Diego (some day Comic Com. Someday) but It's still lots of fun. I'm just not sure it's worth a trip across the border.
