However I meant any of us as any of us, and not other people that haven't been part of these threads, or that we don't all agree on. Simply because a random steal wouldn't be as fun.

 

Rules for the end of an LPTP as of this round are if you didn't post in the first 4800 messages, you can't win it. I think... Something like that. Either way, I don't think a random steal will happen.

 

You can win. You just can't win by locking it.

 

In the time it'd take one of us to tell another mod who isn't involved to lock it, we'd have lost.
You're asking us to suffer for the job.

 

Just post. Someone will notice eventually.

 

Well if that rule isn't in effect then the mod that locks it is guaranteed the win.

Which means anyone who isn't a mod can't win.

If neither of you lock it, but tell another mod to lock it, and come back and post, you have a chance. It's not like they'll see it immediately.

 

I think we established a long time ago a mod that locks the thread is not considered the winner.

I can agree to this. But a mod cannot lock it as post 5000 and win.

Because even though it doesn't matter, it's more fun if it's not locked yet.

 

Isn't there normally a post spam that happens once we get really close? Posts flying every four seconds, people desperately hitting "Post Reply" until the timer hits zero, lots of nonsense replies. I've never been in one. I want to.
