"That's a very cute name!"

 

Serah blushed brightly and put her hat back on.

"You want to go grab a bite to eat or something?"

 

"Uh, sure......."

 

"I know of a good place that has the best sweets around." Serah said as she walked with Alex to the place.

 

Alex's face was deep red as she followed Serah.

 

Serah was still blushing, although you couldn't see it under the hat.

"Here we are."

 

"Wow, everything look so good!" Kaduj was already there, eating a dark chocolate cupcake.

 

"I like to come here pretty often. I need the energy to practice magic."

 

"You're a mage?! Wow, that's so cool!"

 

"I learned it from my mom. She's a summoner." Serah said before she started eating a cupcake.

 

Alex began to eat a brownie.

 

Serah took her hat off and smiled.

"So are you a priestess?" She asked, looking at what Alex had on.

 

"Just started. I've been on my own for a long time, people told me if I join the temple here in the capital, I can find out my past."

 

"You don't remember your past? Sounds like what I would have went through if my mothers hadn't have adopted me."

 

"You were adopted?"

 

"My mothers found me as a baby in the woods. Apparantly, my biological mother abandoned me there. I've always considered my adoptive mothers my true parents though."

 

"Well, I hoped your real mom got what she deserved."

"You could say that." Miko was at the counter, eating some cookies and brownies.

 

Serah finished eating a cookie.

"What do you mean by that?"

 

"Oh, I saw some people standing over a woman's dead body. Did a magic scan and found your real mother, who I decided to take care of."

 

"So my real mom is dead....wish I could have seen her beforehand and told her how much I hated her."
