"Than I'll make sure to win." Maya began to unleash a chain of attacks.

 

Elinia deflected the attacks.

 

Steadily, Maya's attacks grew stronger, but also tears were forming in her eyes.

 

Elinia eventually dropped her daggers.

"You've gotten a lot stronger, my daughter."

 

"Daughter.....? What are you talking about? I have no family, no past........."

 

"I hid your past from you when I brought you here. You are my daughter, the future goddess of wealth."

 

Maya gasped, slowly backing out of the store and then ran out to the castle, crying hard. She past Kyo, who entered the shop. "Hello there, Lady Elinia."

 

"You've been watching us the whole time, haven't you?"

Ghaleon hugged Maya as she entered the castle.

"What's wrong, Maya?"

 

"I won't do such a thing. I have a goddess for a child myself, you know."

"I...... I'm a goddess........ Daughter of the goddess of wealth, Elinia.........."

 

"I know that." Elinia said.

Ghaleon was a little surprised, but still held her close.

 

Maya held him, crying.

Kyo sighed, "So, what are you doing down here?"

 

Ghaleon gently kissed her.

"I came down to get a few trinkets. How'd Maya know I was going to be here though?" Elinia said.

 

"She must have something of a robbery and tried to be a hero instead of a thief."

 

"I've got the feeling someone told her I was going to be here. You wouldn't be hiding anything from me now, would you?"

 

"Of course not. Miko, I can't really say."

 

"Whatever. I'm going to go see my daughter." Elinia said as she started to sneak to the castle.

 

Maya was in the garden, sitting near the fountain. She was trying to take in the truth.

 

Elinia approached her.

"It's a lot to take in, isn't it? The fact that you're the daughter of a goddess."

 

"Why leave me to hated by others? Was there something not right with me?"
