Legend of Dragoon: Advent of the Sindori

"I see.....there's no way I'll let him harm our children."

 

Maya sighed and held him.

The man appeared in the nursery and stared at the twins. He grabbed Lana, she woke up and began to cry loudly. The man sensed something and was knocked out the window by a fire red monstrous creature who gently grabbed Lana. A blue-skinned woman gently took her and the creature went after the man. It roared loudly.

"What just happened?" Miko asked, watching. Aerith smiled.

"Ifrit is usually the fiercest of the summons. Sensing his summoner in danger, he protected her and is going after her attacker."

 

"Did you just hear something from the nursery, Maya?"

 

Maya went to the nursery and saw the woman holding Lana. She ran to the window and saw the creature fighting the man.

 

Ghaleon followed her and looked a little shocked.

 

The man disappeared and the creature returned. Lana smiled at it and the woman and they both disappeared within her. Maya caught her and sighed. "Lana is a summoner..........."

 

"Who would have guessed?"

 

"You caught on more quickly than I did." Aerith appeared in the room. She smiled at them.

 

"So Lana was meant to be a summoner all along....I'll have to teach Lita how to be a berserker then. I've seen the potential in her eyes."

 

"I came down to drop this off. I don't know this man's indentations, but Lana's summons will protect her if he attacks again. I'll be down again in a few days. So, how about showing the king his adorable granddaughters?" Aerith left a bag of jewels on a table and disappeared as Miko appeared.

"You were never good at hiding your true feelings, Aerith." She sighed.

 

Ghaleon yawned as he went to bed. He wanted to get a little sleep before the sun rose.

 

Miko took Lana back to the nursery and Maya fell asleep.

 

Ghaleon stretched as he woke up the next morning. He went to the nursery to check on the girls and found that Lita had climbed out of her crib.

"You're up early this morning, aren't you?" He said as he picked her up.

 

Maya woke up and went to the nursery, picking up Lana.

 

"Lita is getting pretty brave. She climbed out of her crib on her own."

 

"Yes, she is. But Lana seems very quiet." Maya felt twitchy, having not stolen anything in a while caused her to be a little nervous.

 

"I think it's time you went back to work, Maya. I can tell you're getting antsy, not having stolen anything in a while."

 

Maya smiled and nodded. "Thanks. I really need to get back to the job I'm best at."

 

"Just be careful out there."

 

Maya nodded, setting Lana down and left the room. She changed into her thief clothes and waited for her assignment.
