Before he wrote the Series of Unfortunate Events, he used the Nom de Plume "Lemony Snicket" to write angry letters to newspapers, pretending to be absolutely furious at trivial subjects printed in said newspaper.

He actually wrote a book called Adverbs under his real name, Daniel Handler, which was really excellent. <3 And it featured one of my favorite songs~
