OoC: Sorry I've been gone for so long. I'll probably post later in the day. Nice post, Advent, you can definately be Ryuk. Just remember, Snake can see Ryuk as well. Does anyone think we should start a Kira Case yet? As in, reveal to the rest of the school that there's a Death Note here? ... God damnit, when is this set? So far I've been pretending that Light never got the Death Note back from Ryuk or something.

 

OOC- Well, if L's even still alive the Wammy boys should be 14, 13 and 12... Or even 13, 12 and 11 if it's early in the time of Light's memory loss. So it's kinda impossible to set a specific and cannon time.

OoC: Cool, I'll be Ryuk then! So wait does this mean Just is Kira? Because I kinda hinted in my post that more shinigami could come and drop their notebooks (basically saying that without getting too crazy, a couple of other people could get notebooks).

I know, I'm just pointing it out because I don't know how much my character will use his notebook.

BIC: Around midnight that night, Just was lying awake in bed looking at the ceiling. He had been raised by strict, by the books Catholic parents and always learned of the countless stories of the Bible. For about a year, he had started to question God's existence. The world's a pretty lousy place. How could any god exist in a world where a random person could right down a name and kill someone? All because some fiend was bored... He glanced over at Ryuk out of the corner of his eye. He was devouring an apple.

Well it doesn't matter. God or no god, I have to keep this notebook. If I give it up, who knows who would pick it up? At least I will only use it against criminals. And even so, I won't be using it often. I won't make the mistakes Kira did. I have to keep this subtle. But wait...

He sat up in his bed, "Shinigami... I mean Ryuk." he said forcefully, "Is there anyone in this school who has touched this notebook? That is after all the only way a person can see you." Ryuk laughed, "None of your business."

Just stood up, "Tell me you gothic albino freak!" he said almost yelling. He took a deep breath and tried to calm down. This notebook... it's really getting to me! This paranoia... I can't stand it!

Ryuk laughed hysterically, "You're losing it, kid."

He's right... but I can't give this notebook up!

"Well now that I have your attention" Ryuk started, "I'll let you in on a little secret." He laughed again, "Any person who uses the death note can neither go to heaven nor hell. You must endure the pain and suffering of those killed by that note." He laughed.

Just stood wide-eyed. Nothing was even vaguely important to him now except how all those years of catechism, all those years of Bible-bashing lectures, all for nothing.

If this shinigami was telling the truth... how!?

He fell to his knees God... I was trying to make the world that much of a better place... why!? How could you forsake me!? He teared a little. But the tears began to turn into laughter.

"Well then," he began, "I should make my time here worth it. If what you say is true than the god of this world is a cruel one. Someone has to be the omnipotent judge of this world to make sure that the good people of this world live happy lives before facing the sadist god of this world. I will judge the living: the good will be happy and the evil will suffer by my hand. I am not Kira. No not by a long shot. I am far above him. I will learn from his mistakes, and purge the world of evil." He pulled out the notebook and held it up, "My gavel will be heard through out the world... my world... my utopia!"

Ryuk laughed, "Humans are so interesting."

 

OoC:... You're pretty good at this.

IC: "ACHOO!" Light sneezed like an atomic explosion. The sound woke up Misa, who had insisted that she sleep in the same room as him, even though it meant sleeping on the couch.

"What's wrong, Raito-kun?" Misa asked worriedly. Light rubbed his nose.

"I think somewhere someone is acting like me or something," Light mumbled, touching his nose.

Elsewhere, Snake couldn't sleep. He'd been tossing and turning all night. For some reason, he couldn't put that black notebook out of his mind. Why would someone ever make something like that?

I have to get to sleep, I can't be a zombie on my second day of school, Snake tried to tell himself. It didn't work. Snake slid out of his bed and dressed.

I have to find that notebook again.

A few minutes later, Snake found himself in the school grounds, at midnight, looking for a black notebook. Snake mentally kicked himself for his stupidity. Finally, Snake came across where he'd first discovered it.

It was gone.

What, did someone find it? Who would pick something like that up? Snake thought. Almost against his will, he remembered the monkey-like figure he'd seen the day before. Was that somehow connected? Only Snake had been able to see it... Wait a second! One of the new kids had been missing when they went to meet L. What if he...? No, that meant nothing.

I'm thinking in circles! Snake berated himself. Shivering, Snake hurried back inside. A minute later Snake padded down the corridor to his room, thankful that he hadn't disturbed anyone. As Snake touched the door to his room, he froze. Someone was talking? Snake edged closer to the sound.

"... so interesting," something said. Snake found the door that the sound was coming from. It was ever-so-slightly ajar. Snake set his eye to it. Through the door, Snake spotted two indistinct figures. He couldn't see any features in the gloom.

The door creaked. Snake leaped back from the door, startled, and took off down the corridor and into his room. He hoped that the two hadn't heard him evesdropping.

OoC: I just found a really cool rule in Ep 20. If the same name is written on two Death Notes in a close enough time span then the person won't die! I hope we can somehow work that into this RP.

 

OOC- Cool, i knew there was a rule like taht!

IC-

Koian by now was in her dorm room. She wasnt sleep but was talking on the phone with a friend in America. ''Yea.. Japan is a drag..'' She said into the phone. ''Why did u even bother to go there?'' The friend asked her. ''Well.. You know.. i told u already..''Koian said yawning. ''Oh right.'' The friend replyed. ''Well G'Night.'' She said hanging up before a reply. Koian laid down on her bed reading a magizine from America.

At mid-night Koian heard loud foot steps running down the hall. What was that? She put her robe on and steped out side opening the door. She didnt see anyone but heard a door slam. ''That was weird.'' She said to herself. Koian turned around to go to bed but she saw something in the corner of her eye. She turned her head. Weird.. She saw nothing changed, she saw her notebook on her desk her pen on the side of it and such. ''It was nothing..I need to get soem sleep.'' She said getting in bed. She closed her eyes and feel asleep.

Wow, that rule could make for interesting RP'ing... And thank you by the way. ^_^

IC:

Just turned around abruptly, hearing heavy footsteps outside What was that?

He went over to his door and realized that he had kept it slightly open, "Son of a..." he was about to yell, but held back his anger. Ryuk laughed. Just poked his head out slightly to see who was there. No one. They must have already left.

Crap! I have to be more careful! Who knows who could have seen me!? Or worse yet heard me...

Ryuk stared at Just, This guy is almost as entertaining as Light. I can't wait to see him snap!

Just went back into his room. He made a point to close and lock his door. "Well that's all for tonight, Ryuk. I need rest because tomorrow will be the advent of my new world... My perfect world."

He got into bed and closed his eyes after hiding the notebook. He had covered it with a false cover that read "Calculus" and put it in his backpack in between many other books. He drifted to sleep, ready to make the world a better place. No matter what the cost.

 

OOC- Palidin is right ur good at this. Im kinda new to Death note rps xD

IC-

Koian woke up the next morning. She turned in the bed before getting up and out. When she got out of bed she put all her stuff into her bag getting it ready for class. Yawning she fixed and brushed out her hair. Koian changed into cleaner clothing and grabed her bag. It was about 8:00 AM and she had to get breakfest before her first class.

When Koian got to the Cafeiteria her eyes widen. It was amazing to her, 2 Cafes, 1 Smothie Shop, 1 Ice cream Shop, and 2 Pizza Reias. It was liek food heaven on earth. She walked to a Cafe called Starbucks. She was familier with this cafe. Starbucks was from America and such. She went to the register and ordered a Slice of Pumpkin Bread and a Decaf Grand Latte with a cinnimon twist. Seh payed and waited for her drink to be done. When it came shetoke her food and drink to a nearby table. She sat down and began to eat her food. There were a few other students here but they were doing late work or something.

IC:

Just awoke to a sharp screech. He put his hand down on the alarm clock. 7:30 A.M. Just enough time to start building my new world.

He wrote names that he saw on the news and in newspapers. He made sure that the criminals' deaths weren't simply heart attacks, and that the time in between each death wasn't the same for every occurrence. He made sure there were no patterns. He wrote down the names of criminals such that criminals would be dying through midnight that night. That should be enough for now. Later, I'll start to reveal that someone is behind these deaths. Though I'm sure plenty of people will begin to notice soon enough anyway.

With that, he left his room, took his books (including the notebook, which he made sure was still disguised and hidden in his backpack) and headed to breakfast with the other students.

 

OoC: Is Ryuk still following Just? If so, then breakfast could be a little awkward :p

IC:When Snake woke up that morning he smashed his forehead against his pillow.

Why am I being so paranoid? So someone had another person in their room, maybe it was a girl. If the notebook's missing, then it was probably lost property and someone returned it.

Snake packed his school bag, shoving objects in at random. Was he going insane? Had the thing he seen even been real? Snake tried to put the thought out of his mind and stepped out into the corridor. Unconsciously, he looked down the corridor to the door he'd listened at in the night. Just stepped out of it. Snake followed the kid to the cafeteria.

Ok, I'll just see if this guy has the notebook. If he does, I'll ask him about it. If he doesn't, then that'll be the end of it, Snake told himself.

 

OoC:

Oh right. xD Yea Ryuk isn't following Just around outside his room.

IC:

Just closed the door to his room and ensured that it was locked. He pocketed the key and walked down the corridor.

If it wasn't for aunt Hellen and her insane love of apples, I would have never been able to bribe that freak into staying in the room. Anyone in the school could have touched that notebook, and the las thing I need is suspicion...

As he turned the corner he saw another student following him. It was that guy Snake from physics. he turned his head to look back and then pretended to have just noticed him at that moment. "Hey, it's Snake, right? What's up?"

 

Obviously if I ever become a detective I'll have to work on my stalking skills, Snake thought sarcastically.

"Hey," Snake replied, "I'm still feeling a bit wierd about these codenames we have to have. I mean, I think just about everyone here has one."

Unbidden, his mind recalled the instruction page of the black notebook. The human whose name is written in this notebook shall die. A coincidence...?

Should I ask him about the notebook? Will that look too suspicious? He might suspect that I was listening at his door last night, Snake thought.

"Well, let's go see if the food is as wierd as the rest of the school," Snake suggested, the two of them nearing the cafeteria.

OoC: Wow, Just and Snake are the KINGS of monologues :p. By the way, found another cool rule in the comercial bumper for ep 30. "If a DEATH NOTE owner accidentally misspells a name four times, that person will be free from being killed by a DEATH NOTE. However, if they intentionally misspell the name four times, the DEATH NOTE user will die." The next bumper then says that the person whose name was deliberately misspelled four times will still be able to be killed by a DEATH NOTE.

The Near and Mello arc is filled with trippy rules o_O

IC:

Just laughed, "Yea, this place is like no school I've ever been to. And you're right about the aliases. On the first day I accidentally said my real name in front of that Diary chick." he said jokingly.

This guy's alright, but I have to be careful, espescially since our dorms are in the same hall...

He and Snake entered the cafeteria and noticed that all the seats were taken except a few near a girl devouring some Starbucks products.

"Oh, I see a few seats."

 

OoC: Is it just me or am I getting a Just/Light vs Snake/L vibe?

IC: Snake got his food along with Just and sat down with him at one of the tables. He began to eat, glancing at Just's bag every now and then. Now beyond wondering why he cared about a notebook so much, Snake wondered how he'd find out if Just had it or not.

Wait a second... Maybe I'm over-thinking this. Sometimes it pays to be blunt.

"Hey, Just, did you find a black notebook with 'Death Note' written on the cover?" Snake asked innocently.

 

OOC- I was thinking the same thing.

IC-

Koian glanced around at the other students then at her food she was still eating. When she got done with her Pumpkin bread she picked up a napkin and wiped her mouth. She sat for a moment and pulled out her book from her bag she had with her. She continued to read it. Koian held her place for a second and drank some of her drink. Then went back to her reading.

 

Flare sighed, picking at her lunch. She took a bite from a warm, buttery croisant and put it back down. It was only about half way through the day and she was beat. She wondered to herself if she really deserved to be in this school. If she could barely stay awake, then it would be a difficult academy.

She put down the croisant and then took a mouthful of lo main, a chinese noodle dish. Chewing thoughtfully, she openned up her notebook and took a look at her notes. They were studying really hard, and even if she was tired she was determined to stay smart.

OOC: I might be getting Death Note:another note today :D​

 

Koian put her book into her bag and stood up. She left the room and threw her trash away. Koian walked quietly to her first class. She wanted to get a head start a bit.
