L's Academy: Change the WorLd

As Luna nibbled thoughtfully on the strawberry she gazed around the room to see who else was willing to speak to the great detective.

"Then why do it you twit?" Mello facepalmed

 

Dein raised his hand slightly, opting to ask a question in a similiar style he had in high school, but almost immediantly retracted his hand as he realised he had gone to do so...

He started to eat another strawberry when no one talked. "Then those who have nothing to say can leave now. Let Watari assign you all your rooms." He said before seeing Dein almost raising his hand. "Is there something wrong?"


"Because I can."

 

"Not really..." Dein shrugged shifting slightly at the attention. "But, exactly what did we do to get ourselves here...?"

 

"I'm sorry to say but that's for you to figure out."

 

"We travelled?" Lana muttered snarkily under her breath, unable to resist the sarcastic comment.

"You're a freak Near." Mello muttered. "A huge freak."

Matt had decided against going inside to try and prevent Mell ofrom getting overly zealous with his Near taunting and to go see L's introduction to the students. He genuinly couldn't be bothered with either at that moment in time, having spent most of the last night playing his way through a Final Fantasy game on his PS2 then sleeping. A decision he now regretted as he sat on one of the benches just outside the school buliding, bent over his DS still, however no longer playing The World Ends With You.

 

"And you're not?"


Jensis had gotten bored of the whole L thing a while ago and left to go outside when she saw Matt

 

Dein nodded, shifting slighlty, and queitly stepping behind the nearest person to him, ignoring the smart remark.

 

"At least I'm the right size for my age shortarse." Mello muttered grumpily. "And I actually act like may age too."

Matt looked up at the moment that Jenisis came outside, smiling at her in a friendly manner. It's that redhaired girl from earlier isn't it...?

 

"Whatever."

L put the strawberries down. Matt, Mello, and Near are not here....Hope they're not fighting again


She waved slightly to him

 

"You're an annoying, short, idiot you are." Mello taunted, pelting Near with small bits of half melted chocolate.

"Hey." Matt nodded, waving back.

 

He stood up. "Is there something you want?"

She went over to him. "So who are you?"

 

"Not really, just lacking something better to do." Mello grinned cheekily, continuing to pelt him with the sticky chocolate.

"Name's Matt, you?" He asked, snapping the DS shut.

 

He sighed and brushed the choclate aside and walked away figuring it was best to just ingore him and pray he gets bored

"Name's Jensis."

 

"Bored!" Mello groaned, continuing to throw the pieces of toys he found down the back of the sofa he was sitting on.

"Nice name." Matt smiled. "It's pretty."

 

He went into his room. "Just typical..."


"Thanks."

 

Mello sat alon for a moment in a sulk. "God today sucks." He muttered, eating the remainder of his chocolate in a depressive manner.

"You know... That wasn't exactly a pleasant thing to do." Lana said, glaring slightly at Mello from the other doorway to the room. Having observed most of the taunting she was certainly not amused by the bullly boy behaviour Mello had just displayed.

"Am I bothered?" Mello asked dismissively. "It's just Near." he shrugged.

"No worries." Matt grinned. "You a student here?"

 

"Yes I am. What about you?"

 

"Err... I'm kind of a teacher here. L asked Mello and Mello dragged me into it, as always. He'll be the death of me, I swear." Matt chuckled, unaware of just how accurate that could prove to be. "Doubt I'll be doing much. I don't really like teaching, unless it's about some sort of video game. Which isn't exactly on L's curriculum."

"Not like it has feelings." Mello shrugged. "And if it does it doesn't have a large range of them, just arrogance."

Lana wrinkled her nose in disgust at Mello's callous words. "That's just... Wow... Lowest opinion I've ever had of person just seems the perfect human compared to you right now." She muttered, turning away from him. "Just because someone isn't emotional doesn't mean they don't feel you prick." She added before walking off.

 

"And I doubt the other students would like to learn about games...However some of them would like to play some." She paused. "You don't really look old enough to be a techer."
