Mafia [Mafia] Miami Haze ~ GAME OVER (MAFIA WINS)

Anyway guys, we're kind of getting distracted here. We need to choose who to look into in more detail, if Makaze is not going to be today's lynchee. We can either continue to try and get the inactive to post, then when it comes down to it, decide on one and lynch them or look into one of the slightly more active suspicious members which we have more to base our accusations on and can get more of a debate going. (default, The Fuk?, Cat~ and Caitlin have all been mentioned at various points)

Bearing in mind what Marushi said about being suspicious of the vocal, yet not spotlighted people I'd like to follow along this track.

Can we have some thoughts please Cat?

 

Seeing as several hours have passed and absolutely no one agrees with me about The Fuk?, I think it's time to put on the pressure or at least help with some momentum.

All of the actives have given their general opinions. We need more from others, or we need them out of the way. As harsh as it may seem, if you aren't with us, you're against us.

Oh lord, I haven't made a lengthy/relevant post in a while. Terribly sorry about that guys -- the sudden and painful shock to my sleep schedule hasn't particularly helped that. Also am pretty much stuck on mobile for the day so I apologize in advance for any typos here...

I've gotta say, I do agree with Marushi. Going back to the last game, being quiet got some people in trouble, and most of our suspicions on day one land on those who remain silent. Last time Jiku was vocal, and even though her info wasn't particularly helpful as much as it was just factual, it kept most people's suspicions away from her. If the mafia were to take anything away from that game then, it'd logically be something along the line of "staying vocal keeps you safe." In that respect, I can see why you'd be curious about me: someone who's found a comfortable spot in "no man's land," so to speak. I'm not particularly on anyone's radar and I'm active enough, but I'm not like you or Makaze either. I do tend to hop onto bandwagons, and that's my own fault for being afraid to put myself and my opinions out there.

In short, I agree with that line of logic. Pressure the people who're "safe" until you're absolutely sure you've got a good read on them -- even then, trust your gut instincts. I don't know what I could say to really convince you of my status as townie, and if you feel the need to pressure me further then I'll try to do so as best as I can. But for the time being there needs to be some kind of consensus on a soft lynch for the day. While I do think The Fuk? is more than a little suspicious, that vote doesn't seem to be going anywhere so I'll just go ahead and / / Vote: Bite the Dust / /

So the way I'm posting obviously isn't helping so I'm just gonna drop and let someone who can actually be active take over because I thought I could post in my free time but from now on I'll probably only get like 2 hours to be home before I go to sleep and I need that for homework and stuff. It really sucks coming in mid game but hopefully he won't mind. Sorry, guys.

Hmmm, beginning to get a sense of deja mustard deja vu right about now.

Fine, you guys want to hear who I'm wary of at this stage? I'm wary of all of the people actively trying to get people to vote for people and people who read way too deeply into things. Given how things have been going so far, that's about the majority of the active members right now. Yes, I'm aware that I should try to participate a little more since it is better to have more heads collaborating than fewer. But I honestly think that at this stage, where not a lot of solid info is available other than who is dead and how many votes there are for whoever, we can't really do much other than pick out people to kill off until we get a hit.

As for why I suspect the people that I do, as I recall, last game a lot of the mafia were the more active of the bunch. It is beneficial for the mafia to take control early in the game and make it seem like they are trying to help the townies. Of course, all of that is simply a misdirection tactic for them to go under the radar for a majority of the game. So, from my point of view, the people so adamantly insisting that everyone vote for certain people because of "scum-tells" are really just drawing more suspicion. Why would you have to insist that someone is mafia when your only evidence is a few misplaced words? Why insist that referring to a group objectively means that they are of the opposing faction, especially this early into the game?

Granted, I am grateful that there are people hounding others so doggedly. It makes for some excellent data on people who defend others. Right now, it's meaningless data that doesn't hold an ounce of weight on my decision making. However, the moment we lynch a member of the mafia, that once meaningless data will become a lot more significant in how I perceive people.

So there. There's my two cents on the whole situation. Satisfied?

Man, I feel like I am Under Pressure. I might just have a Sheer Heart Attack from it all.

Thank you for the information.[DOUBLEPOST=1409098697][/DOUBLEPOST]I don't believe Bite the Dust is scum. Their play style and way of looking at things isn't very structured. It focuses on the late game, which makes them a liability in early game. They will profit from the work of others without contributing. Not a team player. But it still make sense from a selfish town perspective.

Bottom line, not worth the lynch today.

Alright, so quite a few people have been suspicious of @default for many reasons, myself included, so maybe it's time to put him on the spot.

I like this idea right here. I think it would be good to each say whom we believe is the most suspicious to us personally out of these three categories, like last time when I asked everyone to rank their top five most likely mafia members. I feel like if we have some overlap in these three, then we might be able to narrow them down a bit. And like before, I ask that you spoiler / hide who you pick so that no one is compelled to just copy the first answer they see, though it doesn't entirely stop cheating, we can hold it to the honor system.

That's unfortunate to see Oblivion leave. Hopefully we don't have too many more people drop out. That would make the game rather displeasing.

Huh, top three picks from each category? Well, I'm afraid I don't have much to go on, and I'm actually feeling a bit under the weather and I haven't been able to think straight lately. So I might change my mind tomorrow or something after taking a second look at stuff, and I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna take the time to give much reason behind these picks yet. But these are my picks.

I'd say Makaze for most vocal, default for the middle, and as for the quieter ones, um... Hayabusa.

Bear in mind, I'm not necessarily saying that I definitely think these peeps are mafia, or that we should vote on them now or anything. But since I was asked to pick, these are my top guesses for now. Tomorrow I might expound.

However, while I'm here, I'd like to say that something's bothering me about Vivi's Darkside. Idk what that is yet, but I feel like there's something there. Again, I might expound tomorrow.

So so tempting to click all the spoilers and highlight all the hidden stuff but that would defeat the point. I've got to give my three from each group too. Out of curiosity which group am I in? Possibly middle? I don't know.

Anyway, I'm really really unsure so umm here goes nothing.

So I guess I'll start with most vocal, I'm still very suspicious of Makaze due to all the reasons that were thrown at him at the start of the day but my suspicions have lessened through the day but I still don't trust him completely and don't want to blindly follow him. Umm, other than Marushi (who I think is town) I don't know who else classes in this group. Oh, just remembered What? would count in this group I think, he is someone that I think needs keeping an eye on, due to his personality I think people automatically want to trust him and his arguments are very logical. There is nothing so far to make me suspect him but if he is mafia I think he might be one of the single biggest threats to the town.

Middle group, so The Fuk? I think needs looking into in more detail. I don't want to be quick to condemn him as I haven't really looked into his posts much and I think the misquote of Makaze might well have been accidental, that shouldn't be the only reason for wanting to lynch him. There's an awful lot of people in this group who are in a very safe place and I suspect that there may be a few mafia hiding here, my problem is none of them have done anything that makes me suspect them so I wouldn't know who to choose.

The inactive lot, I'm really bad for once a see a reason for inactivity to be just like oh okay and ignore them when they could well be mafia like Jayn was and as they aren't posting not give away anything. TwilightBlader and Hayabusa would be my picks from this group. Mainly because they've both posted jokey stuff I believe and I don't know I think if they tried they could contribute a lot more. It's harder to give reasons for this group as by definition they are inactive so don't give much to go on.

Done. Like I said I'm unsure about several of these but yay, now I can go back and look at all the spoilers!!

So far that is four members that find him suspicious and we need to pick someone to at least soft lynch or this will end up being a no lynch day.
