My Xbox Died :(

    I got the red ring (three) and I turned it off and two hours later it worked perfectly, and still does. That was two years ago.

    The RROD is usually caused by solder being melted and short-circuits the xboxs. It doesn't always short-circuit it, killing it, it only sends the RROD "message," so to speak. What you can do (Voids warranty), is to open it up and try using a soldering iron to fix it.

    Funfact; Some people temporarily fixed the RROD by putting a hot towel around the xbox and shook it. That way, the soldering iron got somewhat melted again, and somehow, it worked! Only temporarily though, as many of the older generations of the xbox had some problems with overheating.
    I have the new xbox, so I'm hoping I won't have this problem. It is, anyhow, most likely how you'd fix it.
