Implemented "Name log"

Hm, just checked mine and it's not displaying mine either... That's odd. o_o I can view it fine on other's profiles though. For now I guess just try to remember what usernames you've had, I'll try to find the problem. xD

 

Erm, quick question...

Why can you find the previous names? o:

I've looked into many people's actually just Jayn's because she's had the most name changes profiles, and I couldn't find anything. ;-;

 

If you'll look at the two posts above yours you'll find that there is a bug in the mod and it isn't showing up on all profiles. We're not sure why yet.

 

What was the reason for the full features being disabled?

 

Because it's just a bad idea in general to give certain people the abilty to change their name whenever they want? They would change it constantly, everything would become chaos and P would be banned.

 

Actually, you can put limits on it such as a two week minimum between changes and allow it only for certain groups. I think it was something along the lines of it's no hassle for Misty to do it at all and name changes tended to precede DBEs.

 

People would change it a lot more, and name changing puts quite a bit of stress on the server. At best site wide lag. At worst DBEs. And with people able to change names themselves certain people would find loopholes to rules, and rather than go through the whole moderation mess it is just easier to have an admin do it.

I don't know if this is related to the mod or not, but it seems like I'm the only one getting the problem. The pins displayed fine before. ​
