Naruto Shippuden: The Neo Akatsuki (Spoilers! Some dead characters are revealed!)

Eva paused, the pain barely discernable in her eyes. "I don't know." she murmured.

 

"...Are you a shinobi?" He questioned, easing his hand toward his kunai case with extreme subtlety and calmness.

 

Eva shrugged. "I jsut remember waking up in the woods over there." she smiled slightly. "I believe it's called amnesia."

 

Takashi stared at her long and hard, finding that she wasn't lying at all about her background.He moved his hand from his kunai container."..You live out here?"

 

Eva shrugged again. "I don't know. I suppose it might be a good thing. Whatever life I came from, I can start over. At the same time, maybe someone is looking for me. It's a double edged sword."

 

Takashi knelt down beside her and looked toward her for the first time."..You survived on your own, even as a child?..But how..?"

 

Eva smiled, her dark eyes meeting his. "I must've been smart...all I remember is a lot of light, a weapons room, someone screaming."

 

Takashi blinked as his white eyes met hers.There was always a strange case with children being left alone after attacks of some sort.This might just be one of them."Well..its in the past now, you're safe.Have you ever been in Konoha?"

 

Eva shook her head slowly. "I don't think so....should I go there?" she smiled slightly, cupping her hands and lowering them into the water.

 

"Well..you'd be safe and in a safe economic environment.You could get a job, start a shop..anything you desire." he explained.

 

Eva thought about it, bringing her hands up, then letting the water hang in the air. "Maybe......"

 

Takashi's eyes turned to the water."..Do you have a bloodline of some kind..or a jutsu that enables you to do that?"

 

Eva shrugged again. "I really don't know. Care to explain? Maybe it will trigger memories..." she sighed. "I hate not knowing."

 

"A bloodline is basically a jutsu that is in your family and no other's may use it.It can be a certain way of fighting, or something that aids you with sight and abilities..like this." Takashi shut his eyes and opened them again, revealing his Byakugan, veins bulging from sides of eyes.

 

Eva watched, her eyebrows furrowed. She bit her lower lip, thinking. "So...my parents gave me a jutsu?"

 

"Well this is a bloodline limit..a jutsu can be carried along from three schools.Taijutsu.Ninjutsu.and Genjutsu..what your doing now is either Ninjutsu or a sort of Genjutsu perhaps.." he tried thinking of what kind of jutsu would utilize floating water.Ninjutsu was likely.

 

Eva thought for a bit..."So...it's like belonging to someone? A family?"

 

"It's passed down from generation to generation.For instance, my father holds an eye bloodline called the Sharingan, wile my mother has the eye bloodline called the Byakugan, which you've just seen.My sister has the Sharingan, while I've got the Byakugan..it's sort of random, but it might depend on how you train as well."

 

Eva nodded. "Okay.....can I find my parents with this?"

 

"..It's possible you could.I don't know anyone else that can do that outside of a jutsu."
